Chapter 46- Graduation Day
Three long years of college, and today was the day. Taehyung, Jimin, Yoongi, and Jungkook were all graduating. They had all been through so much in their four years of schooling.
Jimin and Yoongi were still together, and so were Taehyung and Jungkook. The two couples went through their tough times, but were still madly in love with each other.
Taehyung and Jungkook decided to move in together in Jungkook's house. They figured it would help keep their tuition cost go down, for the most part anyways.
The four males were currently getting ready for graduation at Jungkook's house. They had a celebratory dinner the night before, and all spent the night at Jungkook and Taehyung's.
"Kookie, Baby did you see my face primer anywhere?" Tae asked from their bathroom.
Jungkook chuckled as he heard the drawers open and close.
"Look in the top left drawer, I think I put it in there yesterday" the younger called out as he got dressed. He heard a small "yes" of victory when Tae found what he was looking for. "Find it, Baby Doll?" He asked.
"Yup! Thanks, Babe!" Tae called and started washing his face to start his makeup.
"I still don't understand why you're putting makeup on. You look beautiful without it" Jungkook commented.
"You know I like doing my makeup, even though it's unnecessary" Tae giggled.
"Yeah yeah, I guess" Jungkook chuckled. "But the important thing, is that you don't hide your insecurities. And that's why I know you love it so much, because you don't do it for that reason, only to have some fun before events."
"Exactly!" Taehyung cheered.
Taehyung and Jungkook finished up, and went downstairs. Jimin was sitting on the couch, playing on his phone, while Yoongi was no where to be found.
"Hey Minnie, where Yoongs?" Jungkook asked.
"I think he's still in the guest room. I'm pretty sure he's still getting changed" Jimin stated.
"Ah, alright" Jungkook nodded.
The three were talking about random things, when Yoongi finally showed up to the convo.
"Sorry, I may or may not have slept longer than I should have..." Yoongi trailed off with a chuckle.
"That's fine, we still have an hour before we need to show up" Taehyung said and shrugged. "But Mama should be here in about a half an hour. She wants to take pictures of us all" Taehyung explained.
The summer after their first year, Taehyung invited Yoongi and Jimin to a small party at his house. Tae liked to have all of his friends together at least once throughout the summer, and a fire pit night seemed to do the trick.
Seulgi immediately was very fond of Yoongi and Jimin. She thought the two were an adorable couple, and better yet, great friends for Taehyung.
The four waited for the half an hour for Seulgi to show up. They all put their formal clothes on, and their cap and gowns. Tae had to help because the other three couldn't pin their caps on correctly.
When Seulgi showed up at Jungkook's house, everyone piled into her car, excited for their graduation.
"Ready to go boys?" She asked as she checked her mirrors.
They all said "yes" in unison, so Mrs. Kim started to drive off to the location of the event.
Twenty minutes later they arrived at the venue. Everyone got out and walked into the building. Seulgi left them to find her seat, as he boys found four chairs together where all of the other students were.
"This is insane" Taehyung breathed out. "I can't believe it's been four years" he sighed.
"I know right, it still feels like yesterday when you scared me in the dorm" Jimin laughed, recalling when he was frightened by Taehyung sitting on his bed the day he moved in.
"And I remember when Yoongi manned up and asked Jimin out" Jungkook laughed. Yoongi only rolled his eyes and held Jimin's hand, not wanting to deal with the younger's teasing.
Soon enough the head of administration started by thanking everyone for showing, and explained the process of what was going to happen.
Then some random student that had been chosen prior, went on stage and started their speech about how hard everyone worked and things of such.
Taehyung couldn't pay attention, his mind was fogged. His mind was traveling back to all of the crazy events that had happened to him in the past four years. Going to college. Loosing a best friend. Falling in love with someone. Making new friends that he could always count on. And finally graduating.
The only thing that he could recall was Jungkook's thumb rubbing his hand the entire time.
"You alright, baby doll?" Jungkook whispered to Taehyung, noticing his boyfriend zoning out.
"Mmhmm, just thinking about stuff" Tae whispered back and gave the younger a small smile.
Jungkook just nodded back, and started paying attention to what was happening on stage.
...
Four hours later and they were finally free. The boys found Seulgi. The poor woman was in tears, all happy of course, but she couldn't stop. She was so proud of her son and her his friends for graduating.
Seulgi drove the boys back to Jungkook's house and said her goodbyes.
Jimin and Yoongi left to go to the apartment they were sharing.
Jungkook and Taehyung were cuddling on the couch in silence. Just letting everything sink in.
"Hey Baby?" Jungkook asked, breaking the silence.
"Hmm?" Taehyung hummed.
"I've been thinking about something lately" Jungkook stated. "I wanna take you somewhere very important to me, and I think today would be a good day to do it. Would you be willing to go visit the place today?"
"Yeah! Of course! We can go now if you want" Taehyung said excitedly.
"Lets get out things together then."
The two put on their hoodies and shoes. Jungkook grabbed his keys and wallet, and they were on their way.
...
"Why are we at a flower shop?" Taehyung asked.
"It's a rule that whenever you show up, you need to bring flowers" Jungkook said as they entered the store.
They picked out flowers, purchased them, and were back on the road.
Within ten minutes, they arrived at the place Jungkook had spoke about.
"Follow me, baby" Jungkook spoke and handed Tae the flowers. Jungkook held Taehyung's other hand and guided him down a path of stones.
With a small walk, they finally arrived at large Cherry Blossom with a small stone in front of it.
"Taehyung, I want you to meet my mother" Jungkook said softly. "Mom, this is Taehyung"
Taehyung looked up at Jungkook with wide eyes, not realizing that's why they were here. Jungkook just smiled softly and nodded, as if telling the elder it was alright to talk to her.
"I-I... Hello Mrs. Jeon. It's lovely to meet you. You raised an amazing son, I love him with my entire being" Taehyung started. "He's such a strong human, I don't know how he does it. Jungkook's been through a lot after you left, but I'm making sure I'll look after him for you" Tae smiled softly.
"Mom, I'm sure you would have loved Tae. He's the kindest, most gentle person I've ever met in my life. He's shown me so many things that I was blind to before. One of those being able to love someone. I was afraid of loosing him like I did you" Jungkook sniffled.
Taehyung looked up at Jungkook and wiped his tears.
"I love you, Jungkook" Taehyung whispered.
"I love you too, Taehyung" Jungkook cried and hugged his boyfriend.
The two sat down together and cried softly in each other's arms. They laughed together, and talked to Jungkook's mom more before leaving her favorite flowers and saying goodbye once more.
Taehyung and Jungkook wandered around together, walking around the park, finding a bench to sit at overlooking a lake.
They sat in each other's arms, loving their company. As they sat in peace, there was a soft wind picking up, blowing cherry blossom leaves over the couple.
Jungkook smiled at the leaves, knowing it was his mother telling him everything would be alright. That she approved of Taehyung. And that she loved them both.
~The End~
