Michelle's P.O.V

"Are you ready , Michelle ?" asked my friend Scarlet . No, I am not . I can't do this . Crashing my boyfriend's sorry ex boyfriend's rehersal dinner didn't sound particularly exciting to me .

"Why can't I just go home , watch a hopelessly romantic movie, eat ice cream and cry my eyes out ?"

"Are you crazy ? You dated this guy for 7 years and you just wanna give up ? You can't do that . Go in there , Danny is with him in the balcony . Listen , Michelle I know you are afraid but life is short and list of regrets is longer . I don't want you add this on your list. "

Scars was correct I must go .God please be with me . I promise I will gift Rachael whatever she wants . You can do this Michelle. Mustering enough courage I opened the doors of the Great Plaza . Entering the hall I paved my way towards balcony where Danny was waiting for me .

" Best of luck , Michelle.If that bastard hurts you let me know. Even if he is my best friend I will still kill him for you but let me warn, if cops ask blame is on you "

"Thanks , Danny. I think I'll manage. "

As soon as I entered I checked him out . He still looked handsome and a big smile was stretched on his face . I can't believe he is happy I thought he must be having dark circles, puff red eyes mirroring mine . But guess what I was wrong .

" Hey Michelle. Looking beautiful as ever . So Danny told me you wanted to talk.

"  How could you do this , Alex  ? We dated for 7 years , 7 fucking years . Some marriages also dont last this long . And when I asked you a little time to wait for marriage , What do you do ? Marry the first girl your family introduces you . What a jerk !! Do you really want to marry her ? Answer me fucking bastard. " 

My shouting caused some heads to turn towards us . There were few people lingering near the balcony. While most of the guests were in the main hall drinking wine and gossiping . I always hated the idea of rehersal dinner. According to me they were a waste of money.

" Stop shouting , Michelle . Don't attract attention . "

" All you can think about is your reputation . What about me ? What about us ? "

He suddenly pushed me  towards the railing of balcony and closed the doors.

" Michelle , let me be honest here . What we had was just physical to me initially and then I started liking you and yes at some point loving you. But I can't wait for you forever. You know I am elder to you by 4 years .My parents want me to marry a girl and settle . Besides your parents won't approve of us . I am just an employee in a local firm unlike you who is at an assistant manager and earns trice as me   in  a successful reputated firm . So it's over . Get over it and move on. Or better get under someone and forget me "

" You bastard !" I exclaimed and slapped him across his face and started crying profusely.

" Stop crying for God's sake. You know what I have had enough of you. I have a party to attend and my fiance is waiting for me , so just get out !!"
With those callous words he just left. While I just stood there with tears glistening my face.

Today was officially the worst day of my life. Life had slapped me harder than  I had slapped him. Why did this have to happen to me ? I thought I would get my happily ever after with Alex but I was wrong .

Scars did not ask any questions. She just rubbed my back and cooled me down. We were in her car where Danny was passing me tissues and himself started  crying . Yeah , he too was sensitive . After half an hour Scars opened her mouth and broke silence no shrills of cries actually .

"Stop it guys it's not end of the world . Danny really ? Stop crying . I still can't figure out how did you become my boyfriend . We are totally opposite . Michelle that bastard is not worth it . Let's go in there and show him that if he is a jerk then we are bitches. Let's destroy his party today. "

" You are right . I am ready . That bastard needs to pay . What's the plan ?" I said. I will not shed tears in his name anymore . It's time to be even with Alex Asshole Rider.
