Chapter:- 2
There I was, washing dishes in the his house. My arms and legs mottled with bruises, but couldn't afford to reject his commands. I kept doing the dishes and wincing at every sudden movement.
The lights went off suddenly, shrouding the previous noontime room into darkness. Gingerly moved two steps, expecting to be smashed into the dining table, but the absence of it caught me. I stretched my arms forward, waving them slowly so I wouldn't stumble. I moved my body sideways, but only air embraced me.
I pressed my eyes shut and rubbed it but still the darkness didn't disappear. Moved towards the left expecting the cold window glass to be pressed against my palm but I felt nothing. Kept moving my arms in air. Fear rose in me ,produced sweat on my body, my heart beat escalating as legs trembled.
I moved my leg to the left, expecting a cabinet to press against my skin. But met with void. Fear was the nerve fibre in my brain. I wandered in a hope to escape the blackness but it had no end. I sat myself on the floor of the void, silent tears washing over my cheeks.

My arms clasped the chest, briefly forgetting the tattooed bruises on my skin. But the pain that ran through my body at that movement reminded me. My eyes snapped open and saw myself laying on a single bed with a cheap maroon duvet covering it. Eyes roamed around in an attempt to kill the curiosity, assessing the small room with white walla and a small window.
There was a door in front of the bed and another to the left. I couldn't guess which one led out where. Didn't even feel it wise to check. I sat up slowly, sitting with my legs crossed.
The black void I had been in earlier was a part of my dreamscape, but then where was I? The question rattled around in my head until I pictured the guy covering my face with a rag.
What are they actually going to do? The thought raced through my mind but there was no panic. I had left that behind, years ago.
I kept myself covered in the duvet with my head touching the wall and knees to my chest arms hugging them. I deduced that wherever I was. Was some way, safe. No one had come barking at me since I had opened my eyes, and that was already leaps and bounds better than Joe's home.
If those people took me as ransom or out of vengeance, thinking that Joe would come running to look for me, then they were sorely mistaken. Nobody except for two of his friends, knew that he wouldn't precipitate a single drop of sweat for me.
But it was my secret; I would never let those words escape my mouth. My kidnappers, whoever they were, couldn't know.
I didn't want to enter that house again, never would I again wish to hear his words; Who made me feel regretful even though I indeliberatly accomplished that incident. But I just prayed to Jesus that he wouldn't find me again. I wished no more preying on my body and beating me as a street reliever. It had already suffered enough. There wasn't a single inch of skin that wasn't scarred.
I waited in that very room. Eyes stuck on white wall in front because I did not had any curiosity to search the place.
"You're awake." The guy with blond hair came in. Followed by a guy with long brown one whom, I think had a good dressing sense: he had tucked a white shirt with small floral prints and black skinny jeans and the brown boots adding a strange kick to his personality more.
I said nothing, just stared at them with a blank expression, my body filled with a numbness that should have been disconcerting. The pair came closer, the blond sitting on the bed in front of me while the other leaned against the wall, staring at me like I saw some strange, extinct creature.
"Ugh! What are you?" Said the guy against the wall out of frustration.
"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked settling myself better on the bed.
"Don't you have to ask question like other captives asks all the time and cry all day long?" he asked and stood in front of me.
"Um..I- I don't know?" I paused uneasily. I didn't know how I was supposed to respond to that.
"Oh! Harry look,"he said, roughly grabbed my chin to show him the bruise on my forehead."She's. Joe's sister. We all know that he never works on time." He contemplated something for a moment, his lips curling."And he never pays back, either."
"Yeah! Someone probably kidnapped her to get the work down from him," Harry sneered.
"Now you're playing the same game," I mocked and tried to act frustrated.
The blond guy smacked me and grabbed my chin again but this time turbulently. The blond smacked me and grabbed my chin against, turbulently."Don't ever use this tone with us,"his teeth clenched.
They introduced themselves: I knew that Harry was the one with long hair, with the blond introduced himself as Naill. They threatened me lightly, hinting that this Louis person would strongly dislike me because of my unreactive behavior. Harry asked why they would give Joe any money if they already knew that he didn't pay back; Naill simply replied that Joe pleaded too hard.
They demanded,I come downstairs in 20 minutes. I mistakenly hoped that the situation here might be better than the one I came from. But the smack Naill gave me. Reminded me of the world I was trapped in.
I didn't know what would happen once I was downstairs, nor did I know how long it would take there. So I went into the bathroom. It was small and everything had a layer of dust covering it.
On my way down to the stairs, I overheard their muffled talks, but my brain was far too focused on the pain in my ankle and arm from Joe.
They didn't notice me coming, nor did they perceive my presence behind them. I didn't know what to do, but I guess my feet decided that staying glued to the floor would be the best course of action. All three of them were laughing up the room quite a bit. My presence left a blue tint creeping just around the edge.
"Whatever you're thinking won't work."The sudden voice whispered in my ears had me stumbling to the left. My eyes found its owner,an unfamiliar man with grown hair, thin lips, and greyish-blur eyes, pierced into mine. This must have been the Louis they were talking about. I hadn't even been thinking of anything; my mind had been having a joyful moment. He then beckoned me to the table.
When he said,"what ever you are thinking won't work."
I wasn't even thinking of anything actually I had a clear blank mind but my eyes watched others having a joyful moment. Then He beckoned me roughly to the table.
"Name,"he demanded as he took a seat. I was left standing in front of everyone, and the others kept eating, periodically glancing at me.
"What name?" I asked fiddling with my fingers.
"Yours," the guy with quiff said.
"Light," I replied.
"Sit," the guy with greyish blue eyes said and I obeyed. I wasn't that sure, but I was pretty sure he was the leader. He certainly sounded like it.
A plate of food was set in front of the chair that was left open, and the guy with the greyish eyes told me to eat. I was starving, so I didn't refuse. I didn't care if it was poisoned, it wasn't like I had any sim to live.
"Alright! Let's do the introduction first then I'll go to rules," The guy whom I was assuming Louis spoke.
The guy with the quiff was apparently name Liam, then there was Harry and Naill. I went to say that I knew those two already, but Naill looked at me and subtly shook his head. So I stayed silent.
"We are the Dark Evils gang. And I am the leader, Louis." He bowed his head slightly before talking again. "I am going to tell you some rules, and you have to follow them if you don't want anything bad to happen to you."once he was finished, the doorbell ran.
Liam left his fork on his plate, strutting towards the door. He hurriedly reentered the room, his expression a mixture of worried, panic and irritation.
"It's Darren," he said.
"Ugh! I fucking hate him," Harry hissed, running his fingers through his loosed hair
"Same here, but we all need to deal with him," Louis said. Everyone, except for me was standing huffing in frustration and anger,
I saw a fork coming to my direction in air, but before if could hurt me. I moved aside, letting out an involuntary squeal. Everyone's attention was on me, but my gaze were fixed on the direction the fork came from. Harry mouthed,"sorry."Then Louis came straight to my face, scaring the lat tissue of my body.
"Go upstair to the room and don't step out until I personally tell to," he ordered. I was confused about the sudden changing atmosphere in the room. Could it all be because of the Darren character? But one thing was clear: he was dangerous.
"Niall will escort you back to the room from backdoor," Harry said, interrupting my already jumbled thoughts.
Everyone left the kitchen and Niall beckoned me to the room.
