E L E V E N - E P I L O G U E
"3 days? She's been asleep 3 days?"
"If I didn't keep her asleep she'd probably be arrested right now, so thank you but I know what I'm doing."
Mickey's dad glared at Tony Stark as the two entered the room where said girl was peacefully sleeping. They were back in the states, in New York, to be specific within the walls of the Stark Tower.
Charles Danvers had arrived 20 minutes prior, jumping off an old garbage truck in front of the infamous tower, chirping dog in hand. Tony hadn't bothered to ask how or what he had done to get back in the country so quickly, Danvers had always stated he could do the impossible for his daughter, which included nearly giving himself up.
Tony had convinced him otherwise however, instead they'd compromised over a simple phone call and the details of which would soon be revealed to not only most of the avengers (including the recently escaped and excommunicated) but also to the one who was seconds from awakening.
Charles walked over to his daughter bedside, brushing the hair from her face and squeezing her hand much like he'd done the day she'd been born. He could still see his wife, all red faced and sweaty, panting heavily as she'd looked at him and smiled despite her troubles. She'd been so worried he wouldn't accept the little girl, and yet the moment Charles had set eyes on her; even covered in blood he'd taken her out of the nurses hands as soon as possible and held her tightly. This was his daughter, like it or not, nothing would ever change that in his mind.
He noticed the slit on her lips, a small but just on the bow of her top lip, and across her cheek, the skin underneath her eyes was just beginning to lighten but he could still see the purple splotches there.
His hands gently pressed against her hand before looking at Tony, "what happened to her?"
"She's a hell of a fighter, didn't go down so easily."
"Yeah, she's always been good at that." Charles smirked and smiled at his daughter, completely ignoring the look on Tony's face like he was aggravated.
He blinked away and strode over to the cabinets, plucking something out. "This will wake her up, she'll be angry, if I know her—"
"You don't," Charles cut in with malice as his jaw locked and he seemed pissed. "You shouldn't have sent her to bed like she was some child and you were her parent."
"You're not her father to be making those decisions." Tony snapped, really going low.
Charles narrowed his eyes, standing toe to toe with the Iron Man himself. The secret that Charles and Mickey weren't biologically father and daughter wasn't something that was spoken about, much less hurled at Charles. When the revelation was made to a new person it was always followed by the story of a once powerful man who's insulted Danvers with the very truth when Mickey was about 4, the man had disappeared one night in the midst of a very public restaurant, and no one had heard from him since. His entire legacy was dismantled, so much so that his very name was forgotten.
Charles now felt his blood quickening as the anger thrashed like rabid lava in his skin, and despite the physical actions he wished to unleash there was really only one thing he needed to say to enact actual harm to Stark. His eyes dropped to give Tony a very disgusted once-over and he sneered, "neither will you ever be."
Stark looked away and instead down to the teenage girl, "I know that, I'll always know that."
Charles went back to mickeys side and clutches her hand, Stark walking around the other side and lifting the needle to the IV tube. "She'll be awake in 15 minutes, before then we'll have to tell her everything."
"Not everything, not yet." Charles argued, knowing fully well that his daughter was not one for multiple hard hits in one session.
Tony purses his lips and sighed, "fine but she'll find out eventually, if she's anything like her mother."
"She's every bit Claudia, thank god." Charles interrupted.
Tony wasn't annoyed at his interruption, nodding his head and giving the man an approving look, thank god indeed.
"Wether we want it or not Mickey is gonna find out, and she's not gonna be happy about that either." Tony went on.
Charles smiled, "like I said, you don't know her. Mickey's only ever wanted a family, she's got me but who else? The avengers are gone now, she'll be mad at first but trust me, if I know my daughter the way I think I do, anger is never gonna be her full sentiment."
"Whatever the case may be, its time, she's been gone too long and besides she's gonna need time to swallow the news we're about to deliver."

Mickey's first sensation once opening her eyes hadn't been comfort, in fact, after gathering her thoughts and recollecting her recent memories comfort was the last idea she expected. Her head was a bit sore but it wasn't overbearing and her mouth felt dry but all in all she was quite stunned, especially when she heard the first voice—or bark.
Minnie licked her face, a frustrated bark leaving the small pooch as her tiny paws pushed against Mickey's chest to awaken completely. The brunette teenager thought she must have been dreaming, or worse put in some simulation to extract truth from her but as her sense of touch came back and she felt the soft padding of a lines pillow and sheets followed by a familiar embrace she knew none of it was a lie.
And that terrified her even more.
Her eyes closely blinked as the late afternoon light came protruding into the room and she focused on the room. There was of course Minnie, happily barking and pressing her head against Mickey's hand, begging to be acknowledged, Stark standing with crosses arms and an unreadable expression, and finally her dad who was smiling at her.
"Dad," she croaked our, suddenly wanting a barrel of water to drink. "Dad—how?"
Her hands suddenly started pushing so she could sit up, a wave of unease filling her as the world spun a bit fast. Her father stilled as she moved to fast and then slowly helped her sit up, "easy there sweetheart, you've been sleeping for awhile—it's uhh been a bit of a hectic situation."
Her eyes suddenly shot to Tony, "what's going on? You nearly killed me."
Tony rolled his eyes and came forward, suddenly fighting off the discomfort and walked towards the bedside table, pouring water into a cup. "I didn't try and kill you, let's get that out of the way, I placated you into a sleep so Ross wouldn't throw you into prison like the rest of them."
"Prison? Why would you save me from that? I turned against you, out of everyone I'm the person you should hate most!" She yelled, nearly damaging her voice as it felt like actual lions were clawing her throat.
Tony handed her the cup of water which she took gingerly and dipped at, "You are and aren't actually but I'm a business man, and also I'm impressed to say the least so I made a deal."
Mickey narrowed her eyes, "a deal?"
Tony smiles bright and nodded his head, "your dads ideas."
Her eyes snapped toward her father and she spoke, "what kind of deal?"

"High school? I'm going to actual high school?" Mickey was stunned to say the least as the only real impact her fathers words had spoken were the ones she continuously repeated.
Never mind the idea that Tony had secretly known she would betray them per her fathers secret communication with the man or the idea that he had convinced everyone on his side to keep her betrayal a secret amongst them. Also the fact she'd been in an induced coma for last 3 days went right over her head as they'd explained that not only would she be going under a new name as well as a permanent resident of New York and under the care of Tony Stark.
But the most wild thing of it all was she would be headed to high school, of all things High school.
"Midtown High School to be exact, well in a few months—once the battle cools down and it's safe to know no one will be able to recognize you entirely." Tony reiterated, tapping on the iPad he had in hand and recreating a hologram. "You'll be known as Micaela Franco, another recipient of my award and a dear friends daughter who tragically passed away."
"Oh you're kidding," Mickey scoffed and shook her head. "This isn't possible, I want to go to jail. Lock me up."
Charles shook his head amusingly, "honey, you need time to let this settle."
"Settle? SETTLE?!" Mickey yelled, "I didn't fight off aliens, evil robots, an entire nazi organization, and Iron Man himself to go back to that shithole! Besides I already graduated when I was 12! No! I refuse! Nope!"
"Well the alternative is your father goes to jail." Tony dropped the bomb.
Mickey snapped out of her refusal then and looked up, "what?"
Charles sighed, "I offered to turn myself in for your immunity in this whole thing. Tony bargained a better offer, you'll be a regular kid with regular responsibilities and I'll disappear out of the US."
"No, no!" Mickey shook her head at the idea of being away from her father; they'd already spent to much time apart, this was not okay.
Charles squeezed his daughters hands, "it's okay; we have 2 months together until you go to school."
"That's still not enough, dad, you can't leave me again." Mickey's voice was small as she shook her head repeatedly.
Tony felt uncomfortable, like something was caught in his throat and he turned away from them. "I'll give you 2 a moment."
"Dad..." Mickey nearly sobbed when the door closed.
Charles silences her by placing his hand under her chin and lifting her face so she could look at his smile. "We will be okay, I'm never gonna be far. I want you to grow up like a regular kid and have that chance but if this doesn't work, if it's not what you want then I'll come get you."
"Dad, I don't know if I can do this."
Charles laughed softly, "you're capable of this and more—besides I'm always a phone call away."

Peter was exhausted, to say the least, his eyes felt droopy and every breath felt like it was slowly rocking him to sleep. The cold air of the classroom mixed with the warmth of his jacket was a dire combination that was making him feel to the point of sleep. The nights had become fascinating lately and the days long, making for a rather unconventional mixture as he struggled to get a grasp on his reality.
He needed to listen to the class but his eyes are slowly winning the battle and as his cheek feels the cold desk pressed tightly he figures missing one more class wouldn't hurt, Ned could fill him in later if he really needed it.
He was nearly out of it, just a bit longer and he'd be in a dream haven where he was once more battling some of the greatest heroes or under the stars with a certain brunette but the sound of a door sweeping open and the patter of heels interrupted briefly, although he was keen on ignoring.
"Class it looks like we have a new student today, everyone meet our new exchange student from Brazil, Micaela Franco." The teachers dull tone barely pierced his ears as he continued to drift off.
"Actually..." and it was that voice that immediately shot him up with wide eyes like he'd just been threatened, which that very had done numerous times. The sound his chair made scrapping against the floor as it pressed back disgraced everyone from the new girls attention for a brief second, even Ned who gave him a very odd look.
"Dude—you okay?" His best friend whispered.
Peter however was far from answering as he matched eyes with Mickey who had that same catlike look in her eyes at him, exactly like the day they'd met. She didn't miss a beat as she went on, "I'm from the states, originally the west coast but I was in Brazil the last few months and Europe before then, now it seems I've been forced to settle here."
"Ahh well, how adventurous, Midtown must seem like such a boring place to settle in now." There was a hint of jealousy in the teachers voice.
Mickey hummed and pressed back her elegant jacket to push her bag up her shoulder, "actually—this place gives me the sense that I'm gonna like it here. There's always something exciting about a new place, almost like a tingling."
The class laughed softly at her words and Mickey won them over with a broad smile but as her words ended she met Peter's eyes and he knew it wasn't just a statement but a mock.
His personal mock.
And so he knew that things were about to get much more interesting.
She'd called them spidey senses, well they were tingling alright as they stared one another down, they were erratic.

THE END
PART 2 may or may not be coming soon? Depends on when I see Homecoming and if I ever see it! Thank you however for loving Mickey this much and giving me an opportunity to show my support for
Spider-Man! I've loved him through Tobey, Andrew, and now infamous Tom!
