Cinder POV

"MY BABY HAS MAIDEN POWERS!!" I said happily, "Mama what are maten powers?" Ruby asked, it slowly dawned on me that this was both a blessing and a curse. "Oh dear Oum my baby has maiden powers." I said grimly, 'Is she going to drag Ruby into darkness like she did with me?!' I thought as I collapsed onto the couch, "Mama?" Ruby said in concern as she chewed on her thumb. "Mama's ok honey, I'm just tired that's all." I said as I picked her up and sat her down on my lap.

"Ruby can you tell me why you ran away?" I asked, she shook her head, "Did you know you scared Mama when you ran away?" I asked, she shook her head again, "Your not going to run away ever again right?" I said, "No, me sowy Mama." She said as she hugged me. "It's alright sweetheart." I said as I rubbed her hair gently. "How about you show Mama your new trick." I said sweetly, "Otay!" She said happily as she hopped out of my lap.

Ruby closed her eyes really tightly and tried her hardest to concentrate. Suddenly the red tips in her hair began to freeze. 'It looks like she only has about ten percent of the Fall maiden's power, but even that minuscule amount of power gives her a major advantage over nearly everyone not to mention the fact she has silver eyes.' I thought.

Yang POV

"Ok Yang what type of weapon do you want?" Mama Summer asked, "I...I don't know. Originally I wanted to be a brawler like Dad, but now I wanna be more like you guys." I said, "Then why not make a weapon that incorporates aspects of each of us, for example a pair of gauntlets that have retractable short swords and scythe blades as well as a gun. It's a bit more complex to build, but it'll keep you safe and make you happy." Mom said, "That sounds perfect! But can we add something else that will give me an edge in a fight?" I asked. "I don't see why not, what did you have in mind?" Mom asked.

Cinder POV

It's been almost three weeks since Ruby ran away and I had to leave for a "mission". "Ok Ruby you be a good girl for Mrs. Wukong now ok." I said, "Ok Mama!" Ruby said happily, "Thank you so much again Rose, I'd have her sister watch her for me, but she had to go to her dads house." I said.

"She had to go to her dads house" this was the lie we decided to tell Ruby. And technically we weren't completely lying to her, Neo really was gone. She had went back to Vale for a few weeks to help Roman.

"Oh it's no problem we love having Ruby around." Rose said, "I should be back in a week, but I packed her about two weeks worth of clothes just in case." I said, "Oh Cinder before you go why not have Ruby's father watch her?" She asked, "To put it simply because I don't trust him." I said, "Bye bye Mama!" Ruby said as she ran up to me and hugged my leg, "Bye bye Ruby doll I love you." I said as I hugged her and walked away.

Ruby POV

Its been almost four hours since Mama left and I already missed her, "RUBY!" A man yelled from down the street, I looked back and saw a scary scruffy man with a sword and a cape running towards me. I was terrified, suddenly Mama's words echoed in my mind, 'Ruby sweetheart don't uses your maiden powers while you're with Mrs. Wukong unless you absolutely have to.' that was what Mama told me before she left me with Mrs. Wukong. "RUBY WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!" The man said angrily as he grabbed me, "STOP IT WET ME GO!" I yelled, "Ruby let's go I'm taking you back home!" He said, "I SAID STOP IT!" I yelled as I burned his hand, "What the?!" He said in shock as he let me go, "Ruby how did you?" He said as Mrs. Wukong picked me up, I hugged her and began to cry, "I don't know who you are but you need to leave right now!" She said angrily, "Look lady just give Ruby to me so I can take her back to where she belongs." He said, "I want my Mama!" I cried, "Shhh it's ok Ruby you're not going anywhere until your mother comes and picks you up herself!" She said as she comforted me, "YOU HEARD HER LEAVE!" Sun yelled as he hit the man in the leg with a stick. "Come on kids we're going inside." She said as she carried me inside.

Cinder POV

I had just arrived at my "mission" site, or in other words the meeting site. "Cinder its been quite some time." Hazel said, "Hazel, I'm glad it's you who she sent and not Watts or Tyrian." I said as I gave the gentle giant a brief hug. "I'll be curt with you, Salem wants you back. " he said, "Hazel I cant, no I won't." I said, "That's a shame I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this." He said as he threw a picture of Ruby on the ground. "She's a cute little thing... it be a shame if something were to happen to her." He said, I couldn't speak or even stand for that matter. All I could do was collapse to my knees. "Wait four days before returning home." He said, "And Cinder you can't defend her from us... on your own." He said as he walked away.

Ruby POV

It's been almost five days since Mama left. Mrs. Wukong decided that it would be best for me to have an adult with me at all times until Mama returned. "Ruby doll." Mama said from behind me, "Can Mama have a hug?" She said sweetly, I ran to her and wrapped her in a tight, warm hug, "Mama!" I cried softly, "Hey baby girl it's alright. Mama made it home safe and sound." She said as I buried my face in her chest.

Cinder POV

"Ruby Stop it we have to get packed!" I said in annoyance towards the toddler who continually impeded any progress I made while packing by throwing everything out of the suitcase. "NO! If we weave then sissy Nee Nee will get lost!" She said as she sat in my now empty suitcase. "Honey Neo will be fine." I said, "NO! I WANT SISSY NEE NEE!" She shouted as I picked her up.
