Ruby POV

"Ruby, I have a surprise for you." Mommy said as she entered my room holding something behind her back, "What is it Mommy?" I asked, "Take a look." She said as she revealed what she had hidden.

"PUPPY!!" I shouted happily, "Her name is Snow." She said as she sat the pup down, "She's so cute!" I said happily as Snow tackled me and began to lick me.

Cinder POV

'Do you think she likes her?' Neo wrote, "I think she loves her." I said as I poured myself a cup of coffee, "Mommy." Ruby said as she walked over to me holding her hand, "What's up honey?" I asked, "Snow bit me Mommy." She said as she showed me her hand which was bleeding not enough to be serious, but definitely enough to make me worry, "Ok sweetie let's go get that cleaned up and you can tell me what happened." I said, she nodded and followed me to the bathroom. 

"Ok baby girl what happened?" I asked as I rinsed the blood off her hand, "Well I was playing tug of war with Snow, I guess we were playing a little too rough so when I tried to pet her after the game I guess she thought we were still playing and bit me." Ruby said as I dabbed the wound with hydrogen peroxide making her grimace slightly, "Please don't put her down Mommy! It was my fault!" She said, "Sweetie who told you we would put her down?" I asked, "G...Grandma. She told me a lot of things that Mommy's and Daddy's do that they don't tell their kids. Like how you lied to me about Winter." She said, "So you knew hugh." I said as I wrapped her hand in gauze, "What happened to her? And this time no lies." She said, "Straight to the point then alright I'll tell you." I said calmly.

Flashback 3rd person POV four months ago

Cinder had taken Winter to a dog park near her apartment. "Winter go play." Cinder said as she sat on a bench and began to read a book.

They had been at the park for almost an hour when Cinder heard an unmistakable yelp of her dog. She ran over to the pup and tore a large dog off her daughter's precious puppy. "Oh no." Cinder said in concern. Winter's once snow white fur had been covered in blood.

She immediately took her dog to the vet and hoped for the best, but of coarse the worst happened. The vet had stopped the bleeding, but told her that she could either put Winter down or put her through a series of surgeries that would only give her a few more months at best, "Ruby's gonna be devastated." Cinder said as she signed the papers to have Winter put down, "I'm so sorry Winter, you were such a good girl." She said sadly.

End flashback Cinder POV

"And that's what happened to Winter." I said, "Did she suffer?" Ruby asked, "No not at all." I said, "That's good, now I want to kill the mutt that hurt my puppy." She said as her eyes began to glow, "Ruby we don't talk like that." I said, "Grandma said that if anyone takes something that's mine then I should get even. That mutt killed my puppy, so I'm going to kill that mutt." She said, "Ruby! What happened to my sweet little girl?" I said, she looked at me in shock, "M...Mommy?" She said, "Ruby either you start acting like the good girl you are, or you're going to be in big trouble understand young lady." I said as my eyes glowed with far more intensity than hers, "Y...Yes Mommy, I...I'm sorry." She said in fear, "Ruby doll I didn't want to have to do that, but all that talk about killing that's not you. I don't ever want to here you talk like that again understood." I said, "Yes." She said, I kissed her forehead, "Good girl, now let's go eat lunch." I said as I picked her up.
