Woodlands faeries have a number of special holidays throughout the year. Though they follow a lunar calendar system, their four major holidays follow the sun. Over time, pixies have also adopted these holidays, though they don't have as many ceremonial traditions surrounding them. They mostly just like having an excuse to party. Water sprites do not observe these holidays, but they do have their own set of special occasions. 

· Solaheim: Spring equinox. The start of spring ushers in the new year.

· Lolaheim: Summer solstice. As the longest day of the year, it has a strong magical pull.

· Sandraheim: Fall equinox. This day marks the period of time in which woodlands prep for the winter.

· Landraheim: Winter solstice. As the shortest day of the year, magic isn't as potent. Woodlands spend this day secreted away in their magic source for safety and to draw in as much magic as possible.
