Ruby POV

Mama, Sissy Nee-Nee, and I have been living in Vacuo for almost six months now, I've been practicing speaking and Mama says I'm getting better! But I still have a bit of trouble with a few words.

Our new house was similar to our old house except it had a basement, and a few more bedrooms and bathrooms.

"Where's Mama's big girl?" Mama said, "I'm wite here Mama!" I said, "No that's not possible, my baby girl couldn't possibly be that short." She said, "I'M NOT SWORT MAMA! I dwink my milk." I said, "Yes you do honey, yes you do." She said as she scooped me up, "Alright baby girl lets go home. Neo's got a surprise for you." She said.

"SISSY NEE NEE!!" I shouted as I ran to my big sister and hugged her leg, "Ruby I have a few questions for you." Mama said I released my sister and ran to Mama and climbed onto the couch with her, "Let's see, how much do you love our new house?" Mama asked, "Tis much!" I said as I spread my arms out a bit, "How much do you love Winter?" She asked, "Tis much!" I said as I spread my arms out wider, "And how about big sister Nee-Nee, how much do you love her?" She asked I spread my arms out even wider, "And how much do you love Mama?" She asked I spread my arms as wide as I could, Tis much!" I said, "That's good sweetie now can Mama get a kiss?" She asked, "Hmmm... No!" I said playfully, "Ok then I guess you won't mind if I let Neo eat all the cookies I bought for you." She said, "NOOO!! MAMA ME WANT THE COOKIES!" I said in horror that my mother would use the one thing I loved almost as much as her against me.

"Well Neo has been a good girl and only good girls get cookies." Mama said, suddenly I gave Mama a peck on the cheek, "Now was that so bad Ruby doll?" She asked, "Cookies?" I asked, "Hmmmm...No I don't think we have any cookies sweetie." Mama said.

I was crushed, I would rather die than go without my cookies! I need my cookies!

Cinder POV

"C...Cookies." Ruby muttered over and over again, "Ok baby girl knock it off it's not the end of the world if you don't have your cookies." I said, "END OF THE WORLD COOKIE!!!" Ruby shouted as she dove into the couch cushion and dug out an old fuzzy cookie that I wouldn't even let Qrow eat, and I hate Qrow! "Ahhhh." She said as she was about to take a bite of the couch cookie, "Oh no you don't!" I said as I took it away and threw it in the trash, "NOOOOO!!! COOKIE!" Ruby yelled in defeat, "Ruby that was barley a cookie at that point!" I said, "Your evil Mama!" She said with teary eyes, "Don't say that. You'll hurt Mama's feelings." I said, "EVIL MAMA! I HATE YOU!" She cried as she ran up to her room.

'You ok?' Neo wrote, "Yes I'll be fine, but that doesn't make it hurt any less." I said as Ruby slammed her door shut.

Ruby POV

"Yes I'll be fine, but that doesn't make it hurt any less." Mama said as I slammed my door shut after Winter ran inside. "Bye Bye Winter." I said as I put a few toys into my backpack and jumped into the tree outside my window.

"Hey, there are you lost, little girl?" A woman asked as she sat down a boy who appeared to be around my age.

"Hi my name's Moon, Moon Wukong." The boy said, "What's your name?" He asked, "R...Ruby, Ruby Fall." I said, "It's nice to meet you, Ruby, I'm Moon's mother Rose, now are your mother and father around here somewhere?" The woman asked I shook my head.

Cinder POV

"Ruby darling I think that's quite enough sulking. Honestly, honey, it's been three hours, why don't you come downstairs. Neo and I baked some cookies just for you." I said as I opened her door only to find her room empty all except for Winter asleep at the foot of her bed. "Qrow." I said coldly.

Ruby POV

"Wanna come home with us?!" Moon asked, "Honey her mother has to be worried sick about her!" Rose said, "But Mama it's going to be dark soon!" He said she sighed, "Alright, but we're going to return her to her parents first thing in the morning." She said as she took our hands and led us to her house.

"Not another one!" A boy said as he hung from a tree, "I'm still trying to get rid of the last stray you brought home!" He said as he dropped down in front of me. "Sun that wasn't very nice, now apologize to Ruby and your brother!" Rose said, "I'm sorry." He said.

"So she's only staying here for the night hugh, ok then that's cool." Sun said, "Ok everyone dinner's ready, Ruby do you need a high chair or will you be ok using a normal chair?" Rose asked, "Mama usually has me sit in a high chair." I said, "Ok then let's eat." She said.

Yang POV

"Um, Mom d...do you think you can help me make my weapon?" I asked nervously, "And why are you asking me?" Mom asked, "Cause your my mom and you love me." I said, "No that was Tai remember." She said, "Fine I'll do it myself! So much for making this a family thing." I said sadly, "Of course we'll help you Yang darling." Mama Summer said as she pulled on Mom's ear, "REALLY?!" Mom and I both asked in shock, "Yes really, I think it would be good for you Raven!" Mama Summer said, "But Summer!" Mom said, "Don't "but Summer me, she's our daughter and we're helping her with her weapon!" Mama Summer said.

Cinder POV

It's been almost nine hours since Ruby went missing. I couldn't help but feel that she wasn't taken by her father again.

"RUBY!" I called as I walked through the market, "MAMA!!" Ruby yelled as she ran over to me, "RUBY!" I shouted, "Mama." She said as she jumped into my arms, "So you're her mother. It's nice to meet you. I'm Rose Wukong." A woman said, "I'm Cinder Fall, are you the one who had my darling daughter?" I asked, "Yes, but only because when my son and I found her it was almost dark out." She said, "I don't know how to repay you. If I lost her again I don't know what I'd do." I said, "Well Moon and her seemed to have really hit it off, how about we let them have play dates." She said, "That sounds nice. I hope she didn't cause you any trouble." I said, "Oh don't worry she was a perfect little angel... well all except for the one incident she had where her hair caught on fire." She said, "Oh my Oum is she alright?!" I asked in shock as I looked for any burns. "It was the strangest thing. She acted as if she didn't even know or feel it, and it was only the red tip of her hair that burned." She said.

After saying our goodbyes I took Ruby back home.
