『The Disaster』Part Two - Florida x Reader

((Sorry for breaking your feels. This part should be better than the last.))

A girl with blonde colored hair and angry narrowed eyes peers down at you, slapping you across the cheek. You screech, bolting up from wherever you where. You were sleeping on a brown leather couch, on a huge house. A glimpse of sunlight shines in through the crack of an open window, blinding your eyes.

"What the heck, bro?" You screech, running from the woman who had slapped you. She just huffs and places her hands on her hips. How did you get here? The last thing in your fuzzy memory was passing out on the boat.

It was obvious that the girl was hiding fear under her anger. Before she can attack you again, Alfred comes rushing out and stands in front of you protectively. "Chill, sis! She's just here because she passed out yesterday on our tour. Besides, you don't see me complaining whenever Francis has the mood to sneak into the house-." Alfred argues to the person who must've been his sister.

She nods, still crossing her arms. "I can't control Francis. He just visits when he likes to, whether I like it or not." As she glances over to a closed bedroom door, it was easy to see what she was worried about.

Alfred tilts his heads. "Anyways- you want me to drive you home?" He offers, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. You nod slowly.

Alfred reaches to grab his car keys, only to freeze when his sister speaks again. "Alfred... Do you know where Chris went? He didn't come home last night with you." The girl "states," as she looks at her brother with concern. Alfred's eyes widen

You decide to interrupt before anything gets bad. Things were already bad enough. "I'm sorry- was Chris your boyfriend?" You ask as Alfred bursts into loud laughter, clutching his stomach. The girl's eyes widen and her cheeks go bright red.

"N-no! It's not like that at all! I mean I- No. Chris is my little brother. And North, it's not funny." She retorts at Alfred, her hand dangerously close to slapping him. Your lips curve into a small frown, seeing as the girl must've cared much for her brother. Although, what did she mean when she called her brother North? Maybe that was another name for him?

Alfred sends her some sort of weird glance and points to you. The girl nods in understanding, and then looks to you. You just awkwardly stand there, sheepishly smiling and rubbing the back of your neck.

"Alfred F. Jones, what happened to Chris? Your little friend here seems to know, so why don't I go and ask-." Alfred interrupts his sister with a yelp. She just stares at him angrily. The two of you were very quiet, and his sister began to pick up on it in less than a minute.

You could almost feel the tension in the air now. "What happened to him?" She asks once again, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. You and Alfred exchange a nervous glance, hesitating. How in the world could he look his own sister in the eye and tell her that their brother was dead?

So, instead of leaving it on Alfred, you decide to take the blame. "We got caught in a storm last night. I jumped in the waters, and I would've been dead if it weren't for him. He saved me and pulled me back up onto the boat. But..." You trail off, biting your lip at the memory. "He lost his grip when the waves crashed against the side of the boat and he..." You stutter, holding your head down in shame. The girl's eyes were narrowed and tears begin to roll down her cheeks. Even Alfred's face was red with embarrassment and shame that he didn't go back to save Chris.

However, she soon begins to figure out that it wasn't your fault that he was stranded. "Alfred... He's your damn brother, why didn't you stay and wait for him?" She yells, hissing slightly, as Alfred shakes his head.

The whole room grew silent again. You look over to Alfred, who was just teeming with sadness and shame. A ringing sound suddenly screeches from their house phone, disturbing this already awkward moment. Alfred lifts it up, and places it on his hear.

"Yo, this is Alfred F Jo-." Alfred was apparently cut off by loud yelling on the other side, as he raises his eyebrows. "Cuba, bro? What are you talking about-? I didn't exchange anything to you! Yeah, wait what do you mean I tried giving you one of my states? I didn't give you- ugh. Goodbye."

Alfred frowns and furrows his eyebrows. "Cuba's telling me he found something on his shore. He keeps calling me a complete idiot and won't explain what it is. I gotta go check it out. Y/N, you gotta come with me!" He suggests as you shyly nod your head.

The girl just sighs and nods, her face puffy with tears. Alfred opens the door for you, and the two of you head out, seeing what this strange man was talking about.

Honestly, you were clueless to what was happening.

[Time skip]

Alfred knocks on a door of a huge house, that was right besides the beach. You stand behind him shyly, holding your hands behind your back. After a few quiet minutes, the door finally opens to greet a tall, dark skinned man, with dreadlocks hanging over his shoulders.

One thing that was easy to notice? He didn't look happy.

At all.

"I thought you told me that our trading borders were closed? But then you show up and start trying to sell me stuff again!" The man, whom you assumed to be Cuba, angrily exclaims, throwing his hands up. Alfred raises his eyebrow in complete confusion.

His jaw hangs wide open for a moment, holding one finger in the air in defense. "I didn't try to sell you anything?" Alfred argues back in a questioning tone.

Cuba just opens his door angrily and points to a figure lying on the couch. "Then what's this?" He retorts as you silently follow Alfred into the room. On the couch was something you'd never thought you would see again.

It was Chris!

"Chris!" You exclaim joyfully, brushing past Alfred and hugging the boy. He didn't move however. Chris was very pale, though as you released him from your hug, you realize that his chest was rising and falling very slowly. His dark caramel hair was sticking up in several directions. Alfred laughs in joy when he sees him.

"I thought we lost you..." Alfred murmurs quietly as Cuba says nothing in comment. You were crying, but so relieved that he was alright. Although, he still wasn't moving.

Cuba scoffs. "So I'm guessing there was some weird incident yesterday, yes? Anyways, the chico was washed up on my shore, in a terrible state. There was so much water in his lungs that I'm surprised he survived it all."

Chris begins to cough, and he bolts upright, gasping for air. You hug him, trying to comfort him by rubbing his back. "Shh, it's alright." You murmur, as Chris stops squirming and gasping for air.

Chris glances to you with wide eyes, and immediately hugs you back. Though, his grip was loose because of how frail and weak his arms were still. He rests his head in your shoulder, crying from joy.

"Chica, you're okay!" He cries, smiling with joy. Chris laughs, though it sounded more like a croak with his hoarse voice.

You look at him in shock. "What do you mean if I'm okay? You saved my life! Look, you literally died for me-ish. I'll do anything in return to now that I can repay you." You loudly insist, still hugging him happily.

Chris just smiles. "Anything~?"

Your face turns bright red. "N-no! I mean, yeah anything, but not like that!" You say awkwardly, avoiding his eye contact.

Before you can argue anymore, Chris pulls your face closer and kisses you in the lips. Your face blushes as you remember that both Cuba and America were still watching this. After he pulls away, Chris hugs you tightly in his arms, kissing your head and running his hands through you hair.

"You've payed me back. Gracias." He murmurs, touching his nose to yours. You couldn't help but smile like an idiot as he continues to wrap his arms around you, rubbing your back.

Alfred snorts. "Yeah, yeah, so after we're done with this fluffy fanfiction scene, can we, like, go out for burgers or somethin'?"
