Chapter 45- The Truth

A couple days later, Taehyung was sitting in class, working on an assignment. Miss Son held "Open Mind Wednesdays" where she let her students just be creative, whether it be drawing, or even writing. She didn't mind at all, she preferred that her students could have freedom.

Tae was just sketching some random picture when he caught Mina staring at him. The female now had bright green hair, and wore simple jeans and a hoodie.

"What's up Mina?" Tae asked, slightly confused as to why his friend was looking at him.

"Nothing much... you just seem a lot happier than you did a couple weeks before. You seem more in your element of creativity" she chuckled.

"Yeah, Jungkook and I finally talked everything out. He's been doing better lately" Tae smiled.

"I still can't believe you're still with that jerk. You deserve better" Mina sighed.

"You know, he takes very good care of me" Tae stated. "And you've still never told me why you hate him so much."

"You really wanna know?" She asked.

"Yes, I would like to know why."

"Long story short, my twin brother was apart of Jungkook's friend group in high school. They always would go to that stupid shipping yard after school and mess around and just do dumb shit" she explained. "But one day, they were planning on setting off a bunch of fire works that one of them got from their family. Eventually they did it, but they got caught because my brother ratted them out. And let's just say, when they found out, the entire group jumped him and beat him up. Hoshi couldn't walk for an entire week" she sighed. "I've always despised him because he always wears the ring that he gashed my brothers face with. He has permanent scars now" She stated.

Taehyung was absolutely shocked. He couldn't fathom the thought of Jungkook hurting someone that badly. Sure, Jungkook could pack a punch, but hurting someone like that.

"Oh... I don't even know what to say" Taehyung said with a small frown.

"Well, now you know why I can't stand Jungkook. He beat up my brother for no good reason. I just think he's an asshole" Mina shrugged.

"Hmm, I guess that's a decent reason" Taehyung nodded softly. "I'm going to talk to him about it tonight."

"You really don't need to, I'm not going to hate you because of him. I just have reasons for my feelings, and I don't think they're going to change" Mina shrugged. Taehyung nodded, now understanding why she doesn't like Jungkook.

...

"Kooks, I'm back!" Taehyung stated as he walked into the younger's home.

"I'm in the living room!" Jungkook yelled to the elder.

Taehyung kicked off his shoes and set his bag on the floor. He walked to where his boyfriend was, eager to ask him what really happened those couple of years ago.

"Hey Baby Doll, how was your day?" Jungkook smiled as Tae sat down next to him.

"It was alright" Tae sighed. "But there's something I wanna talk to you about" Taehyung said and looked Jungkook in the eyes. The younger immediately gave the elder a concerned look. "It's nothing bad! I promise!" The elder reassured.

"Okay" Jungkook chuckled. "Just making sure."

"Did you know a boy named Hoshi in high school?" Taehyung asked.

"Mmhmm, him and I were friends" Jungkook nodded.

"Can you tell me more about your relationship?" Tae asked.

"Of course I can" Jungkook smiled. "Let's see here... we became friends when we were about when I was like twelve or something. Honestly I don't quite remember. But that's not important" Jungkook chuckled. "He always came with me and the guys to the shipping yard all the time. And he was always a cool guy" Jungkook shrugged.

"Did anything ever go wrong? Did you ever get into any fights?" Tae asked.

"Yeah, actually something did happen. We stopped being friends because he ratted us out for setting off fireworks in the shipping yard. He was mad at us for skipping some dumb party to visit my mom. We had already planned to surprise her at the hospital before Hoshi even mentioned the party" Jungkook sighed. "When we confronted him about it, he said a really disgusting thing about my mom, so I punched him in the face. The others were pissed too, so they hit him once or twice. He had no business saying what he said, and he payed for it" Jungkook shrugged.

"Do you mind me asking what he said to you?" Tae asked softly.

"He said that we wasted our time going to visit her, because she was going to die anyways" Jungkook whispered, his body shaking slightly out of discomfort and anger.

"Oh my god, that's terrible" Tae gasped. "I don't care what Mina said, he deserved to get punched in the face."

"Mina? What does she have anything to do with this?" Jungkook asked, confused as to why she was brought up.

"I asked her why she hated you so much, and she told me it's because you beat up her twin brother. She said that he has permanent scarring now because of the ring that gashed his face when you hit him" Taehyung explained.

"Mina has no place to say anything. She was just as much of an asshole about it. And she was always mad that I hung out with Hoshi more than her, which was literally never, so she can piss off" Jungkook scoffed. "And I know Hoshi ratted on us because he used to like me. He just wanted my attention because I was so focused on my mom, I didn't hang out with him as much, and I kept to myself" Jungkook shrugged. "And the only reason I wear this ring, is because my mom got it for me. I had to get it resized a couple times, but it's not because I'm proud of hitting him. It's because this was a gift to me from my mother."

"Oh damn, that's absolutely horrible. I'm so sorry that you had to deal with that... especially as young as you were." Taehyung sighed and cuddled into Jungkook's side.

"Yeah, well I've been through a lot" The younger shrugged.

"But that doesn't justify anything. That's was really fucked" Taehyung pouted. He really liked Mina, but he trusted Jungkook's words more than hers.

"Like I said, she has no place to say anything, so I'm just ignoring what she says. I could care less of what she says" Jungkook stated.

"I mean, I guess" Taehyung shrugged.

"Don't worry about it, Love" Jungkook whispered. "That's all in the past, and I prefer to not worry about it."

"Whatever you say, Kooks" Tae agreed and laid his head onto Jungkook's chest.

The two cuddled until they decided to go out for dinner and spend time with each other after a crazy week.

...

Three days later, Jungkook was at work, doing a tattoo on some random college student. It took him about an hour to finish the tattoo, leaving his customer very satisfied.

When his customer paid and left, he went back to his room to clean, wanting to have the ability to clear his head a bit.

The fact that Taehyung asked about Hoshi, hasn't left his head. In fact, it bothered him so much, that he decided to call one of his old friends.

"Yo what's up Jeon!" The male on the other line yelled.

"Nothing much, how've you been Jaemin?" Jungkook asked and sat down on one of his reclining chairs.

"Living life I guess. Who knew it would suck this much dick" Jaemin laughed. "But I know you wouldn't call me for no damn reason, what's up my dude?"

"Well... my boyfriend asked me about what happened to my friendship with Hoshi..." Jungkook trailed.

"Oh how you beat that fuckers face for saying that shit about Mama Jeon? Asshole deserved a knife down his ball sack" Jaemin cursed.

"Yeah, yeah. But you do remember what he said right? And we definitely were not in the wrong?" Jungkook asked, wanting to make sure he could correctly remember what actually happened.

"Yeah, you were in the right. I personally think you shoulda done more than punch him once... but I respect the fact that you didn't fight someone weaker than you" Jaemin stated. "Well, even though it wasn't really a fight, you beat his ass in one punch."

"I get that. But I just wanted to make sure that I didn't do anything wrong. For some reason I was having second thoughts on it" Jungkook sighed.

"The only thing wrong you did, was not beat that piece of shit up more. And I think the boys would agree" Jaemin spat.

"Ugh I guess you're right. But I gotta go now, thanks dickhead" Jungkook thanked.

"No problem, cock sucker. Talk to ya sometime in the future" Jaemin said and hung up.

"Well, fuck" Jungkook breathed out and rubbed his face with his hands. He laid back on the recliner and started to think about everything that happened all those years ago.

...

Namjoon was causally cleaning the front of the store when he started to hear snores. He was confused at first, but a couple seconds later, he realized who was sleeping.

"Jungkook? You feel asleep again" The elder stated as he walked back to Jungkook's tattooing room.

He smiled softly at the younger sound asleep. Namjoon didn't have the heat to wake him, so he called Taehyung. Informing the male that his boyfriend was sound asleep.

Taehyung showed up within ten minutes after receiving a call from Namjoon he wanted to take the opportunity to see Jungkook at work, even if he was asleep.

"Awe he's so cute" Taehyung gushed when he walked into the room.

"I know, he's such a little baby" Namjoon chuckled.

"I'm not sure how I got so lucky with him" Taehyung sighed lovingly, staring at his boyfriend who's asleep.

"I just don't know how someone as kind as you are walked into his life. He really really needed you, Tae" Namjoon explained.

"I never realized how much I needed someone like him until he opened up to me... I love him with my entire being" Taehyung whispered.

"I know you do, and he feels the same way about you" Namjoon smiled and patted Tae's shoulder. "Take as long as you need with him, I'm leaving in about twenty minutes. I'll close up shop first so you two don't have to worry about anything."

"Thanks Joon" Tae smiled as the elder walked away.

Taehyung walked over to Jungkook and ran his hands through his hair softly.

"Jungkookie, time to go home" Tae whispered.

"But I am home" the younger mumbled.

"No, honey, you're at the shop. We need to go home" Tae giggled.

"But anywhere you are, is home. And you're here right now, so I'm home" The younger whispered and sleepily pulled Tae onto his lap.

"Baby you're cute" Taehyung smiled.

"Mmmm tired, TaeTae" Jungkook whined softly.

"I know, Bun" Tae whispered. "Wanna stay an nap for a little?"

"Please?" Jungkook asked sleepily.

"We can, baby" Tae giggled and leaned onto his boyfriend.

"Thanks, Lovie" Jungkook slurred before he fell right off to sleep again.

Taehyung just accepted that he was going to take a nap with Jungkook. And he was completely fine with that.

The two slept together in one chair, taking the time to cuddle and love each other.

...

Heya lovies, hope you liked the chapter! Now you know why Mina dislikes Kook so much, but oh well. Bitches be crazy lmao.

I added fluff cause I didn't know what else to add, so I hope that filled the chapter more lmao.

And I'm going to attempt to put up the last chapter today. Will it happen 100%? I'm not sure. I've got a couple things to do first before I can just sit around and write, sooooo we will see.

Thanks again for being patient with me and my craziness.

Love ya Sugars!

Stay healthy!!💜💜💜💜
