Chapter 10 - Space Battle

Once the lift reached to the top floor, Bumblebee stepped forward, entering the backstage area. Stage crew was scrambling all over the place, along with people in costume for the big 'Space Battle' sequence. Boxes, amplifiers, and props were everywhere as he looked around the room for any sign of Bisk.

Speaking of the devil, the Autobot spotted Bisk at the other end of the room, and it appeared that he was making his way up on stage with a few of the other performers.

"Found you--"

"Eh, you there!"

Bumblebee flinched as he turned around, spotting a man wearing a navy blue suit and headphones running towards him.

"Where the hell have you been? Put your costume on, and get on the bloody stage!"

Bumblebee glanced over to the side, spotting a costume that looked just about his size, hanging from a rack at the side of the room.

He looked back over at the stage manager, shrugging. "If you insist!"

Bumblebee ran to the side, swiping the costume from the rack as he quickly slipped it on over his clothes. The costume he was wearing was a yellow and black jumpsuit, with a yellow helmet.

Once he was set, he ran to the other side of the room and right into the left section of the stage. A group of performers ran to centre stage as Bumblebee rammed Bisk in the back, forcing the Deceticon to the floor. He turned around, just in time to block a punch from the brown skinned man and push him back.

The red haired man bounced to his feet, charging after Bumblebee as the platinum haired man got into a stance. Bisk raised his fist, throwing a punch towards the man's face. Bumblebee ducked down, dodging the punch as he lunged forward body slamming Bisk in the chest. Bisk quickly recovered from the attack, and the pair locked fists with each other, staring each other down.

"The one player I never defeated," Bisk growled. "I'll high score you out of existence!"

"I've seen your moves, Bisk, believe me," Bumblebee replied as he tightened his grip on Bisk's hands with his metal gloves. "You're no where near my level."

Keeping him steady, Bumblebee raised his right foot and kicked Bisk right in the stomach, ramming him right into the wall of the stage.

But before the two of them could continue their fight, they were met with a loud, sudden, screaming applause. They pair turned their heads to the side, and peering through the lights, they found a ocean of people, cheering and hollering as music blared in their ears. Bumblebee turned his head to the side, spotting the band "Real Axle" performing live, with Bumblebee and Bisk up on the giant plasma screen.

"It's... it's like being in a video game!" Bisk exclaimed.

A wide smile crept on Bumblebee's face as he took in the scenery. "It's... like being in a dream."

As Bumblebee took in the scenery, a series of barks and growls caught his attention. He just turned in the nick of time to watch himself be bombarded by a pair of German Shepherds. They clawed at his body, biting at his shoulders and arms as the man desperately tried to shove the dogs off of him.

Finally after a few seconds of stinging torture, Bumblebee reached back, grabbed the collars of the dogs and yanking them off his body, tossing them to the side. The dogs scrambled to their feet, growling at the man. Bumblebee growled back at the dogs, and the two canines backed off.

With those two out of the way, Bumblebee scanned the stage, spotting Bisk making his way down the middle aisle. Walking straight towards the audio booth at the center of the arena where the soundboards were located.

Bumblebee ran straight for him as he reached down, pulling a rod out of his boot and pushed a button, the weapon extending into his staff as he used it to trip Bisk, making the skinny figure collapse at the end of the aisle. With one hand, Bumblebee grabbed his shoulder and with a heavy heave, he tossed Bisk back down the aisle.

The crowds cheering seemed to increase. They must all think that this was part of the show!

Bumblebee stood over Bisk, strapped his staff to his back as he repeatedly punched Bisk in the face. But the Decepticon caught the Autobot's last punch, and with his free hand, brought out his advanced looking weapon, and fired a blast of blue energy.

The blast struck Bumblebee, and while it didn't do any life threatening damage, Bumblebee felt excruciating pain in his mind as he clutched his head with his hands, growling from the pain as he backed away from Decepticon. The pain was so bad that he fell to his side, collapsing to the floor of the aisle.

"Anvil, Hammer!" Bisk called as he looked around for his dogs, hoping for them to finish off the Autobot for good. But when he spotted them, they yelped at the sight of all the lights, flame throwers, and lasers, that they took off running. "I never liked multiplayer anyway."

Bisk stalked towards Bumblebee as the Autobot slowly pushed himself back up to his feet, the effects of the blast wearing off. He reached to his back, bringing out his staff as he charged for the Decepticon. The pair fought back in fourth in sync with the music, blocking each other's attacks as the audience's cheers grew louder and louder from their excitement.

The two of them circled as they fought, trying to throw each other off balance. Eventually, Bisk got the jump on Bumblebee, knocking him to the floor.

Kiki, with the help of a few security guards, worked on evacuating any civilians they could find that were still wandering the circular hallway. Once they were taken care of, Kiki jogged her way down the arena stairs, catching the attention of anyone that was willing to follow her orders in leaving the area.

Once at the bottom of the stairs, Kiki pushed her way through the crowd, heading towards the soundboard booth. At one point, a group of guys were partying so hard that they spilled soda and melted nacho cheese on her jacket and shirt.

"Seriously?" She muttered.

She pulled Bumblebee's badge out of her pocket, showing it off to the group.

"Outside, now."

Surprisingly enough, they did as told, leaving their seats and making their way up the stairs.

With that over and done with, she took off her jacket, teeing it around her waist. Kiki continued her way through the crowd, making it to the booth as she climbed up the metal bars to get a view of the workers. Kiki sighed with relief, glad to see that the soundboard was still there. If it was still here, that means Bisk hasn't taken it yet. So did Bumblebee catch him already?

The crowd suddenly shouting "OW!" simultaneously caught the girl's attention. She focused her attention towards the stage, and nearly lost her balance and fell off the bar. She spotted Bumblebee fighting Bisk, right on the concert stage!

Bisk kept forcing Bumblebee back, throwing punches left and right. At one point, Bisk knocked Bumblebee's staff right out of his hands, the device toppling to the side. Bisk continued to punch Bumblebee back until he charged the man, wrapping his arms around his stomach and with all of the might he could muster, Bisk flipped Bumblebee right over his body and the Autobot collapsed to the ground.

There was another "OW!" from the audience as Kiki gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. She watched as Bisk grabbed Bumblebee's throat, lifting him up into the air. She watched as he brought out his gun, the same weapon he had used against her back in the basement. He changed a setting on the device, before aiming it at Bumblebee's chest and began charging the weapon.

Kiki watched, terrified as Bumblebee's eyes flickered open, looking out to the crowd. The ginger haired girl could have sworn the two of them locked eyes with each other.

Acting on impulse, Kiki brought her hands back up to her mouth, opening them into a circular shape as she breathed in deeply, and then shouted as loud as her voice could muster. "BUMBLEBEE!"

After that, her voice dry and raspy from the scream, she could have sworn she saw Bumblebee... grinning at her.

Then without warning, Bumblebee reached over, grabbed Bisk's arms with his hands and kicked Bisk right in the chest, forcing the Decepticon to drop his weapon. Bumblebee quickly raced back to pick up his staff, before swiftly twirling his staff around in his fingers, then using it to repeatedly slap Bisk in the face.

The crowds cheers accelerated even more, and Kiki found herself cheering Bumblebee on.

Finally, Bumblebee delivered the finishing blow, using his staff to ram Bisk right in the chest, sending the man flying back and crashing right into an amplifier!

Bumblebee stood in a victorious stance, just as the flame throwers went off again, and the crowd went crazy. The man turned around to face the crowd, looking on at the applauding faces. Footsteps could be heard from behind him as Reel Axle joined him at the end of the middle aisle, the drummer of the band even taking his fist and lifting it into the air.

Bumblebee and Kiki stood outside the stadium. Police quickly filled the area as they watched Strongarm escort Bisk into a police car, Prowl questioning the guards and crew members, and Jazz assisting the dogs into truck heading for the animal shelter.

"Well this was one way to spend a Saturday night," Kiki commented.

"Yes it was," Bumblebee chuckled. "I don't remember Reel Axle concerts being this wild."

"Speaking of, Reel Axle wasn't actually that bad," Kiki admitted with a shrug. "Sorry you couldn't really enjoy the concert, Bumblebee."

Bumblebee's eyes suddenly sparkled, a wider smile spreading across his lips. "Are you kidding me? I was part of the concert! Me! Up on stage with Reel Axle! I feel like a brand new man! And the best part, the band is letting me keep the costume as a souvenir!"

"That's amazing," Kiki exclaimed. "Now you'll have something to remember tonight."

"None of this wouldn't have been possible without you, Kiki. Thank you so much for inviting me, I feel like I could--- I could kiss you!" he proclaimed.

The pair froze in their place, their expressions changing when they both processed what the man had said. Bumblebee quickly scanned the area, noticing that none of his closet friends were close enough to hear his sudden outburst. He turned his gaze back to Kiki, who's eyes never tore away from his face after what he said. Her mouth was gaped open just a tiny bit and he could have sworn he saw her... blushing?

Kiki's mind was racing at this point.

Did he just... did he really just say that? To me?!

Worried that he may have made his new friend feel uncomfortable, he faked a cough, a slight blush appearing on his cheeks as well as he rubbed the back of his neck, his speech stuttering. "I--I mean, I w-would like to, if-- if that's o-okay with you."

Was... was he asking for my permission to kiss me?

Kiki had no idea what to do. Her mind was racing with endless possibilities of what the possible outcome could be. Maybe he was just trying to be polite? After all, the both of them could have nearly died tonight for all they knew.

"If you feel comfortable," Kiki finally spoke up, slowly. "... You may."

Kiki watched Bumblebee smile a little, as he gentle wrapped an arm around her shoulders, leaning forward and placed a light kiss on the girl's temple.

"Was that okay?" He asked.

Kiki couldn't help but giggle as she replied; "That was okay."

Bumblebee's smile only grew even more as he glanced away from the girl ever so slightly, catching Jazz's gaze as he appeared to be giving his friend a look of "approval", nodding his head in the process.

"I am not going to hear the end of it from him," Bumblebee thought. He shook his head, focusing her attention back on Kiki as he then noticed the stains on Kiki's shirt and jacket. "Whoa, what happened to you?" He questioned a loud.

"Oh, this," Kiki realized, looking down at herself. "Some party animals were partying a little too hard."

"If you want, you can borrow---" Bumblebee offered, tugging on his clean shirt.

"Oh, no, no! It's okay, really," Kiki assured the man, waving her hands. "I can just change at home."

"Alright, if you're sure," Bumblebee nodded, his signature smile returning. "Come on, I'll drive you home."

Realizing that Bumblebee still had his arm around Kiki, the girl blushed again as she allowed the lieutenant to guide her in the direction of his car, and as they walked, Jazz patted Bumblebee on his shoulder as the pair walked by him.

This made the platinum haired man think; Maybe Jazz was right. Was Kiki really crushing on him?

After processing it for a moment, considering what the two of them have been through so far for the last two weeks, he thought, maybe Kiki crushing on him isn't all that bad.
