If he didn't know any better, Y/N would've thought Anna was setting up a joke. The two were at a nearby park, enjoying the sun and just having a great time overall. It was great since their first date because they understood each other much better now and knew how to handle one another. Anna smiled more than people expected, so her crush on Y/N was in full effect. Of course they wouldn't just jump straight into something, but easing in lead them down the right path to see how everything would develope.

Anna:" I swear I'm not joking. Navy did steal my bedsheets overnight sometimes."

Y/N:" Didn't you say you had him under control?"

Anna:" I do now, but back then he did whatever. This dog is a lot to handle."

Y/N:" I wonder who he got that from."

Anna:" Jerk haha."

Y/N just chuckled at that and appreciated that Anna took it with some humor. Not everyone was easy going like they were as the two just sat next to each other.

Y/N:" I'm glad we can spend some time together today."

Anna:" So am I, Y/N. I enjoyed our date a lot last week, so there will definitly be another one sooner than you think."

Y/N:" You can bet on that. Tell me when and where you'd like to go."

Anna:" Oh no, this time I want to surprise you. I can't have you do all the fancy stuff."

Y/N:" Fair point. Alright, I'll let you surprise me then. You look great in this outfit, if I may say that."

Anna:" Oh, this? Thank you, but it's pretty simple."

Y/N:" You make it work though. I like it."

Anna:" You and your charme, Y/N. I wonder why nobody snapped you up yet."

Y/N:" I'm still considered the 'new' guy, so I haven't met many people. And besides, I'm not one for hookups or something of that sort."

Anna:" Good. I don't expect you to nail everything you can get your hands on."

Y/N:" Why should I? I'm looking for a meaningful relationship. If others wanna screw around, let them. But that's just not me."

Anna:" You're adorable, Y/N. I might have to keep you for myself."

Y/N:" Would that be something you'd want?"

Now this question caught Anna off guard as she had to think about it for a moment. She got to know the good sides of Y/N so far and loved those, but what would happen once the negative stuff came out? She didn't want to think about that, so she only focussed on the positive things about him.

Anna:" Actually yes, very much."

Y/N:" Oh? Do I suspect that there's more to that statement?"

Y/N chuckled once more, but then looked at Anna, admiring her all over again. She was a gorgeous human being, had a great personality and she knew how to hit hard in many different ways. Of course she had her own baggage to carry in terms of what was going on in her life so far, but to her it seemed easier thanks to the support she received from everyone. But it was obvious that they were attracted to each other.

Anna:" What if there is? I mean you've been so good to me ever since your first appearance. You took me out to eat and do fun stuff and just being around you is doing me so good."

Y/N:" It's because I see something in you, Anna. You're smart, powerful, funny, independent, you know what you want. And you deserve to be treated well."

Anna blushed and smiled at Y/N as those words set in and made her feel more comfortable around the taller man. She didn't want it any other way, hoping that thibgs would soon progress further than a close friendship.

Anna:" Y'know, I could really get used to this."

Y/N:" I'm always available for hangouts on our days off. And you know where I stay when we're at the hotel, so don't be afraid to come around and watch a movie or something."

Anna:" Maybe I'll take you up on that offer soon."

Both of them knew it would come to that sooner rather than later as Anna rested her head on Y/N's shoulder. The brunette really fell hard for him and vice versa, so it was only a matter of time until things would be stepped up. Their peace wasn't fully safe though as none other than Tay arrived.

Tay:" I knew I woukd find you guys around here."

Anna:" What brings you here?"

Tay:" I just got back from the gym and thought I'd see what the two of you are up to."

Y/N:" Well, we were just talking about some very interesting things, but that doesn't need to concern you."

Anna:" What Y/N means is that you'll see something good very soon."

Now Tay was intrigued as she looked at them, trying to figure out what it could be. She would try to break the seal one way or another, no matter how lobg it woukd take, especially because she knew Anna the best.

Tay:" So what are you up to later?"

Anna:" I'm not sure yet. Y/N, do you have something in mind?"

Y/N:" Anything is fine with me."

Anna:" Okay, that gives us a lot of options. Maaayybe a game of Badminton?'

Tay:" Sounds good. I'm sure they have a set somewhere around here."

Y/N:" Perfect. For now, I'll pour us something to drink. Can't have Anna burn through me."

Smirking at his own joke, Y/N pulled out a bottle of mineral water and some plastic cups while Anna and Tay exchanged glances at one another. Anna appreciated the joke and compliment while Tay slowly put the pieces together before they were handed their drinks and the trio toasted to each other.

Y/N:" To us, ladies."

Anna:" Cheers to a fun day."

Tay:" Bottoms up."

And so the three took a sip and enjoyed the rest of the time they spent at the park. Anna and Y/N had a great time regardless, but Tay always brought a bubbly attitude with her that raised the bar even higher. And playing Badminton was just as enjoyable, especially because they found a place with enough shade for everyone.

Around 5 p.m. they all went back to the hotel to rest and wash up a bit before heading out to dinner later on. Y/N was invited by Adam Cole and Britt Baker, so he offered to bring Anna and Tay along since they didn't have anything else to do for the evening. When getting to their room, Tay smiled and hugged Y/N goodbye first before Anna had her turn.

Anna:" You're definitly one in a million, Y/N. I'll make it a reality in having you to myself."

Y/N:" I wouldn't have it any other way, Anna. You're amazing in every way."

Anna:" No need to butter me up. You're smooth as it is."

Y/N:" Fair. What if I add to this?"

In a quick turn, Y/N bent down a bit and gave Anna a kiss on the cheek.

Anna definitly was surprised by that, seeing as she blushed a little more heavily, but she didn't hate it. She knew Y/N meant well with everything he did, wanting to keep a comfortable atmosphere all around. Sometimes though the loving and romantic side of him cut through pretty quickly.

Anna:" Oh you. I never know what to expect with you."

Y/N:" You know me. I'm a bundle of surprises."

Anna:" And I love that about you. I wonder what else you can think of."

Y/N:" I won't spoil that."

They shared a good laugh for a moment before finally hugging. Honestly, they would take things up several notches in the next few days and everyone who knew them would surely be positively surprised as well. Anna smiled and winked at Y/N before walking into her hotel room while Y/N let out a satisfied sigh. He really fell in love with her.
