Chapter 8- Surprise Hang Out

Over the next week, Taehyung and Jimin had been planning their outfits. They already had bought everything they needed, but they planned their makeup and accessories. And to say the least, they were amazing. The way that the outfits complimented each other, and the two boys just looked flat out adorable.

It was currently Friday and Taehyung was sitting in class, daydreaming about random things. Miss Son was talking about their portrait drawing that was officially due in three  weeks. He still didn't know who he was going to draw. He was thinking about drawing Jimin because he saw him all the time, and he knew the older would agree. But on the other hand, his mind had floated to Jungkook. He would be lying if he didn't find the younger attractive, and he had an adorable smile. Yet, he also thought of drawing Bogum. He and Bogum had been trying to find a day for him to visit Tae, but he wasn't sure when that would be, and Taehyung didn't wanna plan on something that he wasn't sure would work out.

Taehyung was drawn from his thoughts when his phone buzzed. He had gotten a text from Jungkook. Taehyung knew Miss Son wouldn't care if he had his phone out because he was ahead of the class.

*Texting Conversation*

*reality*

Taehyung put his phone back in his hoodie pocket and paid attention to what was going on in class.

After his class was over, he packed his things and started to head out of the classroom, but was stopped by Mina calling him.

"Hey Tae, what's the rush? Can't even walk out of the classroom with me?" Mina chuckled and slung her bag over her shoulder. Taehyung stopped walking and turned to Mina.

"Sorry, Jungkook is waiting for me". Mina raised her eyebrow.

"Jungkook? You've really been spending a lot of time with him lately." Mina walked towards Taehyung and crossed her arms. "You should really be careful around him, Tae. He could get you into trouble." Taehyung was a bit shocked by Mina's statement. Jungkook was always really nice, he couldn't see what she meant by that.

"I'll be fine, Mina. But I should really get going" Taehyung turned and started walking down the hallway.

"Don't do anything you'll regret Taehyung!" Mina yelled called to him. He brushed it off and made his way out of the building.

He opened the doors and walked down the steps slowly, looking for Jungkook. He didn't see the boy anywhere, so he walked down the paved pathway a little bit to look for him some more. But just a few seconds later, he felt a pair of arms wrap around him and pick him up, twirling him slightly. He was set down, and his eyes were covered by a pair of large hands.

"Guess who?" The 'misterious' person snickered slightly. Taehyung could tell it was Jungkook, but he wanted to tease him a bit.

"Is it Jimin?"

"Nope" Jungkook chuckled.

"Hmm, how about... Yoongi?"

"Not even close" Jungkook chuckled again.

"Is it that cute guy from down the hall? What's his name.... Minho?" Taehyung giggled when Jungkook removed his hands and tickled his sides.

"Yah! I'm cuter that him!" Jungkook stopped and pouted. Taehyung turned to him and patted his head.

"Awe, Jungkook's being a pouty baby. Do I need to get you some banana milk and a pacifier and sing you to sleep?" Taehyung mocked Jungkook's pout. He found it fun to tease the younger, even though others found him frightening. Jungkook stopped pouting and looked at Taehyung seriously.

"Are you sure about that?" He leaned close to Taehyung's face and started him in the eyes. Taehyung blushed and played with the hem of his shirt.

"W-What if I was?" Taehyung gulped and Jungkook smiled.

"I'm kidding! But I'd have to say, you're cute when you're flustered like that" Jungkook laughed and put his arm around Tae's shoulders.

"Whatever" Taehyung rolled his eyes and smiled. "Now, what are we going to do?" He just followed Jungkook while he walked.

"You'll just have to wait and see." Jungkook was taking Taehyung to one of the parks near by their college, but he didn't wanna tell him.

The two walked until they got to the parking lot across the street. Jungkook walked Taehyung over to a parking space and stopped.

"Alright Tae, hop on" Jungkook took the keys out of his pocket and took a seat on the red motorcycle, and placed a helmet on his head.

"On that! Are you nuts?" Taehyung didn't expect to be taken somewhere on a motorcycle.

"Maybe just a bit" Jungkook chuckled. He handed Taehyung a helmet. "Put this on and sit behind me." Although Taehyung was skeptical, he slid on the helmet and sat behind Jungkook.

"Where do I hold on?" Taehyung asked with a quiet and questioning tone. Jungkook laughed at the innocent question.

"Right here" Jungkook turned slightly and grabbed Taehyung's hands. He wrapped the older boy's arms around his torso tightly.

"O-oh ok" Taehyung took a deep breath. He wasn't prepared for the skinship with the younger. And the fact that he even initiated it. But Taehyung really didn't mind. He felt safe holding Jungkook. He trusted him, and was sure he wouldn't do anything to hurt him.

"You alright?" Jungkook asked as he started his bike, revving the engine loudly. He could hear a small 'yes' from the older boy. "Ok Tae, hold on tight." Jungkook kicked up the kickstand and walked the bike backwards slightly, before driving off.

Taehyung was only a bit scared. He had never been on a motorcycle before, and he was nervous. He knew the chances of getting into an accident, were higher on a motorcycle. But he did trust Jungkook. He may have only known him for a couple weeks, but he felt he had known him for a while. He didn't even question what Mina had said. Why was she so worried about him hanging out with Jungkook? He was a big boy, he could handle himself.

After about 10 minutes of Jungkook driving, the two boys showed up at a large park. There was a large glistening fountain, tons of enormous trees, and even a small play area for kids.

"Woah, this place is really nice" Taehyung took off the helmet and handed it to Jungkook. He walked slightly in front of Jungkook's bike and stared at the scenery.

"I know right, I could spend hours here everyday" Jungkook smiled as he looked around him. Jungkook wasn't a very outdoorsy person, but he did appreciate the beautiful sight in front of him, oh, and the park too.

As soon as Jungkook set the two helmets in the side compartment of his bike, he lead Taehyung to a bench right near the fountain. The two casually talked to each other about life. Taehyung caught that Jungkook mentioned his favorite sweet treat was cupcakes. So he noted that mentally, and would make sure he would make him some.

"Did you hear about the Halloween party that's gonna be on campus?" Jungkook turned his head sightly to face the older.

"Yeah I did, Jimin and I already have costumes for it" Taehyung looked at the younger. He was hoping that Jungkook would also go to the party, and they could hang out.

"You do? I'm not even sure if I'm gonna go." Jungkook was lying. He was going to go, but he just wanted to see what how Taehyung would react. He was curious to see if the older would try and get him to go to the party.

"Awe really? You should come, I'm sure it'll be fun" Taehyung hoped that Jungkook would go. He wanted to experience 'party Jungkook'. Even though he would be in a dress, he knew that he was going to get weird looks from people, but Jungkook would keep him distracted from the judging stares.

"I don't know Tae, I don't know how everyone would feel about me going. Everyone thinks I'm this bad boy and an asshole. And it doesn't help my cause that I get into fights from time to time." Jungkook chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Then you can just hang out with me. Because I think if Yoongi and Jimin's date goes well, they'll go together." Taehyung smiled slightly. Partly because he was sure he was going to convince Jungkook to go to the party, and because of how nice the weather was. There was a warm breeze blowing every so often. Luckily enough, he was wearing a sweater, just in case it started to get a bit cold.

"Are you sure? I mean, I don't want to intrude on your partying." Jungkook chuckled as Taehyung rolled his eyes.

"You're like the only person on campus that I talk to, well, other than Jimin." Jungkook raised an eyebrow. There was no way that he was the only person he ever really talked to. He was such a nice person, it wasn't hard to talk to him either.

"You're joking, right?" Taehyung shook his head "how am I the only person that you talk to? You don't talk to other people? What about Mina?"

"Well I do, but I meant like, hanging out with you. I only really hang out with you, well, whenever really." Taehyung paused before talking. "But speaking of Mina, she said something to me today, that you should probably know." Jungkook raised his eyebrow.

"Is everything okay?" Jungkook had an idea of what it was about. Taehyung nodded his head.

"Yeah, everything's fine. But she just told me to be careful around you. And she said for me not to do anything I'll regret." Jungkook nodded his head, showing that he understood what Tae meant. "I don't get why she said that though. I'm clearly happy when I'm with you, why does she have to say things like that? Like, I can be friends with whoever I want, right?" Jungkook nodded again.

"I don't know Tae, maybe she sees me as a dangerous person. I wouldn't know why. I mean, you know I'm not like that, right?" He questioned Taehyung.

"Yeah, don't worry. I don't think you're a 'bad influence' on me" Taehyung made air quotes around the words to add that he was being sarcastic "I like hanging out with you, and I trust you, so please don't worry about it. I'm going to make my own decisions about life. If she has a problem, then whatever. Not once have you given me a problem, so I don't really care." Jungkook smiled at Taehyung. He was glad the older trusted him, and liked hanging out with him. He enjoyed Taehyung's company, so why should he stop hanging out with him if some girl is worried about it. He just hoped that Tae would keep that mentality, and not care what Mina said.

"Tae, I'm not going to get you into trouble or make you do things you don't want to. People just think I'm a bad person because of how I act. Some things happened a couple years back, and I don't show my emotions much. It's a safety thing" Jungkook shrugged slightly.

"Oh no, I totally understand, I'm the same way. It takes me a little while to warm up to some people. But you and Jimin weren't really the case. I just felt comfortable with the both of you" Taehyung smiled and Jungkook smiled back.

The two boys sat in silence for a few moments. Suddenly, rain started to slowly fall from the sky.

"Awe man!" Taehyung looked up at the sky. Jungkook jumped up quickly and grabbed Taehyung's hand.

"Come on Tae! Let's get back to the dorms" Taehyung got up and the two ran to Jungkook's motorcycle. After they quickly put on their helmets, Jungkook drove fast, but very carefully, back to their dorms.

As they pulled up to the building, the rain had gotten heavier, and dark clouds had started to form in the sky. Jungkook had to make sure that his bike was covered completely, before he could go inside. He pulled out the tarp and covered the motorcycle, while Taehyung was still standing there watching.

"Tae! Go inside, you'll get sick" Jungkook called as he flipped the tarp over the bike.

"Are you sure?" Taehyung wrapped his arms around his small frame tightly.

"Of course! Go get some dry clothes on and I'll come over to your room when I change, okay?" Taehyung just nodded and hurried inside. He felt bad for letting Jungkook out in the rain, but Jungkook was right, he would get sick if he stayed outside for too long.

He rushed to his room and immediately changed into a pair of fluffy pajamas and fluffy socks. He grabbed a towel and dried his hair messily. The next thing he did was check his backpack. He wanted to check on his art supplies. Tae hoped that his books hadn't gotten ruined. He several drawing books he had was a lot of money, and he didn't wanna replace them. Luckily, when he pulled them out, they were completely dry. He placed his books on his desk and grabbed his laptop. He connected it to his speaker and turned on music to drown out the sound of the now pouring rain. As much as he hated to admit it, Taehyung absolutely hated storms. The thunder and lightning always frightened him. But now, he would need to be stronger than before. He hated the thought of embarrassing himself in front of Jungkook, for something as silly as a fear of thunder.

As he hit the play button on the playlist on his laptop, one of his favorite songs started to play. He couldn't help but dance around a little. He swayed his hips to the beat and jumped around slightly, to keep his focus off of the brewing storm. But the downfall... was Taehyung didn't notice that Jungkook walked in. He was mid note when he turned around while he danced, when he noticed Jungkook. The younger male was wearing a pair of red plaid pajama pants with a tight fitting black shirt, that showed his muscles flawlessly. There was a bag in his hand and a large black blanket draped over his shoulder. His hair was slightly damp, and stuck to his forehead. Taehyung stopped as soon as he saw him. He could FEEL his face getting red.

"I brought some chocolate" Jungkook smiled and held up the bag of sweet treats. Taehyung was frozen. He couldn't believe he was caught dancing around in his pajamas. Jungkook just set the bag and his blanket down on Taehyung's bed.

Tae quickly turned off his music and closed his laptop.

"Oh you can keep playing the music, I don't mind." Jungkook smiled and sat on Taehyung's bed.

"O-okay" Taehyung was quite thankful Jungkook said he could continue playing his music. The rain was pounding on the window even harder than before. He opened his laptop and hit the play button once again. He sat down on his bed a few inches away from Jungkook.

"So Tae, what now?" Jungkook turned to the older.

"I dunno, we could just talk about stuff? Or... yeah I have no clue" Taehyung glanced out the window, watching the rain fall powerfully from the sky. He sighed at the sight. Jungkook stood up and started looking around the room. He looked at the pictures Taehyung had around his side of the room. But when a certain picture caught his eye, he picked it up to examine it more carefully.

"Tae, is this your boyfriend?" Jungkook turned the picture to show Taehyung. It was the picture of Bogum and him at the Pride parade. And yes, the one where he was wearing a skirt.

"No! That's my best friend Bogum! We were at a pride parade back near my home" Jungkook smiled in his head. Knowing Taehyung wasn't dating him, gave him a better chance of eventually asking him out.

"Ah, so no boyfriend?" Jungkook chuckled.

"No way man, people haven't ever been I interested in me. Like, ever." Taehyung smiled slightly. "What about you? Have a girlfriend?"
Jungkook started laughing. And I mean hard, like doubling over laughing.

"Hell no! I'm into guys. Not about the whole, you know... girl thing" Taehyung's jaw dropped. He was certain Jungkook was straight.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't know!" Taehyung covered his face with his hands and shook his head slightly.

"Hey, it's totally fine Tae." Jungkook walked over to Taehyung. "And it's not like you can tell, don't be sorry" Jungkook stood in front of Taehyung and moved his hands from his face. When Taehyung looked up at him, he smiled.

Jungkook was still holding onto Taehyung's hands when all of a sudden a large crack of thunder boomed. Subconsciously, Taehyung flinched noticeably. He recovered from the shock, but only seconds later, another crack of lightning flashed, and thunder making a loud booming sound. Being frightened, Taehyung jumped into Jungkook's arms, not realizing what he was really doing. But Jungkook didn't even question it. He simply wrapped his arms around the older, trying to comfort him.

As soon as Taehyung realized what was happening, he started to pull away from Jungkook.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry. I just got scared and my fear took over. I didn't me-" Taehyung was cut off by Jungkook.

"Tae, it's completely fine. I understand." Jungkook let go of Taehyung. "But if you want... we could just lay on your bed together, and if you get scared, you could just, uh, hold onto me again" Jungkook moved his hand to the back of his neck, and he blushed slightly.

"No, I'm fine, I don't wanna make you uncomfortable" Taehyung shook his head, but once again, thunder crashed again, and Taehyung clung to Jungkook. Jungkook just wrapped his arms around Taehyung, and picked him up. He walked over to the his bed and laid him down. He moved the bag of chocolate over and sat next to him, and threw his black blanket over the both of them. The two were laying side by side, and Tae was holding onto Jungkook's arm tightly. Taehyung knew there was no going back. He couldn't play off his fear, so he was thankful that Jungkook would let him be a wussy for a bit.

With the next boom of thunder, Taehyung jumped and his grip on Jungkook got tighter. He started shaking slightly out of fear.

"Tae, let go of my arm for a sec" Jungkook wiggles his arm slightly and Taehyung let go. Jungkook turned slightly and grabbed Taehyung by his side and pulled him closer to his body. Jungkook wrapped his arm around Taehyung's small body and held him close. Tae's face was now at Jungkook's chest, and his arms were bunched up is his own chest. "Tae, are you alright?" Jungkook looked down at the boy curled into his side.

"Y-Yeah" Taehyung nodded slightly.

"Don't be shy, Tae" Jungkook chuckled and rubbed the elder's back.

"I'm n-not. I'm ju-" Tae was cut off by another crack of thunder, this one being extremely loud. It made Taehyung so scared that he started shaking violently from his nerves. Jungkook could feel Taehyung's heart beat picking up. He turned his body so he was laying on his side facing Taehyung. He wrapped both of his arms around Taehyung, bringing him even closer to his body.

"Just breathe Tae, I've got you." Jungkook could feel Taehyung grip his shirt tightly. He placed his chin on the elders head and held him close. All he could do now was hold him to make him feel safe during the storm.
