This was a story that happened a hundred years ago, slightly before Fairy Tail was formed.

Magnolia's West forest...

That was where

We met by chance.

He was suffering from the Ankhseram Curse...

A curse that toyed at the fates of others by robbing them of their lives.

But I was intrigued by him.

He taught me most of my magic.

At that time, Magnolia was under controlled by a dark guild. And we had to learn magic as fast as we could to free Magnolia from them,

That was when it happened, in the midst of battle.

I used a black magic spell that was still incomplete, but we won anyways.

However, the price I had to pay was a body that stopped aging.

I didn't think much of it back then.

April, year X686, Fairy Tail is formed.

It was time when the lords were in feud over their trading rights.

The second trade war was about to start.

Guild wizards were roped into the war as soldiers for these lords.

Year X690.

The end of the second trade war.

The number of those injured  and the death count were 10 times larger than the first trade war.

It was said that the reason behind this was the wizard guild interventions.

That was when the world of magic decided that guild's could no longer wage war or be a part of any war by drafting a treaty.

The treaty states that all guilds should no longer have the means to, or be part of war, regardless of the reasons.

With that, a short era of peace dawned upon the world of magic.

I met him agin with pure confidence.

"Mavis.." Zeref said in surprise. "Ah! Mr. Black Wizard from before!" I said in excitement as I ran to him.

"Woah! Wait! Don't you remember I'm cursed!" Zeref warned me as I ran to him. "Of course!" I said. "Then don't-"

I cut him off, by hugging him. (<3)

"We won because of you back then and because of you, I saved my friends." I said as I hugged Zeref.

"Zeref?! That black wizard?!" I yelled in surprise. "You're him?!"

"That's why I never wanted to tell you my name," Zeref said. "The one that lived over 300 years?!" I said in surprise. "Yeah... Was it that long though..." Zeref smiled.

"But You're nothing like what people say you are." I said. I had known him for a little while. From my point of view, he's nice.

"Oh, the bad ones huh? Those are mostly accurate though." Zeref smile. "There's no way that's true!" I said, loudly.

"You have very kind eyes. And I don't believe those rumors" I smiled at him, kindly. "Such innocence." Zeref commented.

"Oh yeah, do you still remember Yury?! He's going to be a father soon!" I said, with joy and excitement. "That boy, a father?" Zeref asked.

"Well, it's been 10 years since then..." I said, sadly.

"But you haven't changed at all since then." Zeref smiled. How could he smile?! "Ah... This body... Yeah." I frowned.

"It was the price I had to pay for using incomplete black magic 10 years ago." I looked down at my body. Then continued, "But I don't regret my choices, after all, it saved my friends"

"You used "Rou"?!" Zeref yelled at me, making me flinch. "It's the curse of Ankhseram! The more you don't want to take a life, the more it'll..." Before Zeref could speak anymore, I cut him off. "Nonsense!" I yelled. I then noticed I yelled and calmly signed.

"I... Nobody around me... Has died yet." I looked down. This is creepy!

"Well, not now but.. I see there was a war a while back, wasn't there... Wars make you see lives in a different way... Maybe that's why you haven't noticed it quite as much." Zeref said. I got angered by this. I wanted to say so many things to him, but nothing came out.

"That's!.... I" I tried to argue. "You don't know the true meaning behind taking a life." Zeref said, no longer smiling. (Asshole)

"And once you find out.. Everyone around you will disappear." Zeref said.

"The power to walk aside me." Zeref smiled.

I don't believe this! Not at all! I continue to run.

'You really don't know how precious life is.' I remembered those words he said to me. Life is precious! Important! I know!

I do know! I started to cry even harder than before. That the lives of the friends I love are precious!!

Yury's child, Makarov, is born.

"Oh!!!"

"You've done so well, Rita!" Yury smiled. "How cute!!" I smiled.

"You didn't have to go out of your way to give birth in the guild you know..."

"Yeah, well... Rita insisted..." Yury smiled, looking at Rita who was still panting.

"I want this child to grow up with the guild's love..." Rita smiled. "Master, could you do us the Honor of naming this child?" Rita asked, hold the child.

"M... Me?!" I yelled in surprise. Of all the the people it had to be me!

"Please Mavis..." Yury smiled at me. "Pippoco?" (I swear, I was about to put Picoyo)

"I don't think we'd be able to think of any decent names..."

I then looked down at the child then smiled. "Makarov... It's the name of this kind Prince I read about in a book I read quite a while ago." I said, smiling at everyone.

"That's a lovely name." Rita said. That's odd. Her voice is quite different from before. As if it's... Fading. What's going on?

"Makarov!" Yury picked up the baby with a giant smile.

"But Pippoco..."

"Makarov! I see, that's what you'll be called from now on!"

"Gaaa!~" Baby Makarov spoke. "For this child's future..... We.." Rita suddenly grabbed Mavis hand. (NUUUU)

"Have to hold hands." Just as Rita made hand contact with Mavis, she suddenly past away, Making Mavis startled.

"Rita! Hey, what's wrong?!"

"She used to many energy during birth!" This is all my fault! No! This is all my fault!!

"RITA!!! RITAAA!!!!" (When I was typing this, my prediction thingy changed it to Retard 0_0)

I then fell. My legs gave up on me from shaking. I then started to cry. I finally realized it. I took Rita away from everyone.

I need to die! I don't want to take anyone's lives!

I then screamed, causing everyone's attention. Then running away from the guild.

"Mavis!"

A curse of Contradiction. The more you love life, the more it will steal from those around you. But if you stop loving, then it will stop taking as well.

"I was like you once. Hm... In fact I'm still hoping for the day to Be able to die. But I've learnt to look at things differently now." Zeref said.

"We have an infinity amount of time." Zeref said. "I've created these demons, called the Etherious. They have powers beyond the human so they could END me. But I am not sure if they could kill me."

"A country?" I asked. This guy....

"I'm still trying to build and expand the land."

"That's the reason I live to die. I want to see my brother. No! I want to destroy him. No! Please destroy me!" Zeref said. (In San it Y.)

I then run to hug him. "But I won't!" I said, hugging him. "I'll accept all of you." I said. I know what he has and is now.

"The only one who understands how you feel is me." I said. "So don't give up. We'll find the cure together."

There are only the amount of 6 Dragon Slayers in the whole entire world. When they met their dragon, it was in a different era. Meaning, The chosen dragon slayers time traveled to the era they are now currently in. READ 400 YEARS
