Familiars

For as long as mankind can remember, they've had the ability to bond with creatures that they have called Familiars. No one knows where they came from, but they have the ability to take on a human form, or the form of an animal. At first, the discovery of these creatures scared humans, and they vowed to destroy every last one of them. But over time they have created a sometimes uneasy alliance with them.

They are called Contracts.

Familiars have the choice to form a Contract with a human, if they so desire, which forms a special bond between the pair. Contracts can involve anything and everything, and is agreed upon by the human and Familiar involved.

But Familiars are starting to disappear again. Dark forces are at work as a three way battle for "Familiar rights" is about to unfold and threaten to destroy everything in it's path.
