All of nothing

In Ninjago city was a venemari snake running away from the ninja. He ran into an alleyway, but quickly got surrounded by the ninja using their power. "Going somewhere?" Cole asked before they all held their weapons against his throat. "Thought you could walk through town and not be noticed? Where's the last fangblade?" Jay demanded and the snake nervously laughed.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Kaya glared at him. "Don't play dumb. The last fangblade. When Pythor finds them all, he plans to unleash the Great Devourer." The snake then grinned. "Oh, that fangblade. Haha, you're too late. Pythor's probably already digging it up. If I were you, I'd start preparing for the worst. Because when the great devourer has awakened, there will be nothing it won't eat!" He exclaimed before Zane thought a little.

"Doesn't that mean it'll eat you too?" Now the snake got scared. "Ah! Please, you have to stop him. He's crazy. I don't wanna unleash the Great Devourer. I'm a snake, not food!" The ninja looked at him. "Is it really too late to stop Pythor from getting the fangblade?" Kaya asked and the snake shook his head. "You're days behind him. There's gotta be something else you can do!" All four looked at eachother.

Later on the Bounty were everyone locating the last fangblade. "The venemari was right. By the time we cast sail across the other side of Ninjago, Pythor will have already beaten us to the last fangblade." Nya said and Jay grunted. "Oh, come on, guys. This is the last one. We gotta get it. We gotta think of something." All started to think, before Lloyd spoke. "Hey." They all turned to him. "What is it Green bean?" Kaya asked.

"We just have to get one fangblade to stop him. What if we take the other three? Pythor would never risk having them all on him. He's probably hidden them somewhere while he goes for the fourth." Lloyd said and the others looked at him impressed. "Ha, that was very smart, Green bean." Kaya clapped his shoulder and Lloyd smiled. "It can't be that easy." Jay stated and Zane did looked through his algorithm. "My algorithms suggest, taking the other three would be far more dangerous. Pythor would undoubtedly have them protected by his top generals." The others nodded.

"Then that means, we have to give them everything we got." Kaya said. "Even if you could steal the other three, you don't even know where they are." Garmadon argued and Wu nodded. "He's right. For the past few weeks, there have been almost no Serpentine sightings. How are they moving around? It's like they're ghosts." Nya then realized something. "Or snakes. Bridge, give me a sonar sweep of Ninjago." The map showed no signs of snakes. "I don't think that's gonna work, sis." Kaya informed.

Nya smirked. "But what if they aren't traveling above ground? They're snakes, right? Snakes burrow. Bridge, now give me a sonar sweep of Ninjago but twenty feet below surface." Suddenly showed activity underground. "All the tombs have been interconnected. To make one massive underground fortress." Cole said in shock. "And all this time, right under our noses." Jay said before Zane looked at him. "Technically, our feet." Jay just sighed.

Kaya soon saw where the right spot was. At the constrictal tomb. "There, that's the most protected area. The fangblades must be held there." Wu turned to everyone. "Then what are we waiting for? Nya, set the course." Nya nodded. "Already on it. We'll be there by sunrise." The next day, the ninja were training on fighting the different serpentine without the flute.

"There is no room for error. The Serpentine have shown that they have great powers, and to combat them, you must turn their greatest strengths into their greatest weaknesses. Kaya, how will you defeat the Hypnobrai?" Wu asked and Kaya put on a blindfold. "Their hypnotizing powers are useless if their opponents can fight without relying on their eyes." Wu nodded and turned to Jay. "Good, Jay, the Fangpyre is fast and his bite sharp." Jay looked at his armored arm. "But if he can't bite through your skin. He can't turn you into one of them." He smirked.

Wu turned to Cole. "Yes. Cole, the Constrictal are strong. And they will not let go." A net wrapped around Cole's body tightly. "But instead of fighting back, one must try to loosen up. And a little soft shoe doesn't hurt." He said before getting loose. "Zane, the venom of the Venemari can make you see things. Cloud your perception." Wu turned to Zane who activated his new upgrade. "Then I will use my new falcon vision." He waved at the falcon who squawked back.

Wu nodded proudly at the ninja. "Very good. I've trained you well. You are all ready." The ninja looked at him confused. "What about you, Sensei? Will you fight? We need all the help we can get." Kaya asked and Wu shook his head. "My concern is that my old bones cannot keep up, but I will be there in spirit." Suddenly Nya spoke through the communicator. "We're arriving at the Mountain of a Million Steps. You all might want to see this." Everyone arrived at the bridge.

They all saw big dirt piles around the mountain. "Wonder what those snakes are up to." Kaya said before Lloyd came running towards them. "Wait for me." Wu stopped him. "This is not your fight. The green ninja is too important for a future destiny. You shall stay with me." Nya soon came with her samurai mech. On it was a seat. "Well, he's gonna have to look after himself, because we made room for you." She said and Kaya nodded.

"Well, you said you were concerned that you couldn't keep up, so Jay and Nya added to the design so you could come along. Well, what do you think?" Wu chuckled. "I think...shotgun! Haha!" He jumped on. Garmadon walked up and put his hand on Lloyd's shoulder. "I will stay back with Lloyd. I don't enjoy saying this but...good luck." The others nodded before heading into the tomb.

Inside of the tomb was completely empty. No signs of snakes. "I thought you said this place would be heavily guarded, Zane." Jay said and Zane shrugged. "Forgive me. Even nindroids make mistakes." Cole then pointed at some wall paintings of the ninja. "Hey, check this out." They all looked at them and scoffed. "Pfft. That doesn't even look like me." Jay said. "Ugh, they're gonna pay for that." Kaya groaned. "I mean, at least give me a decent mustache." Cole said and touched the wall.

As he did, a secret passage was revealed. "Yeah, totally meant to do that." Cole claimed, but the others knew that it was just luck. They headed inside and saw the other generals talking. "So, what happens when the Great Devourer is unleashed? Will it really eat everything?" Fangtom asked and Skalidor nodded. "I hope so, if only to teach them on the surface a lesson for locking us underground for so many years." Acidicus grinned. "Who knows if the legend is even true? I for one am curious to see what happens." Skales slithered up to them.

"Keep alert, Pythor should be back soon." He said and the generals nodded. "There's too many to deal with at once. I say we travel by shadow." Kaya whispered and the others nodded before heading slowly down. At the Bounty was Garmadon downloading files. But Lloyd came in and quickly shut down the computer. He turned around and saw Lloyd's disappointed face. "You're stealing!? Dad, my friends are risking their lives to save Ninjago, and you go behind their backs to gain an advantage!?" Lloyd said, feeling betrayed.

Garmadon sighed. "I'm sorry, but I can't help it. Ever since the Devourer bit me, evil runs through my blood." Lloyd looked down saddened. "You left me for so long. Where did you go?" Garmadon looked away. "Son, there are places in this world with nothing good. Dark places." He said and Lloyd sighed. "Is that where Sensei found you?" Garmadon nodded. "You know how I've always wanted those Golden Weapons. Well, this place allowed me the power to possess them." He said, feeling guilty deep down.

Lloyd's eyes started to water. "But why didn't you take me with you?" His voice breaking a little. Garmadon put a hand on his shoulder. "Every boy has a choice to grow up, to be whoever they want to be. But I never had that choice. Because I was bitten. But you still have a choice. You don't need to be like me, Lloyd. Your uncle has a plan for you, and even though it may be to stop me one day, we have to follow our own destiny. And after I help the ninja stop Pythor, I'll need to leave again." Lloyd's face got an angry expression as angry tears ran down his face.

He smacked away Garmadon's hand. Small green sparks coming from his hand. "Then why don't you just leave now!?" Garmadon stared at him in shock. "Lloyd." But Lloyd interupted him. "No, really! Go back to whatever evil place you came from!" Nya's voice was soon heard. "All right, Operation Stealth was a total bust. We're gonna need reinforcements. Anyone there!?" Garmadon went to answer, but Lloyd smacked his hand away. The green sparks making Garmadon flinch. "We don't want your help, and we don't need you here. Maybe it would've been better if you hadn't come at all." Lloyd said while wiping his tears.

Garmadon looked down saddened. "If...if that's the way you feel." He soon left as Lloyd tried to help the ninja. The others were completely surrounded by snakes. "Lloyd, can you hear me? Ugh, I'm not getting anything." Nya said as Wu poured scolding tea onto a snake. "Forget them. We need to fight back. Ninja, show them what you've learned!" The ninja fought the snakes. Using everything they've learned, they managed to defeat each tribe. Kaya pointed at the fangblades in the middle of the room. "Look, the Fangblades!" They all ran towards them, when suddenly their hands got trapped.

Pythor's laugh was heard as he arrived. "Oh, can this get any better? Seriously, they fell right into my trap." He grinned. "Oh fuck, this isn't good." Kaya said, hoping someone would help them soon. Lloyd meanwhile were trying to help by pressing buttons. He then ran and changed into his green ninja outfit. Luckily, Kaya had sewed it in for him.

"Lloyd? Lord Garmadon? Is anyone there?" Nya said through the communicator. "It's me, Nya. I'm here. But my dad left. How are you guys holding on?" Lloyd asked. "We're fine, but we're a little held up at the moment. Our weapons have been taken, and we're locked in a cage." Nya said with a sigh. "And Pythor's returned with the last fangblade." Cole added. "Lloyd, where did your father go?" Zane asked. Lloyd looked at the side a little. "I told him to leave. He was trying to steal secrets." Kaya sighed. "Not surprised." She said.

"My dad's going back to where he came from. But don't worry, I'll save you." Wu shook his head. "You're not ready, Lloyd. Your destiny is too great to risk." Cole looked down before looking at Wu. "I hate to break it to you, Sensei, but if we don't get out of here before Pythor unleashes the Great Devourer, I think this will be the end of all our destinies." He said and the others nodded in agreement.

Pythor spoke up. "Together, we have taken back the four Fangblades. Together we will unleash the Great Devourer! So to the city of Ouroboros!" The snakes cheered and celebrated with a slither pit. Lloyd meanwhile started climbing the mountain. "Don't worry. The green ninja will save you!" He exclaimed before tripping. "Ugh. I'm okay. I can't give up." He continued before he reached the opening. "Okay. Now's just to get down." Carefully he climbed down and reached the chamber, spotting the others.

They were more chained after Kaya tried using hair gel to get their weapons. But they sadly got caught by Pythor. Kaya looked up and saw Lloyd. "Hey, look up there. It's Lloyd." The others turned towards Lloyd and got a little nervous. Lloyd looked over the snakes and felt his heart beat. He wasn't use to fight, especially not this many. But he slapped himself. "Come on, Lloyd. You're the green ninja. You can do this." With a determined look, he headed down. Before slipping, making him fall down the stairs.

The others cringed while the snakes looked confused. "Ugh. Not what I planned, but okay. Well, so we meet again, Pythor. Unhand the ninja, or suffer humiliation against the Green Ninja!" Lloyd said and the snakes just laughed. "Oh, yeah? You and what army?" Pythor grinned as Lloyd stood there dumbfounded. He didn't really plan this far. "Uh, how about my army of fists?" With that he punched the air, almost falling. This just made the snakes laugh more.

"Or how about this army?!" Everyone turned to see Garmadon with the army of skeletons. "Dad!" Garmadon smiled at Lloyd. "Lloyd, you helped me realize that I do have a choice. And if there's anyone who is going to threaten Ninjago, it better well be me." Pythor glared at him. "The Skeleton army? But why would they fight beside you? You betrayed them and Samukai long ago." Kruncha looked at him. "Because everybody hate snakes!" With that, the snakes and skeletons started to fight.

Lloyd freed the others before they fell into acid. "Told you I'd save you." He smirked and Kaya nudged him. "Good work, Green bean." They grabbed their weapons and fought the snakes aswell. Pythor tried to slither away, when Cole took the fangblades. But before he got captured, ge disappeared. "Where did he go?" Cole exclaimed. "Who cares? We have the fangblades. Let's get out of here." Kaya said before they headed out. "Don't worry about us. We'll keep fighting the good fight." Nuckal shouted and earned a nod from Kaya.

Kruncha chuckled. "I never thought I'd be saying this, but go, ninja, go!" He said as they continued to fight. The group soon arrived at the Bounty with the fangblades and headed off. Later, Lloyd saw Garmadon packing. "You're leaving?" He asked with a saddened voice. Garmadon turned to him and nodded. "Now that you are safe, and the ninja have the fangblades, there is nothing else I am needed for." Lloyd sighed.

"I need you. I know you have to leave, but know this. When we meet again, I'm gonna do everything in my power to defeat you." Garmadon chuckled. "I wouldn't have it any other way. Oh, and, son? You're a good boy. Soon, you'll be a great man. Although we're now on opposite sides, I'm still very proud of you." The two hugged and Lloyd shedded some tears. Soon Garmadon left and Lloyd headed to the others who were celebrating.

Kaya walked up to him. "He left, didn't he?" Lloyd nodded and Kaya hugged him. She then handed him a glass of punch. "Here, have some snogfruit punch. Cole made it, and it's actually pretty good. To Lloyd's dad!" She said. "Lloyd's Dad!" The others joined in. Lloyd held up his glass. "To Dad!" Wu turned to Lloyd. "Tomorrow, we arrive at Torchfire mountain, to destroy these fangblades once and for all. And it couldn't have been done without your father. I'm going to miss him." Lloyd smiled as he joined the celebration.

What they didn't know, was that Pythor was on the ship. Grinning over their nativity. "You're going to miss more than him when I get through with you, ninja." He laughed before turning invisible again.
