•chapter four•
The restaurant is casual, it's a burger with a side of fries.
Stiles says he use to do the drive in with his dad and get a burger but he had never really sat down in the shop and enjoyed his meal.
We chose a small table at the back of the shop, where Scott and Stiles organized the meal.
"So how was Liam?" I ask Scott, who fiddles with his burger.
"He was in pain of course. So mum took him and is gonna help him. He should be fine"
I nod. "Sorry I couldn't help." I say, taking a bite out of my burger.
"You're no doctor, we shouldn't have expected you to" Stiles replies.
"So can we talk about your run in with Peter?" Scott says. I raise an eyebrow, the thought of the conversation making me sick.
"Well, on my way home I heard someone call my name from the woods. I was drawn to the place where my aunt died and Peter just happened to be there" I say.
"Did you kick his ass?" Stiles scoffs.
"No. Me against a wolf?" I ask.
Scott shrugs.
"And?" He laughs.
"I'm a skinny scrawny little girl. I don't think I'd match a werewolf" I argue, layering my fries with tomato sauce.
"You're a hunter right?" Stiles asks.
I put my face in my hands.
"God no."
They both laugh.
"What's so bad about being a hunter. Sorry Scott" Stiles says.
"Apart from killing innocent people?" I sarcastically say.
"Oh okay.."
They smile and continue eating. Scott's phone beeps and he looks to Stiles.
"Mom called. She needs us" he says.
Stiles looks to me apologetically.
"I kinda need to meet my dad at the station too, wanna ride home Jo?" He asks.
I shrug.
"Nah, it's cool. Thanks for lunch though. I owe you" I say.
Scott smiles.
"Your welcome. And nah, you're good"
I watch them leave an I check my phone. The time is 6:30, so I stand up and leave myself.

It's dark now, and all I can see if a twinkling light of a petrol station. I smile to myself, fishing a buck out of my pocket.
Chocolate, I really want some chocolate.
I walk into the gas station, browsing the food and candy. My fingers brush against a chocolate bar and I take it off, walking to the front desk to pay.
I notice there is no cashier, so I keep myself patient.
Then I begin to hear a loud banging coming from outside.
"Miss! Miss! Come out!" I hear a male voice shout.
I hear a yelp and a smash. My heartbeat zooms.
I somehow find a way to actually move my feet, edging closer to the noise.
I walk outside and hear a noise, the sound of flesh tearing. I walk closer and peer behind the door.
My eyes enlarged and I almost suddenly feel woozy.
There's a dead body, torn and shredded.
Blood, lots of blood.
And then there's a were-something with facial features identifiable enough to know who it was.
It was my aunt Kate, staring straight into me, covered in blood.
