My dinner with Nadakhan

The NGTV helicopter flew over the the new Djinjago, filming it all. "Ninjago News Air Traffic control, Gayle Gossip with breaking news. For weeks, everyone has been stumped as to why prime real estate of Ninjago has simply vanished into thin air. Well, consider the mystery solved. They are in thin air. Directly above us are the missing remains. I'm staring at it right now, folks. Literally, chunks of Ninjago reassembled into what looks like...Hold on, I think I see someone flying towards us. Maybe they can provide more clarity." She said as some sky pirates flew over, only to attack them.

"More breaking news. Literally, my news chopper is breaking apart. The people of this floating island do not provide more clarity. They provide more cannon fire! Dangerous cannon fire! This is Gayle Gossip signing off, hoping I can still land this thing." Gayle said as the helicopter went down for a landing. Jay was cleaning the deck of Nadakhan's ship, his foot having a vengestone shackle around it. "Looks like you missed a spot." Nadakhan said and spilled the bucket Jay was using to clean, making the blue ninja sigh. "I'm not gonna say it." He said and Nadakhan chuckled. "Say what? That you can wish it all away? Well, you can. You've already made your first two wishes, you have one left." Jay shook his head.

"My friends will come for me." This made Nadakhan grin. "I hope so. The more of you my Djinn Blade collects, the stronger I become. Creating a world from scratch takes a lot of hard work. Djinjago would get done a lot sooner if everyone pitches in, if you know what I mean." He said and threw the sword infront of Jay, screams of Jay's captured friends was heard, making Jay's eyes widen. "Care to say hello to your friends? Wish it. Wish it all away and join them. Wish it and you'll never have to pick up another scrub brush again." Nadakhan informed and Jay glared at him. "If I didn't have this Vengestone ball and chain, I'd zap you clean off this ship." He hissed.

Nadakhan seemed unbothered. 'Hmm. I can see why she likes you. You're stronger than you appear. But I know it's all an act. Deep down, you're scared. You know you're weak. You make jokes to mask that you're afraid. That's why you're always by her side, afraid to loose the first true love you've ever had. Believe me, aboard my ship, you will break. I will make sure of it. And when that time comes, I will be there, so you can wish it away." Jay thought about his words before scoffing. "Still not gonna say it." This made Nadakhan growl before turning to Flintlocke. "When he's done swabbing the deck, make sure he swabs the entire hull." Flintlocke looked at him with a questioning look. "The bottom of the ship, Captain?" He asked and Nadakhan grinned.

Jay soon was forced to clean the hull of the ship, almost falling in the process. "You're not afraid, are you, funny man?" Nadakhan asked and Jay just chuckled. "Ha! I love it!" This made Nadakhan growl more before he left.

On the island was Lloyd just returning after flying over the ocean to try to find land. He collapsed from his dragon, Cole catching him. "You okay? Did you see any land?" Cole asked and Lloyd shook his head. "Just water. I tried to reach the mainland, but it's too far. We won't be able to get off this island on our own." Suddenly Cole let out a small laugh. "What's so funny about our predicament?" Nya asked with an unamused expression. "Oh, I was just thinking about what Jay might say to that." Cole answered before making his voice higher pitched. "You're telling me we went through all that trouble to get the venom to stop Nadakhan, and now we have no way to get off this island!?" He soon chuckled with his normal voice. "Heh, gone one day and I already miss him spazzing out." Nya and Lloyd chuckled and nodded in agreement.

"Me too. He was heroic to collect the venom. But we should have helped him. And now he's captured and all alone." Nya said worriedly and Jay put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, Jay's strong. We'll get him back. It's like what Wu once told me, if you want something bad enough, you find a way to make it happen." Cole nodded in agreement. "He's right. If we can't fly off this island, and our boat is destroyed. Then we'll build our way. I've seen enough movies to know it's possible." The others smiled. "And if we've built a rocket of an asteroid, what's one raft a little-" Lloyd said before Nya interupted him. "Across an endless sea filled with unknown creatures that wanna eat us? Uh, that was my Jay impression. Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get building." They all chuckled before they got started on the boat building.

In Djinjago was Flintlocke showing Doubloon a blueprint if a zeppelin, not knowing that Jay was listening. "The Raid Zeppelin ain't made for speed. It's made for power, you understand?" He said and Doubloon nodded. Clancee meanwhile were talking to Jay while watching over him. "And before we each met Nadakhan, we were castaways. In one way or another, he brought us together and made us whole. Take D-Dogshank for instance. It's not easy being the second prettiest girl at the b-ball. She wished to stand out. Heh. Inevitably she did, but it ain't for being pretty. Oh, then there's Doubloon. A two-faced thief caught trying to steal N-Nadakhan's gold. He tried wishing his way out of his sentence, but cap was so impressed with his agility, he went ahead and actually made him two-faced. Oh, then Monkey Wretch wasn't always a monkey, but always a headache. Wished to be the greatest mechanic of his kind. T-t-too bad for him that kind was the mechanized primate variety." Jay wasn't really listening as he was thinking.

"If only I could get a message out to my friends." He thought as Clancee continued to talk. "But I never made a wish. No, no, no. Not I, heh. Couldn't think of anything to w-wish for, even if I tried. Got everything I need right here. Never fit in with the rest of the Serpentine, so I'm happy enough to have a family. Especially Flintlocke. He's the dad I never had. He took me under his arm with glee." Suddenly Jay saw Flintlocke and Doubloon walk off while leaving the blueprint, so he started to groan. "Ow! Oh, my back! Ugh! Oh, that's it. If only I could wish this pain away." Clancee's eyes widened. "Huh? What did you say?" He asked as Jay kept groaning. "I've finally reached my breaking point." Clancee stood up. "J-Just hold on. Captain! Captain! You need to come here! We broke him! We finally broke him!" He exclaimed and ran off to get Nadakhan.

Jay smirked and ran over to the blueprint and grabbed a quill before writing on the blueprint backside. "Friends, if you find this, I am doing fine. Please don't worry aboutme. Worry about stopping Nadakhan. Your friend, Jay." Suddenly he heard Nadakhan heading his way. "I told you not to take your eye off him!" Nadakhan said and Jay quickly put the letter in a bottle and ran off. Nadakhan saw this and growled. "You let him escape? Find him!" He exclaimed and Jay got chased by the crew, jumping onto a zeppelin while taunting them. "Haha! Bye-bye! Nadakhan growled. "What are you staring at? Get him!" The pirates jumped after Jay who jumped onto what looked like a mine, making the sky pirates laugh.

"You seem to have landed on a sky mine. One shot from Flintlocke and kaboom." Nadakhan said and Jay looked down before sighing. "All right, I surrender." He dropped the message into the sea before getting thrown into a cell. Later Flintlocke walked up to him. "You hungry?" Jay scoffed. "Does it matter?" Flintlocke sighed. "Captain would like to see you for dinner. Ain't a request. It's an order." He removed the vengestone shackle and pointed his gun at him. Jay got lead into Nadakhan's room, the table full of food. "Mm. Please, please, eat something. You must be famished. But I must warn you, don't try anything foolish. I aim to have manners around the dinner table." Nadakhan told him and Jay reluctantly sat down.

"Don't think you can butter me up like a bread roll, and expect me to make my last wish." Jay said and Nadakhan chuckled. "Mm. No, no, no, I would never dream. Please, eat. I simply want your company." Soon Jay started to eat, being starved. "Though we are from different worlds, we share something in common. Hmm? An affinity for a special someone." Nadakhan said and Jay shook his head. "Mm. Sorry, pal, I don't know who this lost love of yours is, but she ain't Nya. She already has me and have her own choice. So she won't be yours." An amused scoff came from Nadakhan. "Maybe. Hmm. But I have made up my own mind. All my life, I've been blessed with the ability to grant wishes for others, but cursed to have none of my own. Though born unto a king, everything that is mine, I've had to work for. This food, this ship, this crew." He said.

Jay looked at him. "That accent?" This made Nadakhan grunt. "Truth be told, I don't care about a new world nor winning Nya's heart." He informed, making Jay confused. "Then why are you doing all of this?" Nadakhan moved closer. "Oh, I don't need her heart. I only need her hand...in marriage. Because when a Djinn prince becomes king on Djinn land, he is bestowed the greatest gift of all." His voice filled with mischief. "Love?" Jay asked and Nadakhan chuckled. "No. Infinite wishes." This made Jay's eyes widen in shock and disgust. "You never loved Delara. You only loved what she could give you." Nadakhan looked at him with a grin. "And after I take your friends, and take your home, Nya will be mine, and no one will be able to stop me. I will be more powerful than anyone can ever imagine." Jay tried to shock him, bit blocked and knocked him out. "Too slow, junkyard boy." He grinned before as Dogshank carried Jay back to his cell.

The other ninja were working on their raft. "One more round of palm ties, and I'd say she's secure enough for sea." Lloyd pointed out and Nya started to wonder. "Why is it all sea vessels are shes?" She asked. "I don't know. Because it takes a lot of paint to make them look good?" Cole answered before he and Lloyd laughed, before earning a glare from Nya which made them stop laughing. "I kid, I kid. Lighten up, water lily." Nya scoffed be letting out a small giggle. "Well, you do not lie." They all chuckled before Lloyd noticed that his ties was gone. "Hey, uh, did anyone take my ties?" He asked. "Not me." Cole answered. "I didn't touch them." Nya said and Lloyd scratched his head. "Huh. I could've sworn they were right here. All this sun must be baking my brain. I'm going back into the jungle to collect some more." He walked into the jungle, leaving Nya and Cole.

"You know, I think the real reason sailors name ships after women is because we name them after the most important people in our lives. Mothers, wives, sisters, the people we trust to protect us when life gets choppy. Like Kaya." Cole said with a sigh. "Yeah. Jay have always trusted me, and I've always trusted him. If only I could have helped him, then he wouldn't have gotten captured." Nya answered before Cole gave her a comforting smile. "Don't blame yourself. We did what we could. What we can do now is to get off this island and save him." This made Nya smile before noticing that her hammer was gone. "Huh. Where's my hammer? It was right here." Suddenly Cole sensed something underground. "There's something in the ground, get off the ground!" He exclaimed before he and Nya jumped onto the raft.

Nya saw how something moved underground. "What is that." Cole shook his head. "I don't know, but I think I know how things go missing. We better stay quiet." But Lloyd suddenly came back. "Hey, guys! Look at how many palm fronds I found!" He loudly said and Nya looked at him in worry. "Lloyd, get off the-" Before she could finish, a giant worm beast emerged from the ground. "Are you kidding me?" Lloyd said before using airjitzu to reach a palm tree. Another beast appeared and they both charged at the raft. Cole and Nya dodged them before it got destroyed. "There goes our raft." Nya said and Cole grunted. "Just another day at the beach." The worm beasts turned towards them. "This way! To higher ground!" Lloyd exclaimed and Cole quickly used airjitzu to get into a palm.

Nya got surrounded by the beasts before successfully using airjitzu to fly towards Cole and Lloyd, landing beside them. "Hey, you just did airjitzu for the first time." Lloyd said and Nya smirked. "You want something bad enough, you find a way to make it happen." They all looked as the beasts destroyed the raft fully. "We need to get off this island." Lloyd sighed and the others nodded.

Jay continued to mop the deck, getting irritated when seagulls pooped on it just as he cleaned it. "Ugh. So that's why they call it the poop deck." He complained while Clancee and Monkey Wretch was arguing. "That's your side of the story, Monkey Wretch. The way I see it, I can use my free time as I like. And if I want to clean up then I have my right to do so." Clancee said and Flintlocke walked up to them. "Clancee's right. Just because there's a new low man on the totem pole, don't mean Clancee has to give up his chores." He answered and Clancee smiled. "Thank you, Flintlocke. It relaxes me. I told you I was in the right." Clancee said before he left with Monkey Wretch.

"The crew listens to you." Jay pointed out and Flintlocke smiled. "Nadakhan is a good captain. My job is to just make sure his ship runs smoothly." He answered and Jay sighed. "But how do you make sure everything runs smoothly when your captain doesn't tell you everything you need to know?" This made Flintlocke curious. "Oh, yeah? Like what?" Jay looked at him with a serious expression. "It's nice of you all to help him make this world..." Flintlocke rolled his eyes. "Djinjago is for all of us." He argued.

Jay shook his head. "Maybe. But how long do you think he'll keep you around when he gets infinite wishes?" That statement made Flintlocke's eyes widen a little. "Everybody knows, Nadakhan don't get no wishes and ain't nobody can wish for that." He said, though a hint of deniel could barely be detected. "That's not what he told me. After a djinn prince marries on djinn land, he gets it all. And I've seen how he looks at Nya, reminding him of his Delara. But what do I know? Heh, I'm just the low man on the totem pole. You've helped him build so much. I'm sure he'll need you around when he can wish for anything. But listen to me. The crew listens to you. If you're gonna stage a mutiny, now is the time. Before he's all powerful. Don't let him take advantage." Jay said and Flintlocke thought about it, until Nadakhan appeared.

"What lies is our little canary whistling now, hmm? Perhaps another ploy to escape?" Nadakhan asked and Jay glared at him. "It's true. He's the one that's lying. He told me everything at dinner." Flintlocke scoffed. "Right, and I have trouble shooting water in an ocean." Both of them laughed before Nadakhan grinned at Jay. "Oh, we're being too hard on our guest. Perhaps it's time we involve him in some of our on-ship entertainment?" This made Flintlocke smirk. "You don't mean Scrap-N-Tap, do you?" Jay looked at them in confusion as they laughed. "Uh, what's Scrap-N-Tap?" He nervously asked before being taken to an arena, Monkey Wretch grinning at him.

"The rules are simple. May the best one win. Let the scrap begin!" Nadakhan announced and the pirates cheered while Jay looked at his vengestone shackle. "Take this thing off and let's make this a fair fight." He said and Nadakhan grinned. "Fair? Haha. We're pirates!" Before Jay could react, Monkey Wretch attacked him. He blocked the best as he could, but soon got knocked right into a barrel. Monkey Wretch screeched before jumping out of the ring "All right, you had your fun. I'm tapping out. Who's next?" Jay asked and Nadakhan shook his head.

"Oh, no. The loser doesn't tap out, only the winner does. You have to stay in until someone else loses. Who's next?" Doubloon was next and quickly defeated Jay who got more and more beaten up. "This may go on all day, unless you want to wish it all away. Just say the words and it'll all be over." Nadakhan said and Jay clenched his fists before standing up. "Bring it on." He said and Nadakhan growled. "Next." Dogshank walked up to Jay who gulped. Night arrived and the sky pirates went to sleep. Jay was back in his cell, his eye seriously damaged during the fighting. Clancee walked up to his cell with some food. "Well, you have to eat. You f-fought really well. You held your own like a real pirate. You should have this to look the part. Especially to cover up that damage." He left the food, aswell as an eye patch before leaving.

Jay put on the eye patch and looked into a puddle of water. "Just like my future vision. Guess it's coming true. And because we all saw ourselves as old and okay. There's still hope. Oh Nya, we'll see eachother again. I swear on it." He smiled before Flintlocke walked up to him. "Psst. You always talk to yourself?" Jay grunted. "Only when I thought I was by myself. What do you want now?" He asked. "Maybe you're right. Maybe Nadakhan doesn't need us after all of this. But the only way we're gonna stage a mutiny is if we can get his sword away from him. You think you can handle that?" Flintlocke answered and Jay scoffed. "What am I supposed to do? I'm the one locked up down here." Flintlocke looked around before whispering to him.

"Wait until he's asleep and make your move. We'll be right behind you." He dropped a key into Jay's cell before leaving. Jay looked after him confused before grabbing the key and opened the cell. With his ninja stealth he snuck into Nadakhan's room and saw the siluett of the sword. He quickly grabbed it before the lights turned on, revealing that it wasn't the real sword. The sky pirates laughed at him as Flintlocke grinned. "I told you we'd be right behind you." Jay groaned as Nadakhan smirked. "Well, I was wrong, he did fall for it." Clancee nodded. "Yeah. Even I'm not that pinheaded." Soon Nadakhan looked at the crew. "If we're all up, I guess we have time for another round of Scrap-N-Tap." This made the crew cheer while Nadakhan grinned at Jay. "That is, unless you want to wish it all away. Huh? Go ahead, make your wish." He said and Jay lowered his head in defeat.

The other ninja meanwhile had finished the raft, Lloyd sighing in relief. "All right, we've finished the raft." Cole nodded. "Now all we gotta do is get it to the water." He sighed before Nya smirked. "Leave that to me. While you were working on that, I was working on this." She pulled on a rope that made a catapult fire coconuts onto the ground, attracting the worm beasts towards them. "They're distracted! Go!" Nya exclaimed and they quickly grabbed the raft and ran towards the water. "It's working!" Lloyd said before the catapult stopped working, making the beasts turn towards the ninja. "Aah. Coconuts? It stopped working!" Cole exclaimed before they used the raft to shield them from attack.

"The raft isn't gonna protect us much longer! We can't get to the ocean!" Cole said and Nya looked at the ocean. "Then I'll bring the ocean to us." She said before spraying the beasts with a powerful jet of water, knocking then back long enough to move the the water closer to them. They quickly jumped onto the raft and made it off the island. "You did it!" Cole said before the raft started to break. "Yeah, but the raft is too damaged. It's falling apart." Nya said and Cole started to panic. "Oh, no! I can't touch water!" He exclaimed, when a helicopter suddenly appeared. "Anyone need a lift?" Ronin asked as he opened up for them. "Whoa! It's Ronin! Oh, I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful sight." Lloyd said before they jumped in.

"Oh, by golly, we found you." The commissioner said and Nya looked at him in confusion. "But how?" She asked. "We learned you chartered a boat. Following storm patterns, we looked-" Simon said before Tommy interupted him. "Uh, detective work, ma'am. We're detectives. We detect things." Cole soon got a little nervous. "Wait. Did you come all this way to arrest us?" The commissioner shook his head. "Arrest you? Oh, gosh no. We came to rescue you. After you saved our city from the sky pirates, we finally realized who's side you're fighting on. I was wrong to distrust you, Lloyd. That's on me." The ninja smiled in relief before Ronin held up a bottle with Jay's message. "But saving one more is on us. We got a message from Jay. What say we get him back?" He asked with a smirk.
