Dan was forty two.

He was sure it was only due to his glee, but he could've sworn the only colour he saw was pink. Pink here, pink there, everything was pink, because the baby was a girl.

Nearly a year ago, he and Phil had decided to have a serogate child. Just a little while ago, she had finally been born. As soon as they heard the news, the couple rushed to the hospital and walked in almost just as soon as the baby was passed to her mother. The woman smiled at them as they entered the room and proudly showed them their new child.

There was no way to describe her but perfect. Her eyes were a beautiful sparking blue, just like Phil's. Once she saw them standing there, she had shot the two a cheerful dimpled smile almost identical to Dan's. It was unbelievable that she was such a perfect mix of the two of them, but of course no one was complaining.

After a little while of holding the newborn and talking to her mother, they agreed that Dan and Phil would be able to take her home as soon as they possibly could.

Which was why that day, Dan walked out smiling into a pink world.
