Garmadon and Overlord were watching as the celestial clock were counting down the final hour. "The clock is only hours away from finishing it's countdown to the final battle between good and evil, Garmadon. Why so sad?" Overlord asked as he noticed Garmadon being in deep thoughts. Garmadon just scoffed. "Me? Sad? Ha! Nonsense. I couldn't be happier. It's just..." He got interupted. "Lloyd?" Overlord asked and Garmadon sighed. "I still have to battle my son in order to transform Ninjago into my image." Overlord flew around him. "Battle and defeat, if evil is to prevail." He said before Garmadon walked away with a saddened expression.

Meanwhile at the beach, the ninja were doing some practice with their new weapons. Nya shot a coconut into the air for them to hit. "Order up. Coconut flakes, freshly crushed." Cole said and shot it, crushing it into pieces. "It is good to have our powers back." Zane said and Jay nodded. "Yup, you're right. And since we've all been working on our witty quips to follow every cool thing we do, I'd say we got this final battle in the bag. Or should I say. I'd be shocked if we lose!" He hit a coconut aswell.

Wu walked up to them. "Good practice. But try to keep it more quiet. While it is true your powers can defeat the stone army, only Lloyd alone has the power to defeat Garmadon. When it is all over, then we will see who laughs last." The ninja nodded. Julien was fixing the falcon while Lloyd watched. "Every cog, every gear is important. If one piece is missing, or out of place, the invention won't work." He closed the falcon's panel and I started up. Seeing Julien, it nuzzled against his head.

Julien laughed. "Good to see you too. Come now, little one. Time to fly." Soon the falcon started to fly around. Wu walked up to Lloyd. "It is like you ninja. You each serve very important roles, and are key parts to a magnificent fighting force." He said. The falcon flew to the ninja and landed on Zane's arm. "Good to have you back, old friend." He said and smiled.

Lloyd turned to Wu. "If we're all gears, what if I'm the gear that doesn't work? What if I don't do my part? What if I can't defeat my father?" Wu put a hand on his shoulder. "What if there are no more What-ifs? The final battle is almost upon us. When that time comes, we will know the answer to what ifs whether we like it or not." Nya and Misako walked up to them too.

"I know you don't want to face your father, but there is no other choice." Nya said before Misako thought about something. "But perhaps there is. I used to think it was inevitable, but the I found this." She soon showed everyone a scroll with the celestial clock on. "You mean Lloyd doesn't have to fight? This I gotta hear." Cole said and Misako nodded. "The scrolls says, that when the helmet of darkness is bequeathed to its rightful ruler, the celestial clock lock will count down to the activation of an unspeakable weapon. The first sign that the final battle between good and evil has begun." Everyone's eyes widened.

"Go on, Misako. How do we stop the final battle?" Cole asked. "There is nothing here that explains what would happen if the helmet of darkness is returned." Misako answered and Wu thought a little. "Interesting. Remove the helmet, the clock starts. Put it back, the clock stops." Lloyd smirked. "And the final battle never starts." They all nodded. "That sounds great and all, and I know we have our new powers. But trying to take the helmet is still dangerous and risky." Kaya pointed out and Nya nodded. "My brother's right. They're good, but they're not that good." Misako looked at them and sighed.

"I know. And that is why I am going to do it. I'll just need a little help." She said and took the ninja aside. Lloyd tried to join but Wu stopped him. "I'm sorry, Lloyd. This mission isn't for you." Lloyd grunted. "But I'm all powered up, I can help." Wu shook his head. "We mustn't let you and your father come face to face yet. We're trying to prevent the final battle, not welcome it." Lloyd sighed and nodded. "Yes, Sensei." He said and walked off.

At Garmadon's camp were he and Kozu watching the other warriors building a big weapon. "To combat the ninja's new power, we have honored your request to step up defenses." Kozu said and Garmadon grinned. "Hehehe, I like what I see." Overlord arrived by his side. "Why build your forces, when all of your attention should be on completing the ultimate weapon?" He asked and Garmadon scoffed. "What good is an ultimate weapon if I'm not around to use it? Do not question my motives." He said and Overlord looked at him.

"It is not your motives I question, but your resolve. I fear you're hesitating as the hours count down to facing your son. So it is true." Garmadon hesitated before shaking his head. "Never doubt my evil again! Not if you wish to remain my ally when I rule!" He turned towards the army. "Get back to building the ultimate weapon! And do not stop until it is complete." The army started to work on the ultimate weapon. "Yes... now that is the Garmadon I am counting on." Overlord chuckled.

The ninja arrived at the camp, disguised as some warriors and leading Misako to the gate. They got let inside as Kozu walked up to them. "Unhand me, you fiends!" Misako said. "Unt tin Klata vu! (Where did you find her?)" Kozu asked and the ninja whispered to eachother. "Uh, what did he say?" Cole asked but neither Zane or Jay knew. "He's asking where we found Misako." Kaya answered, shocking the other three. "How did you?" Jay asked and Kaya smirked. "I read a little about their language." She said before turning to Kozu.

"Ish tak umbo ashrak! Ars okty sapvu aly ameo! (In the jungle. She was getting some water when we caught her.)" Kozu nodded before turning to Misako. "That's right, you caught me. But I'll never tell you where our base is. And you won't hear another peep out of me, unless you take me to Garmadon." She said and Kozu grabbed her before leading her to Garmadon's tent. There he was laying in bed when he heard them walk in. "I said that I was not to be disturbed." He growled.

Kozu bowed. "Forgive me, my lord, but we have a prisoner who knows the whereabouts of your son's rebel base." Misako walked in, making Garmadon's eyes widen. "Misako!" He said and Misako nodded. "It's been a while." Garmadon blushed a little before coughing. "I, uh.... Release her." Kozu nodded and cut the ropes before leaving. "Take off that silly helmet. Let me get a good look at you." Misako walked up to him, but Garmadon backed up. "If you don't mind, I'd rather not." He said.

Outside, the ninja were working on their witty quips. "How about this? It's 'ice' to see you." Zane tried but the others shook their heads. "Uh, I don't know. I feel like you could do better." Jay said. "I swear I've heard that before." Cole added. Kozu soon walked up to them. "Tuzo tong! (Get working!)" He pointed towards the weapon. "Kaya, what did he say?" Cole asked. "He wants us to get to work." Kaya answered. "TUZO TONG! (GET WORKING!)" Kozu shouted and the ninja stood up. "Aker ope! (Right away sir)" Kaya said as they started to work on the weapon.

Misako and Garmadon were still talking as Garmadon grabbed a sword. "So you know where our son is hiding, but I suspect you won't give him up that easily. I know you too well, Misako. Why did you allow yourself to get caught?" He asked and Misako smiled at him. "Because I know you don't want to fight as much as Lloyd doesn't want to fight." Garmadon got shocked. "Lloyd doesn't want to fight-uh, I mean, so Lloyd doesn't want to fight?" He laughed.

"If you're still the man I once loved, I know you'd never want to see him harmed." Misako said and Garmadon scoffed. "But it is foretold. It is our destiny. I don't care about him. I only care about turning Ninjago into my own image." Misako looked away. "Then you're not the man I married." She said and turned away from him with her arms crossed. Garmadon took off his helmet and put it on his drawer before walking up to her. "Misako, I may look different, and evil may now course through my veins, but I am still the man standing before you. I want you to rule by my side." He smiled gently and grabbed her hands.

The ninja were forced to bring dark matter to the weapon. "Aw, man! No matter how many bad situations we get ourselves out of, we never seem to be able to escape chores!" Jay complained. "What is that thing?" Cole asked and pointed at the weapon. "It must be the unspeakable weapon Misako was talking about." Zane answered. "Some sort of massive cannon. I don't like the sight of that." Kaya told them.

A stone scout soon walked up to them. "Tun meta! TUN META!" It bonked Cole's head. "Hey, why don't you bonk someone your own size, half-stack?" Cole said before kicking the scout off the platform. The warriors turned towards them and Cole sighed. "That guy seriously had it coming." He said before they changed into their ninja suits and started to fight the warriors.

Garmadon had his back turned from Misako, not seeing her reaching towards the helmet. "Misako, I'm glad you finally understand me. Not many people do, you see. Being evil these days is really unappreciated. But you...I always knew I could count on you." He said before Misako grabbed the helmet and ran out, setting off an alarm. Garmadon saw this. "Huh? You deceived me? Stop her!" He shouted while she meet up with the ninja. "You got the helmet!" Zane said and Misako noticed the warriors. "And you got spotted!" She said.

"Cole gave us away." Jay said and Cole sighed. "All right, I've had a rough day. Can we stop laying blame, and focus on what's in front of us?" Suddenly they heard something heading their way, when Garmadon appeared in a big mech. "Maybe we should worry about what's behind us." Kaya said as they started to avoid his giant sword. "If we do not return the helmet before the clock strikes zero, we won't be able to prevent the final battle." Misako said.

Suddenly, Nya arrived in the earth drill and tripped Garmadon. "Hey, guys!" She said and stopped infront of them. "How did you know we needed you?" Jay asked and Nya pointed at the falcon over them. "Get in! And hang on." They jumped in before digging underground. Garmadon growled and turned towards the army. "Don't just stand there! Get them!" The army nodded and chased them in their own vehicles. "You fool! You let them get away with the helmet? Don't you realize, that if they put it on, they will control the army?" Overlord scolded him. "I'll see to it personally. It's my turn." Garmadon informed him.

In the earth driller was Jay putting on the helmet. "Heh, cool hat. I wonder if it'll make me look more menacing." He smirked. "Is that really wise? If that helmet turns you evil, we're kicking you out." Nya said and Jay quickly threw it off. "Uh, is that possible? Uh, it's probably got Garmadon cooties anyway." Wu the spoke threw the communicator. "Did we get the helmet?" He asked. "We did, and we're all accounted for." Nya answered. "Then let's rendezvous at the clock." Wu hung up.

"It's so dark in here. One of these have got to be a light switch." Jay said and pushed a random button. That's when a warrior appeared. "Uh, sis, can we go any faster?" Kaya asked. "We're going as fast as we can." Nya answered. "We're definitely not going fast enough." Cole pointed out. Kozu and the warriors came closer and Nya went up. There they got faster, making it hard for the warriors to keep up. "We're losing them!" Jay said as they all sighed in relief.

Just then, Garmadon ran towards them in his mech. "You won't get away from me again, Misako." He shouted as Nya went faster, before Garmadon caught up and threw them against a tree. He walked up to them and Nya tried to break the glass. "I finally have you ninja in the palm of my hand." Garmadon said and reached towards them, when he suddenly got hit by Lloyd and knocked his mech back. "Lloyd, be careful." Nya said.

Weakened, Garmadon walked out of his mech. "Holy cannoli, Lloyd and Garmadon in a face-off! Take the shot, Lloyd!" Jay said. "He's vulnerable!" Cole pointed out. "Do not hesitate!" Zane told him. "Strike now!" Kaya exclaimed. Lloyd looked at his father before sighing. "I'm sorry, Father. You leave me no choice. It is our destiny." He prepared a ball of energy. He and Garmadon locked eyes and he stopped the attack. "No! What is he doing?" Jay exclaimed before they saw the army getting closer. "They're coming. Lloyd, we need to move!" Misako said and Lloyd nodded before jumping in. They all drove off, leaving Garmadon growling.

Soon they arrived at the clock where Wu were waiting. "Wow. This clock is a mechanical masterpiece." Nya said in fascination. "You're welcome to dismantle it once we stop it." Misako told her. They all looked around. "There's only a couple minutes left!" Jay said. Misako turned towards the others. "Everyone, look for the helmet's perch! It could be anywhere." Wu looked at her. "You don't know how to return the helmet?" Misako shook her head. "It has a resting place somewhere." They all tried different places, but nothing happened.

Wu soon saw a place. "Could this be the place?" He said and Jay threw the helmet towards him. But before he could catch it, Kozu pushed him aside and caught it instead. "There's only thirty seconds left. I believe it's time to die-" He got interupted as a pole pushed the helmet away. "Get the helmet!" Misako exclaimed and they tried to reach the helmet. Cole got the helmet and threw it towards Misako as she stood at the right place. She put it on the perch, stopping the clock.

"No!" Kozu shouted as they cheered. "Ah! It worked!" Lloyd said, but that's when the clock started again. It reached the end, and horns started to blare.

Nya: We did it!

Everyone cheered and the stone army growled angrily. But just then the clock started again, blaring a horn. The army laughed as the ninja's eyes widened. "The horns of destruction. We were too late." Misako said. Garmadon heard it from the jungle. "Overlord, what has happened?" He asked. "It has started." Overlord answered as a light appeared from the clock. "What is that thing?" Garmadon asked.

The cliff the group were standing on started to crumble and they quickly started to fall. Kaya and Nya was still in the cliff. "We gotta jump." Kaya said and Nya nodded before jumping first, being caught by Jay. But when Kaya were about to jump, Kozu struck her head, knocking her out and grabbed her with a grin. "Kaya!" Cole and Nya shouted before they all fell into the endless sea. But they luckily survived. They all looked up as Lloyd hung his head.

"This is all my fault. I should've taken the shot." He said in guilt. "We don't need to lose our focus." Wu said before Cole turned to him. "Forget focus. We have to get my girlfriend." Jay and Zane held him back. "By the time we get back up there, they'll be gone. We will get Kaya, but the clock has reached a zero and the final battle could start at any moment. We must head back to the Bounty to get prepared, so that next time, you will not hesitate." Misako said and Wu nodded.

"Come on, Lloyd. Let's go home. You will get your chance." They all headed towards their hideout. Jay turned back to see Nya and Cole looking up saddened. He walked up to them. "Don't worry. We'll get her back. She's gonna be okay?" They knew he was right. "You're right. It's Kaya we're talking about. She's gonna give them hell." Nya said and Cole nodded before they caught up to the others.

Garmadon and the Overlord walked back to their camp and saw that a vehicle started to take form of a tank. "Behold, the ultimate weapon. I give you ... Garmatron!" Overlord said and Garmadon grinned. "It's more beautiful than I could ever imagine!" They both laughed. Knowing they had the upper hand.
