Chapter Eight: In a Flash

A compilation of memories to enjoy~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Denki is giggling as he places the clearly fake roach on the kitchen counter, sauntering away to record his new papa's reaction. He's been adopted for a few months at this point, and knows that Mic loves pranks. He's a good sport about them, while Aizawa and Shinso are a lot more reserved. He snickers as he hears Mic's whistles down the hall, rounding the corner to the kitchen. He freezes in place the moment he sees the plastic bug on the counter, eyeing it like it's a villain. He focuses on it, his eyes widening, and Denki can tell Mic knows it's not a real bug. Mic backs away into the hall and Denki can hear the door to the broom closet open and shut, coming back into view with the new broom Aizawa had just bought yesterday after a game of pirates gone too fun. Without warning, Mic raises the broom.
"YOU COME INTO MY HOUSE ON THE DAY I AM TO SLEEP IN AND ASK TO LIVE!!! DIE YOU DISRESPECTFUL SCUM!!!" Denki noticed Mic had a smile as he screamed this, whacking the broom down on the counter and the fake bug so hard it snapped in half. Denki fucking lost it and collapsed to his side, clutching his ribs and crying. Mic is also laughing his ass off, on his knees, he's crying at his own American movie references. That's the scene Aizawa, Shinso, and Eri walk down to, much to Aizawa's annoyance at the fact he needs to go buy ANOTHER broom.
~
Denki put the speaker in the common room kitchen cabinet, fully aware that Bakugo rarely went into that particular cabinet. He then sat back at the island and continued eating his cereal when Bakugo sauntered downstairs in his uniform. He was planning on making a quick omelet for breakfast and went about getting the ingredients. The common area was sparse, many more of Class A had yet to wake up at that point. Denki snickered as he strategically picked a scream similar to the ones of the actress in the horror movie they had watched as a class last night. He connected his phone to the speaker and waited for Bakugo to attempt to crack the egg before playing it all full volume. Bakugo exploded the egg and jumped two feet in the air, getting the mixture on his shirt. The few people who were in the common room: Tokoyami, Iida, and Tsu, all also jumped. Bakugo groaned and turned to Denki, who smirked.
"Gotcha," he winked as he ate another bite. That's when he felt the wetness of the exploded egg whack him at the top of the head. Bakugo proceeded to grab a small bag of flour and also threw it at Denki. Denki pleaded for help, but the three all turned away with only Dark Shadow giving him a thumbs up and a snicker. The two wrecked the kitchen with their flour and egg war.
~
Denki was right outside the therapy gym, watching Bakugo as he took another step through the huge viewing window. He was currently in physical therapy after the second war, some of his nerves got fried in the final battle. New heart be damned, he was still struggling on the parallel bars. Bakugo looked at Denki, who clapped for him with a bright smile. He put his hand down, taking one of the microphones that allowed him to be heard in the gym.
"You're fucking doing it, Katsuki! You're doing it! Keep going a little longer! Plus Ultra!" Normally the whole squad was there, but this time it was just Denki. He wished the whole squad could have seen him do his steps without his walker, but he had Denki. His ruby eyes widened and his pained scowl turned into a smirk. He took a few more steps intently before the therapist took notice of Denki's ability to drive Bakugo. He looked at Denki and gestured for him to come inside. Denki did as told and the doctor placed him at the end of the exercise.
"Encourage him a little more," he instructed, Denki nodded curtly.
"Come on, Kat! You're too fucking awesome to quit now! You're going to be at the top, Katsuki, you gotta keep working! You got this! I'm right here! You just need to make it to me! You're so close!" he began clapping, "Dy-na-might! Dy-na-might! Dy-na-might!!!" Bakugo felt his pain melt as Denki cheered for him. He looked at Denki, saw how the hospital windows let in just the right amount of sunlight to illuminate him, "DY-NA-MIGHT!!!" he cheered. Bakugo had a sudden burst of strength and energy, and without using the rails to his sides, made his way to Denki and enveloped him in a hug. Denki began crying and hugged him back, jumping with glee, "YOU DO IT!!! SEE!!! YOU DID IT!!! ALL MIGHT WILL BE SO FUCKING PROUD!!!"
Bakugo felt his eyes fog as he was gently set back into his wheelchair by Denki. He looked at Denki, who had tears down his rosy cheeks, hands clapping happily, with nothing but a pair of jeans and a stupid homemade shirt with the words 'DYNAMIGHT IS #1' on it. It was really at that point that Bakugo knew damn well that he loved Denki more than just a friend. Denki was now the owner of his heart, his soul, and his life.
~
Aizawa, Mic, Bakugo, and Denki had all gone out to celebrate Denki's birthday. Normally, Shinso and Monoma would come, but they had just moved in together and Denki didn't want to push them. So, they all decided to do some drunk karaoke and BBQ. The night was going good as far as the two quieter partners were concerned, Bakugo and Aizawa gave Mic and Denki each the most loving looks their faces could muster. Denki and Mic had together blown through a few bottles of wine and a case of beer, and were drunkenly singing to some American song neither man could name. It was some pre-quirk era song, by some girl named Billie Eyelash or something. It wasn't so much the song as it was the dancing that made the two blondes so happy. They kept tripping over each other and laughing, messing up the lyrics in the process. Bakugo supposed he looked a little too drunk, because Aizawa, ever the dad, put a sturdy hand on his shoulder.
"Are you ok? Feeling sick?" Bakugo shook his head.
"Nah, just admiring my idiot blonde,"
"That idiot blonde is still my son, Bakugo,"
"Yeah, I know," Bakugo put his face in his hands, "but he's still mine at the end of the night. We'll leave here in a cab together, leave our car like responsible adults, go home to our apartment, with our things inside, and snuggle in our bed or on our couch until we fall asleep in a pile of intertwined limbs. I never liked the concept of sharing until I met Denki, he never would've seemed like one to understand boundaries. But, not only does he establish them and understand them, he knows when or when not to cross them. He's smart, and funny, and bright. And..." Bakugo sighed deeply, staring at Denki, "and he's mine," his arms folded onto the table and Bakugo's head followed. That dreamy look turns Aizawa to goop, and he simply huffs a smirk from his lips.
Aizawa knew what puppy love was, he knew what the honeymoon phase was, he knew what temporary love was. Gazing at Bakugo, who had so much softening adoration in his normally sharp eyes, he knew this wasn't a fling. It was the same way Hizashi would look at him when alone, even to this day. Aizawa knew that Bakugo and Denki were just like Mic and he.
Bakugo was Denki's soulmate.
~
Denki fixed Kenji's shirt as they prepared to go over to the Aizawa-Yamada household for their weekly dinner. Denki had asked Mic to set an extra setting, as he would be bringing a guest. Kenji looked nervous, but Denki reminded him that they were going to meet his grandparents, Uncles, and Auntie, and that they were all super nice and all heroes. Kenji gulped, making a brave face as Katsuki got him buckled in the car seat. The drive was uneventful, safe for Denki's singing, which Kenji loved. After pulling up to the house, Denki turned around.
"Would you like for Papa, or Daddy to hold your hand as we go in?" Kenji looked before gesturing to both of them with open palms. Bakugo chuckled and Denki nodded, "alrighty, both it is," Bakugo turned off the engine and grabbed the bag with their dessert while Denki undid Kenji and did one last fix for his outfit. Bakugo joined them, clasping Kenji's other hand as the three walked to the door. Before Bakugo could even knock, Mic threw open the door, startling Kenji.
"About time you guys got here!!!" he screamed happily before his green eyes laid on Kenji, "who is this little listener?!" he knelt down to be eye level to Kenji.
"Kenji, you don't need to be shy, sweetie," Denki encouraged softly. Kenji looked up at Denki, nodded, and turned to Mic.
"I'm Kenji, these two are my Papa and Daddy. It is nice to meet you," Mic's eyes widened and he shot straight up. Bakugo chuckled and gestured to the inside of the house.
"Can we come in, grandpa?" Mic moved to the side, allowing the three in, before shutting the door and staring at Kenji. Aizawa and Shinso were on the kitchen island, drinking some beers while Eri was on the couch with Monoma.
"Who's the kid?" Shinso asked.
"Your nephew, so be nice, Eyebags," Denki knelt by Kenji to take off his light jacket.
"Kenji, over there is your Uncle Toshi, Uncle Monoma, Auntie Eri, and Grand Zawa," Eri squealed and ran over, picking him up.
"Oh! You are too freaking cute! What a sweet face and pudgy baby cheeks! I'm Auntie Eri!" Aizawa's eye twitched and Hitoshi looked like he was about to combust. Monoma took it in stride, walking up to him with a shy smile.
"Cute, indeed! Such an adorable outfit too! No doubt Denki picked it," winking at Denki, who giggled at Bakugo's fashion taste. For someone raised by a designer and model, he still didn't know how to dress sometimes.
"I'll have you know I picked this out after asking my parents about proper baby attire!" Bakugo stated proudly, his chest puffed out. Mic, finally getting over the shock, jumped up with glee.
"Oh my God!!! I'm a grandpa!!!" he said over and over, spinning and twirling. Aizawa simply got up and went to the liquor cabinet, and began to chug a bottle of freshly cracked open vodka. It didn't matter if he drank the whole thing, that man had an iron liver. He would still be sober as he met his grandchild. The buzz never hit him, Aizawa was immune to liquor, regardless of grade.
~
Bakugo held the ring in his pocket, gulping as he parked his car in Aizawa's driveway. He knew both the heroes got home within the past thirty minutes after visiting Denki in the hospital. It hurt his heart to think about that, and he tried his best to wave away those feelings of dread. He couldn't focus on those right now, not when he had to ask for Aizawa and Mic's blessing. Sure, he had Ereku and Venus' blessing, but the blessings of his former senseis and future in-laws would hold just as much weight. He turned off the car and walked up the pathway, reminded of all the times he's walked up this pathway before the two moved in together. He knocked on the door, surprised when Eri opened it.
"Baku-nii, what a surprise! Papa, Daddy, Baku-nii is here!"
"I told you, Eri, call me Katsuki-nii. You're more special than some fan on the streets," Bakugo explained as he was let in. Mic and Aizawa had just gotten settled with some mugs on the couch. Mic had been crying, it was obvious.
"Oh, would you like a mug of tea, Bakugo? We were just about to watch Princess and the Frog," Mic asked as tears welled up again, "it's his favorite, butterfly tea with lemon and honey," Bakugo shook his head.
"No thank you, it looks like you two just got settled. Before you start the movie, there was something I wanted to talk to you two about," Aizawa and Mic seemed to stiffen, "All good things, I promise," he quickly assured them. The two relaxed and nodded, letting Bakugo sit on the love seat while Eri sat next to Mic.
"What do you need to talk about, Bakugo?" Aizawa questioned.
"I want your blessings to marry Denki," the two were silent, "that stupid medic cost Denki time, all because we weren't official. And it got me thinking, what if one day, this happens again. What if Denki or I get injured abroad or in some tiny town, where they'll only allow family? I can't afford to stall this time in our lives, I would never forgive myself if I had to cost Denki time that he could spend with me or getting life saving surgery. I need to marry him, not just because I love him, but because I need to assure myself that every moment we have on and off the field, he has time. And," Bakugo began to tear, "I'm losing so much time right now, because he nearly died on that damn table, because of some asshole who thought I needed to get consent from Hitoshi to ride with my own partner," His tears began to fall, "It's my fault, I've postponed this for so long thinking that we had all the time in the damn world. But, now, everytime I go see him and his beautiful sleepy face, I just cry because I realized too late that we don't have time," Bakugo fell from the chair and got on his knees, "please, please let me have Denki's hand in marriage,"
To his surprise, Aizawa was the one who knelt down and hugged him tightly. Bakugo hugged him back, tears between the two men making a small puddle on the carpet. Aizawa simply nodded, while Mic kept shouting 'yes' over and over. Eri, who had pulled out her phone and started recording this entire thing to play at the wedding, sniffled as she pressed end.
~
The wedding planning had been stressful for Denki, mostly in part of who would walk him down the aisle. He had been debating for a few weeks, not wanting to leave any of his parents out of the question. He figured he could make the decision next week, and went to Aizawa and Mic's house for some tea and relaxation with Kenji. Kenji was happy to get to spend time with his Popsy Mic and Grand Zawa, so imagine their surprise when Mic said that Aizawa was in his room and needed some quiet time. They spent twenty minutes together before Denki felt the need to go up there. He gave Mic a knowing look and excused himself, to which Mic gave a simple nod and a smile. Denki made his way upstairs and towards his parents' bedroom, when he heard Aizawa crying. Ever since Class 1A weaseled their way into his heart, the man had become such a softie. Denki immediately opened the door and shut it behind him, going straight to the crying lump under the covers of the dark room.
"Dad," Denki spoke softly as he sat beside him, "Dad, what's wrong? Are you in pain anywhere?" he put his hand on the quaking form, only for Aizawa to move away, "does this have anything to do with the wedding?" he asked, and Aizawa stayed quiet, "maybe it has to do with who's walking me down the aisle," a little jolt, yep, that was the problem, "dad, it doesn't matter who walks with me. You and Papa will always be my dads too! I could never replace you guys! It doesn't matter that my bio dad is in my life, or that his family is also my family, because you, Papa, Toshi, and Eri are my family too! Nobody on the planet, not even my biological dad, will ever replace you as the man who saved my life! Or the man who made me a hero! Or the man who makes the best coffee! Or the man who gives the most awesome snuggles!" Denki laid down next to the lump, facing it, "nobody will ever replace you as my first dad, because you are the first real father in my life, and you will always be that hero who saved his student and gave him the best life he could've asked for," Denki smiled softly and gently pulled the covers off Aizawa's face, "I love you, dad," Aizawa burst into a silent sob and cuddled Denki into a hug. The two laid there, ultimately helping Denki make his final decision.
~
It was a rare occasion, but Denki and Bakugo were on patrol together. It was an emergency Saturday patrol that quickly derailed their plans. They had originally had this weekend off to spend time together. Between wedding appointments, meetings, patrols, and hobbies, the two had been packed. Added to the fact that Princess discovered plush things have stuffing and coming home to needing a new couch while Kenji drew on the walls was also a very unpleasant experience. The two had been stressed, but at least they had this patrol together. When it was over, they could just go home and spend the rest of their days off relaxing on the fixed up couch. Kenji was at Mic and Aizawa's, Denki had no papers to grade or streams to do, and Bakugo had no interviews, reports, or media events. This patrol was all Denki had to get through.
But, following a domestic dispute in front of a shop, it all became too much for Denki. The woman, who owned the shop, was trying to be left alone by her ex, who kept coming to the shop to try to talk to her. Many times during the altercation did it nearly get physical, but it was mostly loud arguments as they tried to tell each hero their respective side of the story. Denki was lucky enough to get the woman, he could tell she was tense by the way she spoke. She ended up ranting about how her shop was suffering because of his constant intrusions onto her property.
When Denki looked up and saw it was a cake shop, his brain pulsed. It reminded him that they had until TOMORROW to tell their wedding planner which bakery they wanted to taste test from for their wedding cake, and they hadn't even discussed it! With school, work, and family time, both he and Bakugo had forgotten about the reminder their planner had sent a week prior. This planner wasn't so bad, but she was a stickler for deadlines. She would be angry if they postponed the answer the day before their scheduled meeting at some local brunch place.
At that point, the stress boiled over. Denki felt his muscles contract and his knees buckle, his dry mouth that tasted of iron attempting to slur out Bakugo's name before he just began seizing. The woman had caught him and screamed in shock, his body weight nearly taking her down. The scream made Bakugo turn, his eyes widened when he saw his partner seizing. He ran to his side and gently took him from her, sitting down and balancing him down. The guy knew what was happening and offered his jacket as a pillow for Denki's head so he could seize comfortably. Bakugo began timing the seizure and called in a medic to check him out at the scene. The ambulance had arrived a few minutes later, just as Denki's seizure began to let up. He was out of sorts for a minute, but the first coherent thing that came out of Denki's mouth made Bakugo want to weep.
"We-we don't know our b-bakery, we need to know for t-t-tomorrow. The p-planner said to p-pick out a bakery for our c-cake, our w-wedding cake. Sh-She needs to arrange a-a t-taste testing, " Denki's voice was quiet, he was still sore from seizing and he was in desperate need of a cold drink. Bakugo shushed him softly and held him in the back of the ambulance. When it came to light that his seizure was caused by stress, the commission, Nezu, and his fanbase allowed him some time off to relax with his child, fiance, and puppy. Bakugo also had a private discussion with the planner to let up on the deadlines, or she was fired.
She was too frightened to refuse.
~
Denki and Bakugo had been in the kitchen when they heard a loud crash sound from the living room. Denki, who was sitting at the counter, shot up and ran in immediately. Bakugo had been cooking, so he turned off the burner before running in. The two pros were gobsmacked to see that one of their bookshelves was gone, thus all the novels and knick knacks had clattered to the floor. They were even more shocked by the obscene amount of watermelon that was on their floor, currently being eaten by Princess. Then, there was Kenji, who was looking at his hands in awe. His eyes met his dads', and he smiled brightly.
"Papa! Daddy! I got my quirk! Look!" Kenji touched the coffee table, and it immediately turned into watermelon. Princess got excited and bumped into Kenji, making him touch her. However, Princess didn't turn into pieces of watermelon. Bakugo's eye twitched at the sudden mess, while Denki simply laughed and went to hug Kenji. After the two pros cleaned up, after Kenji attempted to help but accidentally turned the mop to watermelon, they took him to get his quirk assessed.
Kenji's quirk was watermelon! He could transform any inanimate object into watermelon. Looking back on it, Kenji's whole color scheme gave them watermelon vibes, they were surprised they didn't figure it out sooner. While Kenji was, in layman's terms, a late bloomer, having gotten his quirk at ten. His quirk was still amazing! But, he didn't have good control over his quirk. The two pros were constantly buying new furniture for the house.
Kenji had to wear training gloves and got plenty of help from Uncle Tenko until his quirk was under control.
~
Kenji held a pamphlet in his hands, nervous to go into his dad's office. Bakugo and Denki had their own offices, and right now, he was in front of Bakugo's. His dad, the number two hero, was currently doing some paperwork to finish up a case. Kenji's heart was beating rapidly as he heard the clicking of the keys on Bakugo's computer. He finally gulped and knocked, waiting for a response.
"Come in," Bakugo's voice was gruff, but soft. He was always soft in his own home. Kenji came in, his hands shaking as he hid the pamphlet behind his back. Bakugo looked up from his computer, rolling back in his chair and smiling. He took off his glasses and brushed his hair from his face, "whatcha need, squirt?"
"Um, Dad, I-I know I'm supposed to be looking at high schools right now. And, I want to apply for UA," Bakugo nodded.
"Should I write up a recommendation letter? Or would you like to earn your way into the hero course?" Kenji froze. He gulped and looked away, and Bakugo instantly picked up on the nervousness. Denki did the exact same thing when he was ashamed or scared, he avoided eye contact and kept quiet, "Kenji, tell me what's wrong. I know you're afraid," Kenji didn't get to say anything before Denki came in, looking at the scene.
"Did I disturb something?" he asked, looking at Kenji. He took notice of the pamphlet, "what's in your hands, honey?" Kenji clutched it close to his heart and began to tear.
"I-I want to go to UA-"
"Oh! I'll write up a recommendation letter then! It's too bad you won't be in my class tho! You'll end up in either Uncle Fumi or Uncle Tenko's class, they're getting the next round of first years,"
"I don't want to be in the hero course!" Kenji yelled suddenly, not looking at either of his dads. His outburst quieted Denki and startled Bakugo, Kenji was always so quiet and polite. Kenji, noticing his outburst, began to cry, "I-I'm sorry! I don't want to be a hero! I know that it must be so disappointing! I'm sorry! B-But, I wanna be a support hero! Uncle Iguchi said they build a lot of things and analyze a lot of quirks to utilize opportunity and create support gear! And, with my quirk, I don't think I could ever really be a hero! But, I still wanna help! I'm pretty smart, and I like designing gear and costumes! I even have a book filled with ideas! I'm sorry, Papa! I'm sorry, Daddy! I'm sorry if I disappointed you or-" Denki hugged Kenji and clutched him close.
"Oh, sweetie! It's ok! Being a support hero is super important! Support heroes are just as amazing and cool and respected as regular pros! Ever since Auntie Hatsume took over the support course, there have been so many fantastic support heroes with top of the line gear! She's going to be a fantastic sensei! And you're going to be a fantastic support hero!" Kenji looked at Denki with wide eyes.
"Y-you're not mad?"
"Why would we be mad, Kenji?" Bakugo questioned as he knelt by his side.
"Because I'm not going to be a hero like everyone else in the family,"
"Auntie Arlo is a florist, Auntie Sera is a teacher, Uncle Noah is a speech therapist, and Uncle Dean is a mechanic," Bakugo explains.
"Yeah! Don't forget about Uncle Kota! He's a firefighter!" Denki added, "Baby, you don't need to be a hero because we are! We want you to be happy in whatever life path you choose! If that means designing gear and costumes for heroes, then you design your precious heart out!" Kenji sniffled and hugged his dads.
The next few months, Denki would watch as Bakugo would help him study for the entrance exams. Having learned to work for what he dreams of, Kenji opted to take the support course exam. Having known Kenji since he was little, Nezu admired the fact he wanted to get in on his own.
Blood or not, he was his fathers' child.
~
Kenji did get into UA, which led to moments like this.
Denki, swamped in the kitchen, because he tried to make an extremely complicated dish for his and Bakugo's anniversary and ended up trashing the kitchen. The dish had so many components that poor Denki got overwhelmed and filled the sink to the brim with dishes. The food looked and smelt great, it was some fancy dish called a Beef Wellington. Denki had found a vintage cookbook from the pre-quirk era, someone named Gordon was apparently really famous for these. He looked up videos of the chef, fascinated by his recipes.
To say Gordon reminded him of Bakugo was insane, he was probably Bakugo's past life.
Anyway, the food turned out great! Denki had already set the table with their finest cutlery and bought their wedding champagne, lighting a few candles before running to make himself presentable. He settled on a white dress shirt and black dress pants. He topped the outfit with a frilly red apron and put his hair in a high ponytail. He came back out just as he heard the jingle of keys. He brushed his apron before running to the door, ready to welcome home his husband.
Bakugo, who was a tiny bit late, came in sweaty and gross. His mood seemed sour until he looked at the scene before him, his anger forgotten as his blonde idiot husband brought him into a tender kiss.
"Happy anniversary~ I made dinner~" Denki whispers. Bakugo can hardly breath, the aroma of spices is so nice and the mood is perfect. He flings off his shoes and sets the shopping bag down on the side table where they normally set their keys. Bakugo picks up Denki and twirls him, kissing him passionately.
"You are the fucking best, Denki," Bakugo speaks too soon, as the oven beeps and Denki realizes he left the dessert in the oven. The electric blonde squirms from Bakugo's grip and runs to the oven, slipping on a mit to take out the now burnt souffle. Denki groans and bangs his head against the counter. Bakugo sees the mountain of dishes and the burnt dessert, but still maintains a smile. Denki made all this effort just so they can spend their anniversary night in romance and peace.
"There goes dessert, I'm sorry Katsuki," Denki huffs. A part of him is happy he dropped off Princess at Aizawa and Mic's. The dinner sitting on the table would've been gone if he hadn't. Bakugo walked over and gave him a kiss on the neck.
"It's ok, I'll take you instead~" Bakugo kissed Denki's neck again. Denki moaned softly and laughed.
"Ok~ But, let's eat first," Bakugo nodded and the two ate their plates clean. Afterwards, Denki gave Bakugo the best dessert he's had in a very long time. After the dessert round turned into four rounds, Denki passed out. Bakugo chuckled, kissing his temple and tucking him in before scurrying off to do the dishes.
Bakugo and Denki had agreed to go to a studio to film a reaction video for a well known channel. It was meant to be a pro hero couple special, with the challenge of trying not to cry. Denki and Bakugo were doing well until the last video, when the opening of 'UP' played. Denki was tearing up, wiping his cheeks constantly. When it came to the part where Ellie died, Bakugo began to cry harder than anybody in the public had seen him cry. Normally, he'd try to preserve his ego, but not this time. Denki noticed the sadness and tried his best to make Bakugo smile, giving his hand a squeeze and leaning his head on the crook of Bakugo's neck. When the clip finished, Bakugo needed a minute to collect himself.
"This is my worst fear," Bakugo admitted to the camera, "I don't want you to leave me, I wouldn't be able to take it. I know I have Kenji, Princess, and our families. I know I have people who love me and care. But, Denki, my life is meaningless without you,"
"Katsuki," Denki whispered, tears welling up.
"I pray, every night, when I look at your drooly, sleeping face, you don't go first,"
"Well, I don't want to be alone either!" Denki tried to joke.
"You don't understand, I don't want that either," Bakugo sniffed before continuing, "if we're going out, we're going out 'Notebook' style! In bed, embracing each other, and God or Satan taking us together! We're a package deal!" Bakugo explains, causing Denki and the camera crew to laugh. When the video dropped, the press went crazy with the fact that grumpy, hard ass, angry Dynamight was into romance movies.
~
Denki's head laid on something firm, his elderly body weak, but his mind clear. Bakugo was right beside him, combing his calloused hands through his gray hair. He noticed that instead of the hospital pillow, Denki was laying on Bakugo's arm. Even in their old, retired age, Bakugo retained his muscle.
"We're a package deal," Denki whispered. Bakugo's eyes widened and a small smile graced his face. Tears formed in the corners of his eyes as he brought Denki closer.
"You remember that?" he whispered, brushing Denki's cheek. Denki nodded, smiling fondly. In his old age, his quirk had caused him to have Alzheimers. Oftentimes, he didn't even know who Bakugo was, or Kenji, or anybody. But, now, he remembered everything.
"Katsuki, I love you so much, no matter how often I forget," Denki kissed Bakugo's lips and settled himself as close as he could get, "you and Kenji made me complete, I hope in my next life, I can feel this happiness again," Denki closed his eyes.
"Me too, lightning bug," Bakugo kissed his head, wrapping his arms tightly around Denki, "I love you, Denki,"
Both of them went limp, intertwined in an eternal embrace.
