How It All Began

Just a brief little note, this whole chapter is a flashback. So, uh, yeah... Enjoy!

Delirious' POV - First Day of 6th grade

I nervously looked around to see a few other confused looking kids. In front of me was my first period class... or where it should've been. Some of the kids were already grouped up and chatting away with their new friends while I was standing off to the side by some stupid bush. A cold gust of wind blew by causing me to shiver. Where the heck was my teacher?! The room was right, I had made sure of that at least ten times.

"I assume everyone here is scheduled for Mr. Green's class?" a tall but strict looking man walked over from seemingly nowhere.

We all nodded and replied 'yes' to which he curiously looked us over, "Did you not know that you were all rescheduled for Mr. Carroll's class? Mr. Green is teaching seventh grade now in another room. You all have to go to room N1."

I quickly looked it up on my map to see that the room was in the left northern quad of the school. Everyone began walking with their groups towards the classroom and I jogged to catch up to the tail-end of my class. When we arrived, we could see the other half giving us all odd looks but they turned away as a different man came to welcome us all to his class. I finally recognized one of my closer friends and greeted him, "Hey Daniel!"

"Hey Jon!" he smiled as we entered the class. "Ready for some English?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" I jokingly poked his shoulder and leaned against wall. "Shoot, we have assigned seats."

"Wait! Look Jon! You sit behind me!" Daniel excitedly pointed towards the lines on the whiteboard.

"Really?!" I exclaimed and looked closer. "Cool!"

First period went by uneventfully. We made name cards and were introduced to everything we would be learning but that was about it. I met a girl named Nali and a guy named Ethan, both of whom sat next to me. Second period was all the way across the campus, in the U Quad. While I was in yet another class with Daniel, we had to sit in different table groups. Third period eventually came around, but who gives a heck about band when you didn't want to do it in the first place?

I took out a notebook and began aimlessly drawing. The bell rang after what seemed like hours and I packed up my semi-decent picture of a person wearing a hockey mask. I headed towards the largest building in the school, already knowing that it was where my next class took place. The P.E. teachers went over what everyone would be doing throughout the school year in their classes before handing us papers. "Get these signed and turned in by Friday," a scruffy looking man named Mr. Pierce told everyone.

Today was Tuesday so the task seemed simple enough. I carelessly shoved the paper in my blue and gray backpack before following my teacher outside to the blacktop. He went over more boring stuff about our units and runs then told me to stand up. "Jonathan here will be our example. Today we will get to know everyone in the class by playing a simple game of rock-paper-scissors. Losers must stand off to the side and are out," the teacher, Mr. Willey, announced and faced me. "Okay then! Rock, paper, scissors!"

He held out his hand in a rock shape while mine was a paper. "I win!" I grinned at him, proud to have beaten my teacher.

"Good job!" he congratulated me before turning back to the class. "You can all begin now."

I stood off to the side, unsure of where to go and looked at everyone who was playing. "Want to have a rematch?" Mr. Willey asked me.

"Sure!" I stretched out my arms.

"Rock, paper, scissors!" Mr. Willey tapped his hands together before turning one into 'scissors'.

"I win again!" I laughed as soon as I had realized I had played rock.

"Are you psychic?" he joked before turning back to where the rest of the class had finished. "Okay, who thinks that they can be Jonathan over here? He's pretty good."

Another boy raised his hand, "I can do it!"

"Alright, I'll do the count as soon as you're over here," my teacher motioned the other boy over to me. "Rock, paper, scissors!"

The first match we tied with two rocks but the second match his rock crushed my scissors. I gave him a high five and returned to my seat. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw some girls in the back of the class pointing at me and giggling. They caught me staring at them and began whispering to one another.

P.E. quickly ended so I picked up my backpack and lunchpail from the ground. A couple of my P.E. classmates apparently had fifth period with me so we headed towards the U Quad as a scattered group. The class was Science and seemed like it would be fun based on everything stapled to the walls.

It passed by just like any other class on the first day of school. Mostly boring with one fun activity. The bell was right about to ring to signify that it was sixth grade lunch. "Don't get out of your seats yet," Ms. Owen, the teacher, told us. "Wait until the bell rings so that I can dismiss you."

Only a second after she said that, the bell rang. "Have a good lunch!" She smiled and waved at us all as we hurried outside.

I looked around just to see everyone ignoring me. Everyone was my friend, right? Why were they all just ignoring me? I sighed and sat on the wall next to a group of my 'friends', hoping that they would invite me to sit and eat with them at their table. All I got from them were weird looks. I frowned and began to eat my lunch, terribly confused about what was going on.

Towards the end of lunch, the girls from P.E. walked up to me. "Hello!" I cheerfully greeted, happy that someone was talking to me.

"Stalker," one girl whispered to the others with a giggle.

"Stalker," another girl grinned at me.

"Uh, what?" I asked them, confused as to what they were talking about. "What about a stalker?"

"Jonathan is a stalker!" A third girl shrieked, catching everyone's attention.

Immediately, I could feel nearly everyone's attention on me. "No I'm not! I'm not allowed to go outside of my house!" I tried to justify myself to no avail.

Everyone began whispering about me and giving me looks. This wasn't the kind of attention I wanted. Why do bad things always happen to me? I just wanted to make friends! Tears gathered in my eyes but I quickly schooled myself and forced them to go away. I turned back to my lunch and finished it up.

The moment I was done, I walked over to where my seventh period class would be. Once class had started and we had all sat down, the teacher began talking. Instead of paying attention like I should have, I was thinking over everything that had happened. Did that evil side of me come out again without me knowing it? I was naturally a nice person but... my evil side would take over and ruin everything for me.

A sigh escaped my mouth as I began drawing on another page in my notebook. This one was yet another semi-decent picture but it was of some guy in an owl mask. The bell rang right as I finished the drawing so I quickly packed up my stuff and hurried to the front of the school. My dad was waiting for me and the moment I was next to him, he 'playfully' slapped my head. "About time you got here," he laughed and led me to his car.

"School just got out though!" I tried to defend myself. "We're not allowed to run!"

My dad ignored me and we entered his white car. "How was your day at school?" He asked and began driving back home once I had buckled myself in.

"Uh, well..." I tapped my fingers against the dashboard. "Everyone in sixth grade but Daniel seems to hate me..."

"Oh really?" My dad glanced at me and rolled his eyes. "You're eleven years old Jonathan. You should know better than to lie. If people are ignoring you, it's not because they hate you."

"But-" I tried to say.

"Shut up Jonathan. You need to stop fucking over-reacting! Learn to act your age!" He scolded me and turned his full attention back to the road. "Keep it up and I'll have to start whipping you again."

I immediately shut my mouth and faced the window. They did hate me though! Or at least, it seemed like it. Why were none of my former friends talking to me anymore except Daniel? Tears gathered once more in my eyes.

You've had it easy kid. Don't worry though, I'll be your friend.

I looked around but couldn't see the source of the voice so I shrugged. Who was that? Was I hearing things again? Probably because it seemed that everything I saw or heard was just me over-reacting.

I'm in your head.

'Oh. Uh, well if you want to be my friend then I should at least get your name.'

The name's Delirious and I think that we will become very good friends.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tada! Delirious or Jonathan or whatever you wish to call him's first day of sixth grade! The day that Delirious finally gained enough power to make himself verbally know. Or mentally verbally. Whatever.

Soundboards are also fucks. I was in a GMod Murder game and I heard familiar voices. It didn't take long for me to recognize it as Lui and Nogla. It also didn't take long after my initial spazzing to realize that it was a soundboard. So yeah, soundboards are awesome but fuck them.

Hey guys, Cat here! Currently watching Mini as he talks to a camera, shoves Oreos in his face, and tells a story about some poor kid who deep-throated a banana. To be honest, I would do it if someone asked me... THE BANANA DEEP-THROATING THING, NOT WHAT YOU WERE PROBABLY THINKING. Anyways, I just want to say that seeing this story coming so close to hitting 500 views is quite nearly breath-taking. Like deep-throating a banana. I would also like to thank you guys for giving this story 50+ votes! Better wrap this up because I have to go to a magical place that some hate and others love. Just remember! Peace!
