Chapter 23:

Finally the day everyone was waiting for had arrived. The day of the festival

The 9 members were getting ready and repeating the lyrics in their minds.

The friends of Wonyoung performed also since they were in the same school and Wonyoung smiled as she saw their performance 'good as always' she thought.

"One!, Two!, Three! Lets Go!" they cheered with laugher as they headed to the stage, they bowed to the judges and the people who came and cheers started.

The lights turned on and off and the music played as they started their stage that they have been practicing for all these days.

They all wore black; their clothes were so cool it suited the dance and the song.

Everything went on perfectly, as they have been waiting for. They finished their stage and bowed again before coming down of the stage with giggles. They did great.

Wonyoung was talking and laughing with Jinny and Dohyon till she got that call...

"Wonyoung... can you come?" she sounded like she was crying, Wonyoung was scared and she wasn't able to say a word and tears formed in her eyes.

"wae unnie?" she asked.

"dad is sick" she sobbed.

"Unnie, I will be there soon don't worry and take care of dad till we arrive okay?" she said as she controlled her tears 'everything is going to be alright Wonyoung, stay strong' she told herself as she closed her eyes tightly and stopped her tears , she ended the call and walked to her sister.

"We have to go" she said as she tried to sound normal but what's the use?

Her dad's condition was getting worse and she couldn't do anything, she at least had to be strong for Yena.

"Hey, why are you crying..?? And we still have to wa-"she cut her off.

"Minju unnie called and said Dad's condition has gotten worse and we have to be there since Mom is in Bussan and unnie is alone in the hospital with Mr. Lee" and with her word Yena froze and her eyes became watery.

"Mianhae oppa, but me and unnie have to go" she said as she looked at Seungwoo with her eyes that was holding the tears back in, Seungwoo was worried.

"go and don't worry, I hope he gets better, stay by your father's side and we will come when it finishes" he said as he patted Wonyoung's shoulder and she .did a sad smile and grabbed Yena's hand who was frozen and headed out.

They grabbed a taxi and headed to the hospital, all the way Wonyoung was holding into Yena's hands.

The winner was announced and they all headed to the stage and everyone was cheering, the members were happy but not so much... since two of them were not there to celebrate together.

"There's two other people to share this moment with us, and That's our two members Wonyoung and Yena . unfortunately they had to leave before receiving the award, and I hope you guys take this moment and Pray for their father that is in hospital now. Thank you" Said Seungwoo as he bowed and everyone cheered, they all holded hands and bowed before coming down the stage.

As soon as they went backstage they were welcomed by some reporters for their interview.

"Seungwoo-shi how do you feel now that your team has won?" a man asked and Seungwoo smiled a little.

"We feel wonderful but it's such a waste that two of our members were not able to share the moment with us, and specially Wonyoung our Maknae she did most of the work, the song was written by her and the dance was choreographed by her and Dohyon our 2nd Maknae. Also our Joyful Rapper Yena I would like to thank both of them who had a lot of hardships" Seungwoo smiled and the reporter nodded.

"If you excuse us, we have to go to the hospital and be by their side." Seungwoo said and bowed a little as they all clapped and the members headed to the van.

In the car it was quiet, so quiet. Even thought they won still they weren't that much happy..

The three sisters were sitting and crying, their Dad was having a surgery and 2hours have passed yet there was no news, Mr. Lee didn't answer to the girls question yet he just comforted them even thought he knew everything.

The three of them were praying hard, and the hardest part was that their mother was in Bussan and said that she probably won't be able to arrive till late at night .

The 7 other members arrived with worried faces and they stood in their place when they saw the three of them crying.

The ones who rushed to them first were Chaeyeon, Dohyon.

Dohyon and Yohan went to Wonyoung while Chaeyeon and Wooshin went and comforted Yena.

Then Hyewon and Yujin went to Yena who was having a harder time while Seungwoo brought water and gave it to the three of them.

Seungwoo went and sat beside Minju, he sat beside her quietly "are you okay?" he asked and Minju nodded.

After 2 hours the doctor headed out of the surgery room and their heads lifted up as they rushed to him.

But his face wasn't pleased. "I'm sorry.." he said and they broke into pieces "We cant say anything now but we have to wait till he wakes up, he went into a coma but it will be temporally , we hope that he would wake up soon." The doctor said and Yena fell to the ground,crying.

While Wonyoung and Minju stood frozen as the doctor left. Tears formed in their eyes.

Wonyoung looked at Yena.. 'Daddy but... you can't go into a coma, what will happen to us?' she thought as a tear dropped she sat on the floor beside Yena and hugged her before Minju came and the three of them hugged each other and cried.

Yohan, Dohyon, Chaeyeon, Wooshin, Seungwoo, Yujin, Hyewon's eyes all became watery. They all felt them; they were able to feel the hurt in them.

After everyone calmed down and sat quietly Mr. Lee got a call and walked out Wonyoung quickly followed him 'I know he knows everything'.

She hided behind the wall as Mr. Lee picked up the call "Nea Mrs. choi"

"He went into a coma, the girls are pretty shocked. I don't know what to tell them they need you Mrs. choi"

"They kept asking me about the real sickness he have, should I tell them about it or not?."

"arrasseoyo Mrs. choi" he said as he ended the call, he sighed and looked back but eyes widened when he saw Wonyoung who had folded her hands and looking at him with glares.

"You better tell me right now oppa" she said and he blinked multiple times before he shook his head and smiled awkwardly "what are you talking about Wonyoung?" he said and tried to leave but Wonyoung stopped him.

Mr. Lee was a young man who was 26 years old he worked for them when he was only 20 so they knew him well.

"You know what I am talking about, what sickness does dad have and how serious it is." she asked as she shot him death glare "you know that I am angry now don't you? So tell me oppa" she said and he gulped hard.

He hesitated for a moment before finally opening his mouth "Cancer, he has cancer" he said and Wonyoung got silent

"H-how serious is it?" she asked weakly. "he is in stage 2, he can get well don't worry." He said as he patted Wonyoung's shoulders and Wonyoung shed a tear.

But he didn't tell her the other reasons, the cancer wasn't the only problem , the cancer and the chemotherapies decreased his immunity so much that it had caused him other side diseases which much the treatment so much harder.

Even thought he was in stage 2 but he had other diseases that made them stop the chemotherapies. And even now they had to do this surgery and the cancer wasn't the most important problem anymore. But he couldn't tell her that.

"But Wonyoung?" he asked and Wonyoung looked at him "can you please not tell Minju and Yena? I believe in you. You know that I will get in trouble If Mrs. and Mr. Choi found out that I told you okay?" he asked and Wonyoung nodded.

Mr. Lee smiled and walked to where the others were, Wonyoung stood in her place she felt so weak, she wanted to cry but she couldn't tears just couldn't come out. She walked to the rooftop of the hospital and sat in on a side of the rooftop, if someone saw her they would think she was doing a suicide but no. she was looking down with her tears so she would think abit.

"YA MICHEOSEO! " Yohan yelled as he quickly pulled Wonyoung away, and Wonyoung just looked at him blankly with her tears in her eyes.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING OF!" Yohan shouted at her face but she just cried "come here you stupid-"he said as hugged Wonyoung and she cried in his chest.

"You know you look like a kid now?, finally like your age" he said with a teasing tone after a moment of comforting and Wonyoung smiled a little with her teary eyes.

"shut up , I am not a kid" she said as she hit his chest slightly and he laughed quietly.

They sat down together and looked at the sky. "You know.. I wasn't thinking of suicide you pabo" she said as she smiled a little and Yohan just looked at her blankly.

"but.."

"I was just thinking, that's what I always do when I am thinking. I would go to high place and sit alone and just think, and how would you even think of something like that?" she said as she smiled at him before she looked at the sky again.

"Wonyoung...?

Will you be my girlfriend?" he said and Wonyoung froze "H-huh?"

"I said will you be my girlfriend?" he asked as he looked at Wonyoung with his Coldish Prince looks.

"Ho- I mean why? Why me?why now?" she asked as she locked eyes with him.

"Well because you are different and I like you." he said as he smiled and Wonyoung's heart beats started.

She was frozen she didn't know what to say how to react and what to do!

"Ya you know how hard it is to confesses!" he flicked her forehead with a glare which made Wonyoung chuckle.

"So that's a yes right??" He said cheerfully as he came near Wonyoung making their faces only inches away and Wonyoung chuckled.

"Whatever" she said with a laugh and Yohan Hugged her making Wonyoung laugh.

"but why now when we are in hospital and my dad is sick?" she asked,confused. Everything with this confession was wrong. Especially the timing.

"I don't know but when I saw you now I knew I had to do it and I wanted to make you forget about the sickness" he explained.

"you are weird, this is all weird" she mumbled.

"but you still agreed" he chuckled.

"excuse me, can I see my dad now?" Yena asked the nurse who came out from her dads room.

"sorry you cant see him now, but you can see him after 12 hours" she said as she started to walk away.

She looked at her dad laying in the bed ,lifeless like that as her heart sunk.

She caressed his face imaginary as she put her hand on the window.

"I am sorry appa" she said as tears formed in her eyes once again.

"we are really stupid, the three of us ,, instead of taking care of you we were playing around, mianhae appa, cheonmal mianhae" she whispered.

She just stood there watching him for an hour, her legs started to get sore.

"come and sit ,Yena , please" chaeyeong begged as she pulled her to sit down on the chair, she almost fall but chaeyeong grabbed her.

"wooshin went to buy food" she said as she sat down beside Yena.

"don't worry , your dad will be fine, its normal to go into coma after a hard surgery and coma isn't always long it could be for a day or two" she tried to comfort her.

"I know" she smiled.

"I know nothing would happen but its so hard to watch him lifeless like that, it breaks my heart" Yena said as she started to cry once again and chaeyeong hugged her and patted her back.

"don't cry, you seem like a kid, where is my strong Yena?" chaeyeong frowned at her as she cupped her face and started to wipe her tears.

"don't cry okay? " she asked as Yena half smiled with a nod.

"sorry we ruined the show for you guys" Yena said with an apologized look.

"what are you talking about stupid" chaeyeong flicked her forehead.

Wooshin came back with food for everyone.

They opened their food and started eating,

"aren't you going to eat ?" Wooshin asked.

"I am" she said as she opened her rice.

She frowned as she looked at hers then at the other's one .

"why does mine has bean in it?" she asked wooshin , confused because only hers had it while others didn't.

"so I can pick them out for you" he half smirked.

she started to laugh.

"oh my god " she mumbled as she tried to stop her laugh and shook her head.

"you are so stupid , you know?" she asked him.

"I am only stupid for you" he said ,flirtingly.

And her eyes widened and she started to blush.

She gulped.

"wooshin can you stop that?" she frowned.

"stop what?" he asked, acting like he didn't know.

"embarrassing me" she spat.

And he chuckled.

"I was only joking" he said as he sat beside her and started picking the beans out.

"now let me do what I promised to do" he smiled.

A smile crept into her mouth as she watched him.

'stupid 'she thought smiling since he could easily change their food instead of picking it one by one.

"I want to puke" minju gagged as she watched them.

And all of them started laughing , it was like yesterday's dinner time was repeating.

Yena blushed as she realized Minju watching all those.
