Stiix and stones

The ninja and Selena arrived at Stiix's docks. "Welcome to Stiix. Watch your step. Oh, I caught one. It's a big fella. Ugh, whoa. Whoa!" A fisherman greeted them before something pulled him into the water, luckily he was okay. Kaya looked down at the water and took a deep breath. "Are you okay Kaya?" Cole asked and Kaya nodded. "Yeah. Just never really liked being over deep water on unstable ground." She answered and the others turned to her. "Well, if you would fall in, there's easy to swim to land." Jay pointed out and Kaya sighed.

"Well. I never learned how to swim. My parents disappeared before I got the chance. Especially when I needed to take care of the shop. Never had time to learn." Selena walked up to her. "Well, we all will help you if something happens. So you don't need to worry." The others nodded and Kaya smiled. "Thanks. Still don't like deep water though." Cole wrapped his arms around her. "Well, now that we know ghosts don't like water either, at least we should feel safe surrounded by it." He said and they all looked around. "Ugh, what a dump. You'd think the thief who stole the scroll of airjitzu would have better taste." Jay complained.

"Uh, this is Ronin we're talking about. He'd steal the sea if it were worth anything. We just have to figure out which rock he's under and get to the scroll before Morro does." Cole answered and Zane nodded. "Let's split up and start looking." They soon split up to look after Ronin. Jay walked with Selena and looked at her. "Hey, Selena. Do you have water spells that might come in handy?" He asked and Selena sighed. "Sadly, my water spells aren't that strong. They'll only harm one ghost at the time." She informed and Jay nervously laughed. "Ah. Okay, no big deal. Hehe." They all soon arrived at a pawnshop.

Inside they started looking around, before Cole found something. "Wait a minute, this is my dad's blade cup trophy. How is it even here if Pythor took it and used it to revive the great devourer?" He asked in confusion. "Probably a fake. Seems like we're in the right place." Kaya said before they heard whistling. They all turned and saw Ronin walk inside. "Ronin." Jay exclaimed and Ronin's eyes widened when he saw them, quickly trying to escape, but Selena made a wall to stop him. "Going so soon?" She said and Ronin nervously laughed. "If this is about our last encounter, it was only business." He laughed before seeing the frustrated expression on their faces.

"So you're still upset. Let me make it up to you." Suddenly he pushed a button and a vengestone net fell down, but missed them. They all glared at Ronin who got more nervous. "Uh, that was a mistake. I can explain that." Cole rolled his eyes. "Argh, nothing here is legit, including you." Jay nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I bet your airship's not far either. What do you call it again? Rylo? Ruby?" He asked and Ronin sighed. "R.E.X. And could you have a little sympathy? Sold her so I could buy this place. As you can see, I'm trying to make an honest living." Kaya scoffed. "Honest enough to steal the scroll of airjitzu?" She pointed out.

Ronin smiled innocently. "The scroll of who-whatzu?" Jay rolled his eyes. "Airjitzu. It can make a spinjitzu master fly." Cole took a step forward. "Yeah. So hand it over or we can make you fly." Ronin put up his hand in surrender. "Whoa, cool down, fella. Even if I had such a thing, it sounds pretty old and important. Definitely not something I'd keep on site. And definitely too much for you to afford. Maybe I can interest you in some unique weapons? I've got jadeblades, obsidian armor..." Zane interupted him.

"Have anything that can vanquish ghosts?" He asked and Ronin scratched his chin. "Hmm, ghosts you say?" Cole nodded. "Yeah. They hate water, but we're not looking for water balloons. We need something reliable." Ronin nodded before taking up four boomerang blades. "Hmm, what you're looking for is an aeroblade, forged by deepstone, an aquatic material mined from the bottom of the ocean. Very unique. Even more expensive." He smirked and the ninja looked at eachother.

Selena sighed in annoyence. "Ugh, can't you see he's giving us the runaround? We want the scroll, Ronin. What do you want for it?" She said and Ronin smirked. "Two hundred." Their eyes widened. "What?! Two hundred?! We don't have that kind of dough!" Jay exclaimed. "Come on, you guys once had the golden weapons. You honestly telling me you've never pinched anything? Or maybe Selena here could conjure up some money." Ronin suggested and Kaya pinched the bridge of her nose. "No! We don't pinch. And we don't even have pockets." Selena nodded. "And I'll never use magic to conjure up money." Cole stepped forward. "What if we were to tell you all of Ninjago depends on it?" Ronin thought about it. "Well then, that changes everything. Four hundred." The others just looked at him.

"I'm gonna kill him." Selena said and walked towards Ronin before Cole held her back. "What do you think, Zane?" He asked and Zane started to think about the options. "Well, I say we give him what he wants. I sense if we won't, Morro will." Kaya nodded. "All right, but let me negotiate." She walked up to Ronin. "Two hundred." Ronin scoffed. "Four hundred." Kaya then smirked. "Five hundred." Bur Ronin didn't notice. "Four hundred." He said and Kaya shook her head. "Three hundred." Ronin sighed. "Two hundred." Kaya shook his hand. "Deal." She said and walked out with the others. "Good. Two hundred. Wait." Ronin soon realized what happened.

Outside was the others shocked and surprised over how Kaya managed the negotiation. "How did you do that?" Jay asked and Kaya smirked proudly. "When buying material for a new sword. I always negotiate." Cole chuckled a little over how great his wife was. "Okay, but we still need to get that money." Zane nodded. "Then I'll lead us for now. So let's get the money." The others nodded before they headed off to earn some money.

By Steep Wisdom was Wu training Nya by the waterfall while Pyther watched. "Your training to become the master of water begins now. To become water, you must find its qualities within yourself. While earth is strong and air is fluid, water can be both, strong and fluid. Over time, it's strong enough to carve this rock. Or if I use my cup to stop its flow, it can adapt. It's flexible, shapeless. You put water in a cup, it becomes the cup. You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Be water, Nya. On your hands!" Wu said before Nya did one handed stand, Pyther trying it out too, but fell.

"Very good. Your mother would be proud." Nya sighed. "I hate to break it to you, but sometimes elemental powers can skip a generation. Maybe you're wrong about me. If the ninja so desperately need my help, isn't it best if I'm a samurai?" But Wu shook his head. "A samurai cannot do spinjitzu. Nor unlock her own elemental dragon." He said before summoning his elemental dragon. "You never told us you could do that." Nya said surprised while Pyther slithered up to it. "So cute." He said and petted it.

Wu chuckled. "A Sensei never tells. Besides, water is the only weapon against a ghost, for though they can pass through solid objects, they cannot pass through what never stands still. What's flexible to us is rigid to them. And since the ninja no longer have their elemental powers, it's all but imperative that you go with the flow. Think fast!" Suddenly he threw his cup towards Nya who quickly jumped up and caught it. "To find your full potential, we must find what makes you weak, for in your weakness-" Wu said before Nya interupted.

"Lies strength? Yeah, I got it. And I don't mean to boast, but I'm pretty good at almost everything I pick up. Can you even count the times I've had to rescue the others?" She smirked and Wu sighed. "Yes, Nya. Your merits don't go unnoticed, but by the end of the day, we will find your flaw. Before then, the bucket test!" He handed Nya a bucket, making her confused. "The bucket test?" Wu nodded. "Simple. Just fill it with water. When it is completely full, your training today is done." Nya shrugged before scoping up some water, only to see it leak through a hole in the bucket. "I said it was simple, not easy. Go with the flow." Wu said before he turned to see Pyther cuddling with his dragon. "So soft." The young anacondrai said happily.

Selena and the ninja meanwhile got a small job on the docks. "Oh, glad you four showed up. Even with a some coins a head, couldn't find anyone willing to go out there and complete the dock." The foreman informed them while Kaya looked at the water, nervously. "And we need to work by the water?" She asked, making the foreman chuckle. "Ain't the water you gotta be careful of. It's strangle weed. Grabs a hold of you, doesn't let go. But I could use a good team. How about it?" They all looked at eachother before nodding. "Uh, we'll do it!" Zane answered before they started to work. Jay was controlling, lifting planks while the others put them on the dock to expand it.

"Keep your eyes on the prize! Let's bring it in slowly. Come on, guys. One team, one dream!" Zane told the others before they continued, getting closer and closer to the end. "Oh. Would you look at that? What a team." The foreman chuckled while still watching them. Suddenly Zane tried swatting a fly away, making Jay confused. "What is that supposed to mean? You want me to swing it? Okay, you're the leader." Jay shrugged and swung the crane. "Zane, look out!" Cole exclaimed before Zane got hit, luckily being unharmed. Except for one small thing. "Enif m'I. Gnikrow trats dna pu tilps s'tel. (I'm fine. Let's split up and start working.)" He spoke in reverse, which made the others confused.

Pixal tried to fix it. "It appears your entire language database is damaged, and there's nothing I can do. Sorry babe." He said and Zane turned to the others. "Sdrawkcab s'eludom eciov ym. (My voice module's backwards.)" That's when he saw a strangle weed reaching towards Cole. "Deew elgnarts eht ,eloc! Tuo hctaw! (Cole, the Strangle Weed! Watch out!)" Cole looked more confused. "What's wrong with him?" He asked before the foreman's eyes widened. "Strangle weed!" Cole's leg soon got grabbed. "Ah! Strangle Weed! It's got me!" Selena held up her hand. "Statrico!" She exclaimed and sent a blade of magic towards the weed, slicing it up.

Everyone sighed in relief. "Thank you Selena." Cole thanked and Selena nodded. "No problem. Now, let make the work easier. Repecari." Soon her magic affected the planks, finishing up the dock. The foreman nodded proudly. "Good job. Here's your payment." He said before handing the payment to the ninja before heading off. Kaya looked at the payment and her eyes widened. "Fifty bucks. That's not even close." They all let out a sigh before they walked to a bench and sat down. While there, Jay tried repairing Zane. "Ah, his voice mod's on the fritz. I can fix it, but it's gonna take time. And some spare parts from your dad." He sighed.

"Ti si ,dab taht ton s'ti? (It's not that bad, is it?)" Zane asked and Cole shook his head. "Sorry, Zane, you tried to lead, but I guess it just didn't work out." Jay then looked at Selena. "You wouldn't have a spell to fix Zane." Selena looked through her book. "Sadly not. Magic can enhance technology, but not fix it." She let out a saddened sigh. "No money, no scroll. And it couldn't have happened at a worse time." Kaya said before Jay looked at them. "What are you, a bunch of quitters? Sure, we can't understand Zane, but did we ever? But now I'm in charge. We may not have the money to buy the Scroll, but I say we don't need it." Cole looked at him confused.

"And why's that?" He asked and Jay smirked. "Because, we're gonna steal it!" The others looked at him shocked. "You can't be serious. We're not thieves." Selena said in an annoyed tone. "Yeah, but we're stealing from a thief. Haven't you ever heard, two wrongs make a right?" Jay argued and Kaya pinched her nose bridge. "Uh, Jay, that's not how it goes." Zane nodded in agreement. "Thgir a ekam t'nod sgnorw owt" s'ti. (It's 'two wrongs don't make a right.)" He said and Kaya nodded. But Jay rolled his eyes. "Shut it, mush mouth. I'm the leader and what I say goes. After Ronin locks up tonight, we steal the scroll of airjitzu." The others sighed.

Near Stiix had Morro summoned Soul Archer, one of his friends. "You summoned me?" He said and Morro nodded with a sigh. "Ugh, I need help to procure the first clue that will lead me to the tomb of the first spinjitzu master. Ronin has the scroll of airjitzu." This made Soul Archer look at him. "Ronin? Hmm, he owes our queen a large debt." He said. "But he's on Stiix." Morro nervously said and Soul Archer looked at him. "The village built on water? A deathtrap for ghosts." Suddenly Morro held his head, feeling weak.

"This armor, it weakens me. At the same time, Lloyd is fighting my possession." Soul Archer grabbed his shoulder. "Then let my bow give you strength and point the way." Soon he shot an arrow into the air, hitting a sign that turned into a ghost sign. "Tonight, we will take what's ours." Morro nodded. "Our queen will be pleased. And give me what I want." They both soon headed towards Stiix.

Wu was meditating as Nya walked over to him with a full bucket. "Ugh, there. Bucket's full. Not so hard." She said before Wu noticed the bucket dropping. He soon saw that she tried putting a stopper on it. "The bucket is not full. Try again." Nya clenched her fists. "Ugh. This is impossible!" Wu shook his head. "This is not impossible. This is thinking outside the bucket. Going with the flow. Finding where you are weak." He said before Nya snapped. "I'm not weak! This bucket is weak!" She exclaimed and and kicked the bucket into the pond before storming off. "I'm trying to fill the bucket all day, it's never gonna happen! Face it, I'm not a water ninja, I'm a samurai! This is pointless! I filled the bucket! I'm good at everything else, why do I have to be good at filling buckets!? Go with the flow? I'll show you how I go!" Misako and Pyther came over and saw her storming off.

"It appears the day was a waste." Misako guessed and Wu shook his head. "On the contrary, I've finally discovered her weakness, feeling weak. She's good at so many things, but when put in a position to fail, she gives up. And because of her temper, she didn't even realize she's successfully completed the task. Her bucket is full." He pointed towards the bucket in the pond.

Night arrived and the ninja jumped from roof to roof, while Selena used her magic to fly in the air.

At Stiix, Jay reminded the ninja of their plan. "Remember, I'm in charge. We're not stealing the scroll, we're returning it to the library after we learn airjitzu." Jay reminded them and Cole shrugged. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." Suddenly Jay fell through a roof, making a woman scream. "Aah! Get out of here, you blue weirdo!" She shouted and slapped his face before he climbed up. "Let's try to be a little more quiet, shall we? Last I remember, we're ninja." He nervously said before they continued.

Ronin whistled as he prepared to close the shop, until he felt a presence behind him. He turned around to see Soul Archer aiming and arrow at him. "Huh? Soul Archer. I thought I was gonna have more time. I'm a little short. Maybe your queen can be kind." Soul Archer continued to glare at him. "I'll return for your debt later, but for now, I came for something else." He informed, making Ronin confused. "Uh, if this is about our last-Aah!" His eyes widened when Morro walked in. "Lloyd, you're a little late. Your friends were just here. Or should I call you by another name?" Ronin said.

Soul Archer looked at him in shock. "The ninja. They were already here?" Morro just glared at Ronin. "Where's the scroll of airjitzu?" He asked. "The scroll of Who-whatzu? Hey, love the armor. A little dinged up, but I'll make you a fair offer." Ronin tried to change the subject, before Morro grabbed the collar of his shirt. "Aah! I'll tell you what I told the ninja, it's not here. But I can get it for five hundred?" Suddenly they heard the ninja and Selena.

"How long can a lockpick spell take?" Jay was heard before Selena hissed back at him. "Some spells are more complicated. So shut up and let me concentrate!" Ronin was about to call out, before Morro covered his mouth and turned to Soul Archer. "Hide. Let them find it, then take it." Soul Archer nodded before they hid, just as the five finally got in. "Great, now we're already on the hook for breaking and entering." Cole complained as they started looking around. "I don't like sneaking around in the dark any more than you do, so let's just find the scroll and get out of here." Kaya answered.

Jay rolled his eyes. "Hey, when you guys were leaders, you never heard me complain. And if you don't like sneaking around, why become a ninja? And leave no stone unturned." He said before getting glares from the couple, shutting up quickly as they continued to look around. Ronin was tied up and gagged with duct tape, grunting. "Not a word." Morro hushed him. Selena looked around before she stopped and her eyes widened. "They're here." She said, making the ninja's eyes widen. "Morro. Wait, what do you mean. They're here?" Cole asked before Soul Archer possessed an organ, grabbing Jay.

"Aah! Holy pipes! The organ's got me!" He exclaimed. "Aqua sentia!" Selena shouted and sent a wave of water towards the organ, but Soul Archer escaped before he could get hit. "Sdneirf s'orroM fo eno rehtona! (Another one of Morro's friends!)" Zane exclaimed and Kaya looked at him. "I think he said. Another one of Morro's friends." Morro suddenly came out of hiding. "And there's more where that came from!" He grinned and summoned more ghosts. "We're gonna need more water." Cole said and Selena held up her hand. "I can't take on all them." She said as she shot water on some ghosts.

Ronin managed to get the tape off and turned to Kaya. "Cut me free." Kaya shook her head. "Not until you give us the scroll. You're not the only one who can make a deal remember." She said and Ronin groaned. "Then at least take an aeroblade and get rid of a few of these ghosts." He pointed towards the aeroblades before Kaya turned to him. "You said they were hard to come by." A mischievous grin appeared on Ronin's face. "I'm a businessman, that was business. This is personal. Now cut me free." He said while Kaya grabbed the blades.

"Not before we check out the merchandise." She said and used the blade to destroy a ghost. "Huh? They worked! Try these!" The others grabbed a blade each, destroying more ghosts. Ronin groaned before seeing Jay's blade flying towards him. He used it to cut himself free, just to start fighting Morro. "Where is the scroll?" Morro hissed and Ronin glared at him. "You'll never find it!" He exclaimed before kicking Morro into a vase the broke, revealing the scroll. "The scroll!" Everyone exclaimed before Morro looked at the ninja and Selena. "Only one of us shall possess it." He reached towards it before Ronin grabbed it. "Yeah, me!" Suddenly he whistled and jumped outside, flying off on R.E.X. "Ah, I told you his ship wasn't far!" Jay grunted and Morro smirked towards them.

"Sorry to leave you hanging, but since this scroll's so important, I can't just give it away." Suddenly Morro used wind to push him off the ship. Ronin tried to whistle, but he couldn't. So he ran off, followed by Morro, the ninja and Selena. The only one left was Soul Archer who pointed an arrow into the sky. "Run, run, run away. My arrow will find you anyway." He let go of the arrow that flew after Ronin, but he shielded himself with a sign. "Right. Unh, that was close." Ronin said before Morro knocked him to the ground. "But so am I." Soon he took the scroll and ran off. "Ah, no! Morro's got the scroll. We can't let him get away!" Jay exclaimed before he and the others chased after him.

Suddenly he fell through a roof again. "Aah! Not again!" The woman inside shouted before the others continued. They used a telephone wire to swing to another building, but Zane was sadly left behind. "Etanutrofnu s'taht. (That's unfortunate.)" He sighed. The three continued forward, but Cole soon fell of a building thanks to a too short jump. "Cole!" Kaya said before jumping down to him. "Go Selena. We meet up later." Selena nodded and continued to chase after Morro.

She soon reached the docks and saw Morro use his powers to jump between poles. "Okay. Let's do this." With a sigh she started to jump towards him before Morro came to the last pole. "You have nowhere to go." Selena said before Morro grinned. "Oh, really?" He soon read the scroll and preformed airjitzu. "What's the matter? Lost your broomstick?" Selena growled before she was about to use a spell, when strangle weed suddenly grabbed her. Morro laughed before summoning his dragon.

"Looks like the better ninja won." With that he flew off as Selena tried getting free. That's when Ronin arrived on R.E.X. and looked at her. "Looks like you could use some help. But nothing in life is free." Selena glared at him. "You fucking greedy dick head! I don't have money on me. So just help me!" She hissed and Ronin shook his head. "Everyone's got something. Because of you, my shop's destroyed." He said. "We didn't destroy it. You did!" Selena argued before Ronin rolled his eyes. "Okay, your loss." He started flying off before Selena sighed. "Wait! There is something." She exclaimed before Ronin stopped and came back to her with a smirk. "Ha! Like I said, everyone's got something." He said and Selena just glared at him.

The ninja met up by a table. "Ugh, so after all this, Morro gets airjitzu and we're left with zip? I hate being leader, but I hate losing even more." Jay sighed and Zane nodded in agreement. "Eerga I. (I agree.)" Soon they saw Selena arriving with Ronin. "We didn't lose everything. At least we're all okay. Tomorrow, me and Kaya command, and we'll figure something out." Cole said before Selena turned towards Ronin. "Thanks for the pick-me-up." She said, a hint of hatred in her voice. "Remember what I said about second chances, and I'm gonna hold you that deal. So long, and I hope you get your friend back." Ronin answered before flying off.

The ninja looked at her confused. "Second chances? What did he mean by that?" Kaya asked. "We may have lost out on the scroll, but he thinks there may be another way to learn airjitzu." Selena answered and they all smiled. "We're still gonna fly? Really? Another way?" Jay said while smiling. "Swen taerg si siht. (This is great news.)" Zane spoke up happily. Suddenly Cole thought about something. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a sec, Ronin makes deals in his favor. How did you make a deal with him this time?" He asked and Selena looked away while sighing. "I sort of gave him...my shares of the tea farm...along with all of yours." She answered and the ninja looked at her in shock.

"You what!?" Jay cried out. "Swen elbirroh s'taht! (That's horrible news!)" Zane added before Selena glared at them. "I did what I had to, and for Lloyd, I'd do it again." Kaya sighed and nodded. "She's right. We would have done the same. So we shouldn't be hard on her." Cole nodded. "Exactly. But I have to ask, if Morro has the only scroll, just how are we gonna learn airjitzu?" He asked and Selena looked at them. "Let's just say, it's not gonna be easy. We have a ghost of a chance." She answered, making the others feel concerned and nervous about what was gonna happen.
