DAX MARTIN PLAYED BY AUSTIN BUTLER
Rey walked off the set swiftly, ignoring the constant dings erupting from her phone. She was suppose to meet Dax within ten minutes and since filming had just finished her only options was to run most of the way there. Her last scene had ended which also meant that first part of the season was over and she was going to be able to get this thing done and over with.
Honestly, she never even wanted to see or hear of another Dax in her life but here she was going to meet her asshole of an ex boyfriend, call it morals or just the year and a half that they actually spent together, but she had to at least let him explain himself. It was her pesky conscious that reared its head when texting the boy but she had agreed to meet him and talk.
The brunette felt awful for not telling anyone but she knew there was no point in worrying everyone, especially Grant. She would tell him later, reassure him that she was here for only him. For now though, she was going to give Dax the benefit of the doubt.
The brunette cursed, realizing that at the most she was going to be able to talk with her ex for about forty-five minutes, an hour if he was lucky considering she still had to go home and change for her date. Mentally Rey rolled her eyes at herself as she realized that it was stupid for her to be meeting her ex and her current boyfriend all in one night, especially since there were already rumors circulating about her and Grant. Luckily, it seemed like Vancouver wasn't overly crowded with people trying to snap pictures of her every movement and people very rarely knew her face.
The girl stepped into the cafe she was suppose to be meeting the blonde haired man, seeing him sat upon the outside tables with a sandwhich placed in front of him and a basket of tortilla chips and salsa at the table. There was a beer on his side of the table, one of which he was about to take a drink from before his eyes caught site of the brunette stepping towards him.
He quickly stood, a smile gracing his gorgeous face, damn he was such a beautiful asshole, Rey thought. However, she quickly realized no matter how attractive she found him the girl still preferred brunette with cute moles scattered across his skin. And green eyes were better then blue eyes.
"Rey!" Dax said joyfully, extending his arms for her to step into the hug.
The girl pursed her lips, moving around his hug and taking the new beer on the table before sitting down and nodding at him, "Dax."
She took a sip of the alcoholic beverage, watching as he realized maybe it wasn't the right moment for him to be so affectionate, his arms quickly dropping. The once bright smile on his face nothing more then an embarrassed grimace as he realized she was in control here, Rey Montenegro had the power over him.
"I guess, this is where I start explaining myself isn't it?" He shyly stated.
The girl taking another swig of the beer and falling back into the chair without another word.

"Where is she?" Grant's worry once again showed as he attempted not to panic over the fact his girlfriend was gone and she wasn't answering her phone nor anyone else's.
Rey had disappeared the moment filming had wrapped, not a trace of her left as she would usually be perched atop his car, swinging her legs with a grin upon her face as she waited for him. Now, it was different, he hadn't even gotten a message from her saying she was okay. He groaned, remembering the last time he had spoken to her was when she was getting fake blood splattered across her outfit and she had joked about showing up to their date in that exact way, he would have never guessed she would have disappeared after that.
He sighed, leaning back and remembering the exact moment panic set in, the cast and crew wanting to go get a drink in celebration but when they went to find it she wasn't in site. Grant had immediately neglected any activities and went to her apartment to make sure she was okay, maybe it had been a stomach flu or she had gotten sick but no trace of her being home was noticed.
Now his question was more of a frustrated yell, his body slumping into the warm sofa of his best friends living room. Said best friend, who was Carlos by the way, seemed to care little for his cousins sudden disappearance. In fact, the boy was too busy playing an intense game of Calm Of Duty to even give enough emotion. "Dude relax, she's fine. If there is anyone who can take care of themselves its Rey, she's probably eating or something. I don't fucking know, she will call us eventually."
"What if she doesn't though? We have less then an hour until our date and I still haven't heard a single world from her." Grant shot back, narrowing his eyes at his friends attitude. "Will you quit paying attention to the game and actually think about this. When has Rey ever done this?"
"A lot," Carlos snorted. Not moving from the game. "She use too go off all the time as teenagers, it's just something she likes to do. Rey can be completely fine but she likes her time to think in peace and with all the press and work we've been doing the last couple of weeks I'm imagining she wanted some time to herself and an ice cold tea. I can't tell you how many times she's done this to abuela and I, one of the many reason I installed a tracker on her phone."
"YOU HAVE A TRACKER ON HER PHONE!" Grant jumped in, looking at his best friend who had casually spoken.
Carlos jumped, effectively loosing the ability to hold the controller and dropping it to the ground where it clattered. The screen showed his character being shot multiple times before he died. Carlos turning around and looking angrily at Grant, "OH MY GOD! You killed me! THAT'S IT! COME ON!"
Grant watched as Carlos walked around him, grabbing his set of keys he had dropped onto the counter when walking in. "Where are you going?"
"To find Rey! I am not putting up with your needy shit! Come on I'll track her on the way!"

"So... are we good?"
Dax had spoken for about ten minutes straight, apologizing for all the shit he had done and then continuing to do so the duration of their time together. Rey had listened for the most part, having been quite surprised to see the maturity her ex had accomplished. Truth be told she thought she would be dead before he would ever think he was the main problem of their relationship. He seemed genuine and sincere, even slightly less bitter but she didn't know if he was acting or truly meaning it. You see, Dax was pretty good at displaying emotions, Rey had been witness to the many times they had yelled at one another in a hotel room or limo and the moment anyone important looked their way Dax went from hothead to peacemaker.
She was barely thinking about it though because a bigger part of her was imagining Grant and Carlos who were probably worried for her. She had set her phone to silent prior to entering the restaurant, knowing that it was only a matter of time before it would be blasting with calls and messages. A huge part of her felt guilty for not telling Grant or Carlos but she just couldn't bring herself to say it or find a moment too so instead she had opted to wait until after the meeting was over.
Her eyes flashed back up towards Dax's baby blues, once again trying to decipher if there was a hidden meaning behind it, she sighed and nodded. A smile gracing her lips although it was more fake then anything, "alright. I guess since you apologized. It's nice to see you're coming to terms with reality Dax and I'm happy you saw the errors in your ways. I guess it takes two to tango though so I'm sorry for my part in the problems of our relationship."
Dax smiled, "I'm glad."
She nodded, looking around until her eyes caught site of one of the clocks against wall, noting she was running late. "Yeah, I have to go though. It was nice seeing you and talking, clearing the air. Maybe when I'm in LA we can meet up?"
Dax followed the brunette she she stood, his eyes briefly trailing over her shorts and plain tank top before nodding, "yeah, that's sounds good."
Rey barely acknowledged the way he checked her out, excitement brewing in her stomach at going on an actual date with Grant. She was going to get to see her man all dressed up and watch his eyes pop widely when he first caught site of her all dressed up.
Rey barely noticed how Dax had followed her out of the restaurant and into the street until his arm wrapped around hers.
Out of instinct she flinched away, stopping the frown that came to her face when she noticed his harmless smirk and the way both arms lifted in surrender. "Woah sorry, I was just gonna sleep for that hug."
Rey thought about his daring question, sighing before relaxing there was no harm in the small gesture and nodding her head.
The brunette walking into the embrace, not noting how behind her Grant and Carlos were just rounding the corner and Dax's smile turned into a devious smirk. His arms tightening around her, staring at both the boyfriend and cousin.
"I had a fun time Ray." He commented into her neck weirdly, his lips touching the smooth skin there to which the girl flinched back awkwardly.
"What the hell?" She questioned lowly, trying to pull back, but he wouldn't let her go.
"RAY!" Carlos yelled, gaining his cousins attention who was barely able to turn her head and catch site of a hurt Grant stumbling back. His green eyes were slightly glassed, fists tightening and teeth gritting.
Ray instinctively took a step forward, lips parting but no words escaping her. It want until Grant turned around and ran in the opposite direction did she tell out, "GRANT WAIT!"
But it was too late, he was already down the street and Carlos followed suit with a shake of his head and pursed lips.
Ray heard a deep laugh from behind her, her brown eyes going from tearful to blazing as she saw him take amusement from her situation.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" She yelled, watching as he continued to double over and laugh with giggles.
"Oh, that was just too easy. I told you Rey, no one was going to love you like I did. You make them all run out," he taunted her between laughs, standing once more at his full height.
Dax was tall, built like a swimmer and anyone would have been intimidated. Except Rey wasn't, in fact, she was the only person who didn't car who he was or how tall she stood because all it took was one good swing of her hand to knock him down right under her.
In a blink of an eye she swung her fist out, the sound of flesh connecting with flesh ringing out loudly but that didn't deter her. Dax went to cradle his throbbing jaw, leaving him exposed as Rey didn't waste a second to connect her knee right below the belt and force him to topple over.
There were gasps from those around her, some stopping to wince at the actual sounds of pain emitted but Rey didn't seem to care. The brunette barely even glanced at her former boyfriend, turning around and jogging in the direction of Grants home.
