ELCoF

The Emergency Legal Council on Faeries (ELCoF) is a legislative body that was established to make laws, policies, and procedures regarding the treatment of faeries. They are in charge of taking current research and relevant experiences and translating those into needed laws to protect both faeries and humans. Their power transcends both local and national governments, but only in cases relating to faeries. As soon as they sign a bill into law, it goes into effect immediately. Local and national governments can contest their laws, and the ELCoF will make modifications as needed. 

The ELCoF has grown into a huge international body over the last twenty years since faeries were officially discovered, and they have many different departments and specialties. There is lately much dispute over ELCoF reach, especially as the ELCoF has made more laws protecting lands, resources, and wild spaces for faeries. 

Lucy works for the ELCoF. She works with other faeries to determine broader needs and presents their experiences to lawmakers to help draft bills.  

BWRToF

The Board for the Wellness, Research, and Treatment of Faeries is a scientific board that works closely with the ELCoF. There are many chapters of the board throughout the world, and they supply the ELCoF with their research so that the ELCoF can make relevant laws and policies based on current needs. The board also acts as a resource for regular humans trying to learn how to best interact with faeries as they become more integrated in human life. The board members all specialize in different things, from ecology, medicine, zoology, biology, etc. 

Dr. Jones is the head of the local chapter of the board, and Niles is a member on it. Niles also works as a medical doctor at a government-run faerie clinic and is part of a smaller, separate research team that is also headed by Dr. Jones. He is very busy all the time.
