Flash 9

"Merry Christmas. Just a small token of my gratitude..." Barry reached inside his bag and handed every one of them a present.

"Aw." Caitlin smiled.

"For everything you guys have done for me this year."

"I think I speak on behalf of my colleagues when I say you've been a gift for us, Barry." Brry reached inside his bag again and took out a thermos.

"What's that?" He held it up and grinned.

"This is compliments of Iris... Grandma Esther's famous eggnog." Cisco pointed at him, very happy.

"That's what I'm talking about."

"Maybe later for me. Wouldn't want to drink and drive." Wells excused and rolled out. Barry frowned.

"Did I say something wrong?" Cisco shook his head.

"No, man. He, um... this used to be his favorite time of year, but the accident happened before Christmas, so... Kind of ruined the holidays." Caitlin smiled, getting an idea.

"I'm gonna go get him a present. Maybe that'll cheer him up." She passed Barry. "Thank you very much." He turned to Cisco, seeing they were left alone.

"So what are you doing for Christmas, Cisco?" Cisco shook his head but smiled.

"No, but I did get something great" He reached behind the desk and took out an very ugly Christmas sweater.

"Please tell me that's not for me" Barry muttered. Cisco chuckled and walked past him.

"No way, this is for Robin" Barry's smile disappeared. "I know, I know but I thought that if I laid this on her she would have to wake up to take it off" He grinned and walked inside Robin's room. She still hadn't woken up and it was staring to worry them. Cisco had tried to remain positive and had even decorated Robin's room. Barry followed Cisco inside the room. Cisco placed the sweater onto Robin's unmoving body and it looked absolutely horrid. On her nightstand stood several presents. One from Wells (the neat one, packed in silver paper), one from Caitlin (The large one, wrapped in dark blue paper) and one from Cisco (horribly wrapped in lord of the rings paper). There were three more, which Barry assumed where from her family.

Cisco grinned and stepped back, admiring his work. Barry reached inside his bag again and took out another present ( Small and wrapped in red paper). He placed it next to the others.

"She'll will wake up soon" Cisco smiled. "Don't worry"

-

"Ronnie is alive" Caitlin breathed, tears in her eyes. "I know he is, it's just that, he isn't the same anymore" She sniffed and wiped away her tears. "Cisco doesn't believe me but I know what I saw. You survived the explosion, he could too" Caitlin smiled sadly and grabbed Robin's hand. "I just have to find him" She jumped away and held her hand as a shock passed through her body. "Robin?" She tried but Robin remained motionless. Caitlin shook her head and looked at the sweater that laid on Robin. "Must be the sweater" She muttered and walked out.

-

Barry sat in silence, the song 'I want you back' playing softly in the background. He just stared at her, at her face, that used to hold so much color. He just wished she would open her eyes and shout at him for being so careless. Barry held his head in his hands and sighed.

"I confessed to her." He whispered. "I told Iris how I felt and she told me that" He swallowed. "That I had to move on from her. And I know I have to but she was everything to me, I can't just throw that away. I-" He stopped himself and looked at her. "I'm going to make it right" He sped out.

-

"Hey." Barry grinned as he stepped into the house with Jo.

"Oh. Hey." He frowned, seeing Caitlin and Cisco there was well.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"I invited them." Jo smiled. "Where's Dr. Wells?"

"Uh, he wasn't feeling up to a social gathering, but he appreciated the invitation." Caitlin explained. She held up a mug. "Eggnog?" Barry nodded and took the mug.

"Yes." Caitlin walked to the side with Cisco and Barry sat down in front of Iris and Eddie.

"Merry Christmas, Barry."

"You too, Eddie. Hey, I, um... Well, I just wanted to say, um... I heard you're moving in together, and I'm really happy for you."

"Thanks." Iris smiled, wanting nothing more than seeing him happy. Caitlin walked back towards them, her own mug of eggnog in her hands.

"Dad, it's time."Iris called. Jo came back from the hallway and smiled.

"Okay, let's see." He took the tree topper from the ground and placed it on top of the tree. It turned on and Iris clapped. Cisco raised his hand in a silent hooray and the rest chuckled. The doorbell rang and Jo grinned. "That'll be the pizza man, be right back" Barry and Caitlin moved away, making a path for Jo. He took out a couple of bills and opened the door. What he saw, made him nearly drop his bills.

"Hey Jo, do you think there's room for one more?" Jo blinked and nodded.

"Of course." The whole party looked up in surprise as Jo stepped aside to let the guest in. Most of them suspected Wells to roll in but instead Robin appeared inside the room, wearing Cisco's Christmas sweater. Caitlin dropped her eggnog but Barry caught it.

"Robin" She breathed and stared at her. She was still a bit pale, except for her nose, which was red from the cold. She smiled.

"Hey" Caitlin ran over to her and crushed her in a hug. Cisco was next, lifting her off her feet. Barry stood on the side, not believing what he saw. Robin squealed as Cisco spun her around. He placed her back down and she punched him in the chest. He yelped and rubbed his chest.

"Auw! What was that for?!"

"The sweater" He grinned and Robin stepped past him. She stopped when she noticed Barry. Barry stood frozen, just staring before he grinned.

"Come here Allen" Robin grinned. Barry was in front of her in two long strides and hugged her. Robin hugged him back just as tightly. Barry closed his eyes, taking in everything. Her smell, the feel of her in his arms and the soft sound of her heartbeat against his ear. They released all too soon. Barry beamed from ear to ear. Robin grinned before she was grabbed from behind. Robin turned around and hugged Eddie. Next was Iris. Even Jo hugged her. Cisco walked towards Barry and slapped him on the back.

"A real Christmas miracle" Barry smiled at him and watched Robin hug Caitlin again. His smile widen though when he noticed the small golden ornament hanging around her neck. A small golden lighting bold.

"Why didn't Wells call us?" Caitlin asked her as they parted. Robin frowned.

"I didn't see him. I woke up, realized what day it was and guessed that you all were here" Cisco laughed, noticing she was still wearing what she wore when she was asleep plus the ugly sweater. Caitlin's eyes widen and pushed Robin down onto the couch.

"You need to sit, your bones could break, your organs could collapse and your brain could stop" Caitlin recited, reaching inside her bag trying to find her mini medical kit. Robin tried swatting her away causing the others to laugh. Hopefully everything was back to normal now.
