Yeper's 'close' friend.

It took me a little longer then usual to get home. But it was because was moving slow after my chat with Cinid that ended badly.

When I walked through the door, I sighed.

'Why do I have to be so clueless and stupid?' I thought. 'I should've known that Cindi was hurt before.'

I shut the door quietly, and sluggishly walked over to the living room floor to sit down and think.

I must've sat there for a few minutes, because I heard Yeper's voice:

"What are you doing?" She asked.

I turned around and looked at her. "I'm doing nothing."

Yeper nodded. "Yes. And you've been like that for at least two minutes. Do you just like sitting there?"

I looked away and exhaled slowly. "Yes, fine. Now please just drop it."

She stood there for a few seconds before coming over and sitting next to me. "Is something wrong? Was your day just not good?"

I didn't answer.

She rolled her eyes. "Fine. I'll tell you about my day then. So, I went to class as usual, and guess what? I caught Missy and Devin passing papers between each other! I then heard the gossip going around saying that they're a secret couple."

I just let her ramble. I didn't feel like talking much though.

"Yeah, and the food I ate at lunch? Gross! I found a bit of hair in there! I nearly threw my whole lunch away."

I decided to humor her by watching her as she spoke, so she could feel like I'm listening.

"Oh yeah! And we played some games at P.E. and um... I think that's it besides..." And then she did something I didn't expect.

She blushed.

I was now genuinely interested. I HAD to find out what made her blush to talk about.

"Besides what?" I asked her.

She looked at me with a bit of an awkward expression. "What? I-I didn't say anything..."

I tilted my head. "Uh, yes you did. You said besides... and then your cheeks turned red. I want to know what happened, that's all."

She stared at me for a couple seconds, and then got up. "You know, I'm feeling a bit hungry, so I'm just gonna go..."

I grabbed her front leg with my paw. "Nuh-uh. I want to know, and you're not leaving till you tell me. Or... I'll make you eat my cooking again."

She shivered noticeably. "Ok! Fine! Just don't make me eat your disgusting food!"

I chuckled with a most-likely wicked sound. "Ok, now spill the beans."

She huffed. "No one uses that phrase anymore."

I glared at her. "Stop stalling! Just tell me already!"

She leaned away from me. "Ok, ok. Sheesh. Pushy much? Alright, the reason I blushed when I almost mentioned something, was... that something happened to be..."

I listened closely; dying to know what I could use to taunt my sister.

"You know Henry right?"

I tried to remember something associated with that name. "Henry... yep. I know him... sorta. He's that guy I see but never talk to right? The quilava?"

Yeper nodded. "Yeah... well... you see Henry he..." The infamous blushed returned once more. "He kissed me..."

I nearly jumped up, and shook her to make sure she was telling the truth. "Kissed you?!"

Yeper nodded. "B-but not on the lips or anything! We aren't at that level... just, on the cheek."

I blinked. "Ok, well that's a bit better--No it's not! Why did Henry kiss you?! Is he perverted?!"

Yeper giggled and shook her head. "No, no. He's not. We've just known each other for two months now, and we're close friends too. Not girlfriend and boyfriend yet, but very close friends."

I breathed a small sigh of relief. "Ok. Well... why didn't you tell ya know, ANY OF YOUR FAMILY!?"

Yeper flinched when I raised my voice. "I... was worried that mom and you and Tendo would get over-protective, and stop anything like that cause you 'are looking out for me'."

I went to speak, but found out that I had nothing to say. She was right. We would get over-protective of her.

She nodded and looked down in shame and guilt. "I'm sorry. Please don't be mad."

I thought about the situation that she described, and my worry-induced frown turned into a smile. I proceeded to hug Yeper.

She seemed a bit surprised at my action. "Constan..?"

I withdrew. "Hey, don't worry. I'll try to appeal to Tendo's reasonable side, and mom's... side. I bet they'll let you, as long as they get to know Henry first."

Yeper still seemed like she was surprised. "You would do that? No getting mad, or making fun of me?"

I shook my head. "I'm not feeling like it. I'll try and make fun of you later though."

We both chuckled good-heartedly.

She smiled. "Well... now all three of us are on the same level."

I nodded. "I suppose... we all are."
