It is your second day at the top gun academy and you and Scott are preparing for a training flight.

"Scott are you ready to prove those softies wrong?" you ask as you open your locker to find it graffitied on.

"Oh come on that is taking it too far," you utter. At least they didn't ruin the flight suit or anything like that.

"Show me," Scott remarks as you grab your gear and shuffle out of the way. He takes a photo. Two minutes later you are all in the classroom getting the briefing from Maverick.

"The mission is simple. Get a missile lock on five enemy fighters and avoid missile lock yourselves," he remarks. Sounds good.

"And to add fuel to the fire you and your RIOs will be working in teams of two,"

"Crap," you utter. You hope they decide to play well.

"Sounds like booty ain't happy," One of the cadets, Chase responds. At least he is Max's RIO you think.

"Chase, Max you're with Scott and (Y/N), Jamie, Valentine you're with AJ and James," Maverick delegates the teams and you are hoping that Max is the pilot because he is the second nicest to you after Scott. Ten minutes later you are all in the air and you are ready to prove yourself

"Joey I've got headings 1-180," you radio to Max who is thankfully piloting

"Roger bluejay," he confirms as he peels off. You do the same.

"Good luck,"

"Same to you Joey," you respond. Three minutes later you've spotted on of the aggressor aircraft. You pull up into the clouds.

"Scott, what do you think if I came out of the clouds and then got a missile lock?" You ask because you want to know if your plan will work.

"Go for it," he replies with a slight grin. You come out of the clouds and get an immediate missile look.

"First one down," Maverick announces over the radio.

"Points to bluejay,"

"Congrats," Max responses over the radio. Two minutes later you've made it to another aggressor aircraft but this time AJ and James are chasing it.

"Silver fox I'm here if you need any assistance," you radio in

"I've got this," AJ replies but the aggressor aircraft manages to do a roll and get over AJ's plane

"(Y/N) be careful of jet wash," Scott reminds you of the biggest danger of flying in a fighter jet. Before you can adjust Jamie cuts you off on purpose and you enter the jet wash created by the engines of his jet

"Sorry Booty," Jamie apologies sarcastically

"Crap," Scott exclaims because you've both heard both engines flame out

"I'm aware but we will have to eject before we enter a flat spin," you start the ejection sequence. A minute later the canopy has come off and Scott as safely ejected but you are struggling to pull the cord. Another minute later you've managed to escape but you are extremely pissed off. Jamie is lucky that you don't have access to a radio. Thirty minutes later you are explaining what happened to Maverick. Your anger is simmering.

"With all due respect sir I think Jamie intentionally cut in front of me," you start the explanation. At least no one was injured so there won't be any JAG investigations.

"And the jet wash from that manoeuvre caused both engines to flame out. If I hadn't ejected I wouldn't be standing here,"

"I will ask someone from the JAG to launch an investigation but I can't guarantee any results," Maverick responds deep in thought. You understand where he is coming from.

"Captain Mitchell I really don't care about an investigation all I care about is an apology," you demand even though you know that Maverick can't really do anything. There is a knock on the door.

"Come in," Maverick remarks. Iceman enters with a folder.

"Maverick I've got the preliminary investigation report and admiral Callahan wants you to tell him what you are going to do about the incident," Iceman responds as he places a bulging folder on the table. You are impressed that there is that much information already. Seventeen minutes later are all back in the classroom. You are going over some of your notes.

"(Y/N)," Max Remarks

"Yes, Max?" You respond a little out of it. You are more focused on the notes.

"Are you alright?" He asks as he sits next to you

"No, It's Chase and Jamie," you respond a little defeated. You decide to tell someone who you feel.

"They're starting to bug me,"

"I'll see what I can do and speak of the devil," Max remark as everyone else enters. Jamie spots your notebook and snatches it from you. Another wave of teasing.

"Hey come on," you whine as you try to get your notebook back. Jamie dodges your attempts and he starts reading.

"You write notes?" Jamie says with sarcastic surprise. Scott tries to take the notebook back for you but he is also unsuccessful.

"Jamie can you please just give it back to her," Max speaks up

"Yes I can," he responds as he tears three pages of notes in half. He then chucks it back on your desk. You get up and leave. Your anger has reached its tipping point.

"Sorry Captain," you remark as you barge past. You've decided to head to the one place where you will be safe. Two minutes later you've made it to the Ladies change rooms. Your anger has finally reached boiling point.
