ROBIN'S POV

Never have I imagined to be in a pain like this,specially for the person who stole my friend. I wouldn't have battered an eye for you if it was not for her.

YOU SAID IT WAS OKAY!

OF COURSE YOU DID!

Though you are Iseul,you are not the Iseul I'm crying for. You stole her. And now you are dying? Give me a break!

I saw the Queen Iseul's legs being transforming into ash. She is vanishing slowly and painfully infront of me. And she is taking away her too.

Would I have known, I'd never do what I did! I'd never have agreed to it!

Iseul,you are not good. You are horrible. You can't leave like this.

[Few hours ago]

"Seriously! It's not been two hours since your brothers are gone!",Robin nagged Iseul who was staring out the window of her room silently. "You are not going, right? I mean,we can wait till your brothers are back?"

"Yes,that's an option but Nian wouldn't have chosen this hour if I could wait for my brothers. He wants me there without them"

"That's practically walking into their trap? They are literally asking you to come and get killed!", Robin freaked out.

"I know. But I can't wait here when Yeonjun needs my help to rescue Beomgyu. I have a debt to pay to them. A huge one. The least I can do is this"

Robin sighed as she plopped down on the bed. She was supposed to keep Iseul inside the mansion no matter what. She debated whether she should hit Iseul and make her unconscious. Apparently, few minutes ago,Iseul got a phone call from Yeonjun saying he needs her help to rescue Beomgyu. Nian had met Yeonjun and given him a chance to save Beomgyu. And Yeonjun literally asked Iseul to go and sacrifice herself to the devil to save his brother.

"Gyu is not the only one there"

Robin paused as she was about to grab a vas to hit Iseul, and looked back at Iseul. "What else did Yeonjun say?"

"Other Iseul had taken Linghe"

"Your boyfriend?"

"Hm. But I'm sure Linghe won't be harmed in anyway. If other Iseul is there,she would never let Nian harm him"

Robin scoffed, "Why would they even kidnap Linghe if it won't scare you?"

"Who said this doesn't scare me. If Linghe get to know the past,he will have a hard time choosing the Iseul he loves. Both of us are the same Iseul he loved. Who will he choose? Me,the Iseul with an unfamiliar face or the Iseul who has my face?"

"Anyone can tell what is she upto. She wants Linghe and your soul to herself. And Nian is using him and Beomgyu as  baits to make you fall into their so obvious trap because YOU DON'T HAVE A CHOICE NOW!"

Iseul closed her eyes feeling a heavy weight on her chest. She breathed out and opened her eyes,determined. "It's alright. All they need is me and both Linghe and Beomgyu would be safe. So,I don't have any problem regarding saving them..... The only regret is....," She looked at the family portrait near her bed side table. "I must come back,right?"

Iseul turned to Robin and smiled. "I need your help"

"Remind me to beat Yeonjun after all this. That damn fucker is too straightforward to tell you to walk into their trap"

Iseul chuckled. "Alright. I don't care even if you killed him after this. I'll make sure you'll be alive to beat him", she patted Robin's shoulder promising herself to protect Robin at all cost.

"Not only me,you too"

Iseul smiled and nodded. Robin pulled Iseul to a hug surprising her. Iseul hugged her back stroking her hair. "Are you scared,Robin?"

"Pfft,me? No way!hahaha"

"Yeah yeah"

"Why does that sound sarcastic?"

They pulled away and Robin gave a look to Iseul.

"Alright, I know you are brave. But don't worry. Nothing will happen to you"

Iseul waited outside the mansion. She was nervous thinking something went wrong but when she saw Robin walking towards her within the protective barrier,she heaved a sigh.

Iseul couldn't go out through the barrier because it prevented her from going out. But the barrier allowed Robin to freely go through it. Only people who are chosen are allowed to enter through the barrier.

Robin stood infront of her.

Iseul,"Is he there?"

Robin,"Yeah,I'm here,your highness"

Iseul heaved a sigh. It was Yeonjun who spoke from inside Robin's body. He had shifted his soul into Robin's body temporarily. It was a simple spell but needs a lot of spiritual energy so,it will be a lot of exhausting to the spell caster.

"Do I really have to keep this dude inside me? This perv touched me once!", Robin complained.

"I did not! It was a mistake!", Yeonjun spoke back.

It was like Robin was talking to herself and anyone would think Robin had gone mad.

Iseul let them bicker and looked back at the mansion. She felt her heart aching. She didn't want to give any more pain to them but she has to help Yeonjun and take back Linghe.

"This is my gamble", she mumbled with soft eyes. She faced Robin and spoke to Yeonjun. "Shift my soul"

Yeonjun nodded making Robin nod.

Yeonjun made a hand seal and casted a red spell. "Shift the soul!"

Iseul felt light headed for a moment and everything went black for a moment. Then she felt a big weight on her soul. When she opened her eyes,she was in Robin's body. At the moment, there were three people in Robin's body. Iseul, Yeonjun and the real owner Robin.

Iseul's mortal body fell down limply on the ground.

This method is totally different from soul merging and rebirth. Though the three had similar results, they are totally different. Rebirth means literally having their own mortal life again on the mortal world of humans. That person is an alive person after that.

Soul shifting is temporarily switching bodies with spiritual energy. If someone close the spiritual doors,then no one can switch into that body. Also it consumes a lot of energy. Once the spiritual energy is gone,you'll be switched back to your own body.

And soul merging is another different story. It forcefully merges with another soul and becomes one soul. When it happens, the stolen soul wouldn't be able to communicate with others just like Robin,Iseul and Yeonjun do. It becomes a dead soul inside the main soul user. He will be a part of the main user.

And what other Iseul is trying to do is none other than the soul merging. 

Iseul knows it.

Still,she has to take the risk.

Robin's body was teleported infront of an abandoned building inside a forest.

"Woah! That was dope! Dude!", Robin exclaimed.

"Robin,now is not that time. We need to stay silent", Iseul advised.

"Alright, I'm sorry. Was so excited. Hahaha"

Suddenly, Yeonjun got separated from Robin's body. "I have given a lot of spiritual energy to Robin's body. This will be enough for you two to stick together in one body for a day or two"

Iseul nodded as she headed inside the building by opening the broken door wooden door. The building was a bit larger than a normal house but sadly this was abandoned. As they entered inside, they were met with dense darkness. Everything was dark specially since it was still early in the morning. Maybe it has already past 2 in the morning.

Yeonjun lit a palm torch from spiritual energy.

"You are using too much spiritual energy. You'll be exhausted soon", Iseul warned.

"I'm alright",Yeonjun mumbled as he took a small glimpse at her. He looked away in guilt. I have brought you to your doom yet you are concern about me? If it was few months ago,I'd have no regrets at all but now....I don't know if I'm doing the right thing or not. Forgive me,you have to pay the price in this way so I can save my brother from your other self. And I want to say....

"It doesn't look like someone is here but let's head inside", Iseul said as she walked past Yeonjun.

"Hahaha this place is super creepy", Robin said.

Yeonjun followed Robin's body. As they were walking for some time,they saw a light coming from a room in the distance.

Yeonjun took the lead and walked towards the door before opening it.

A gasp left his parted lips.

Iseul and Robin also entered only to find Beomgyu tied up in a chair with spiritual bindings. Beomgyu was staring blankly at nothing with a dead expression. He looks dead. No emotion at all. So broken and hurt. Broken to the point he'll never be able to heal himself.

"Dude,it was this easy?", Robin mumbled in astonishment. Her suspension was correct. How was it this easy to find Beomgyu? It was as they wanted to give away Beomgyu immediately.

Yeonjun ran towards Beomgyu and cupped his face. "Gyu! Look at me! Can you recognise me?! I'm your brother!"

Beomgyu slowly looked at him and mumbled an almost unaudible word,"brother"

Yeonjun heaved a sighed. "Yes! It's me! Thank god you are okay! Did they hurt you anywhere?"

Beomgyu didn't answer him. It looks like he had no mindset to answer him. But he did say something, "again,she threw me away"

Yeonjun looked at him with sympathy in his eyes. "Oh gyu"

Iseul felt guilt striking her heart. She caused everything. Beomgyu is suffering because of her.

Strangely,Robin felt Iseul's emotions since they are in the same body. So she kept quiet knowing very well her mouth can't comfort someone.

Yeonjun broke the spiritual bindings easily but the moment he broke it,he coughed blood.

Iseul widened her eyes and caught Yeonjun who was about to fall back. "You have used so much spiritual energy!"

Yeonjun,"I'm alright"

Iseul sighed as Yeonjun went to bring Beomgyu. He made gyu stand up from the chair and supported him.

"Your highness, wait till I come back. I'll drop Beomgyu by my home and come back —"

"No need",Iseul interrupted him. "Your job is done here. Yeonjun, I know I can never pay off your debt but this is the best I can do. From now on,I hope to never see you two again. Our paths end here. Unless you want more revenge, of course you are free to cause havoc but I want to end our paths from here"

Yeonjun widened his eyes slightly. Is it over like this? Is it this easy to end the paths of people who are entangled in the same destiny? No,it has never been. Yeonjun and Beomgyu had walked too far in this destiny with Iseul. And finally, it has come to an end? Is this really true? Yeonjun was not sure.

"Yes dude. Just leave now. Us ladies will stick together, unless you think we need protection —obviously we need protection but we can handle ourselves perfectly fine",Robin said.

Yeonjun looked at Robin's face who was having Iseul's emotions right now. So,it is like this to end the paths of destiny.

"....alright"

Your highness,I just want to say,it is not your fault you turned out to be a villain. You were helpless too. But I can't bring myself to actually say this because my family and I suffered in your hands. And me and Beomgyu are still suffering. So,I hope your highness know it without me saying,you are not a bad person. I finally learnt to forgive you and let go of my past. To save my brother, you are sacrificing yourself. Thank you and I'm sorry.

Iseul watched Yeonjun taking Beomgyu away. They disappeared into the darkness.

The moonlight from the window illuminated the room.

"So Robin,it's finally you and me. Are you ready?"

"Yes,I'm ready"
