Memory

I can't help but recall the memory of a pink summer

Reclining under the lemon tree of August

Our feet lay on the grass, dirty and calloused

Pink camellias and carnations only to you I offer

You danced with glee under the falling petals of cedar

As you smiled and traversed a fuchsia forest

Where a field of rosemary and white clovers stood honest

You humbly swayed with me surrounded by China aster

I can't help but remember the tea rose-colored sky

As you went home with a trail of colchicum on your feet

You and I said each our goodbye

Forget-me-not, a bird could not help but tweet

Indian jasmine and magenta zinnias sigh

For that moment will stay like an everlasting fleet
