Malinda had secretly dreaded this day, Halloween. Even though Merula and Ismelda noticed that Malinda had become more nervous and uneasy as it came to Halloween day, they didn't bother to ask as they were unsure if Malinda would give them a solid answer. When it was time for the Halloween feast, Malinda was nowhere to be seen in the Great Hall. Merula was sitting with Ismelda and Barnaby, and she noticed that Malinda wasn't anywhere in the Great Hall.

Merula: ( to Ismelda and Barnaby: ) Have you two seen Malinda today?

Ismelda: Nope.

Barnaby: I think I saw her walking towards the dungeons.

Merula: ( to Barnaby: ) Then go get her.

Barnaby: Sure. It can't be that hard to find Malinda.

( In the Dungeons )

Barnaby went into the dungeons to look for Malinda, thinking she could be in Slytherin's common room, but only to find that a massive red dragon with orange markings in the hall, laying on the ground on its stomach as the room was too small for it.

( A/n: Feel free to comment on what you think as to how the dragon got into the dungeons. )

The dragoness turned to Barnaby with her bright green eyes and slitted pupils, Barnaby stood there in complete shock and awe.

Barnaby: ( to the dragon, in pure awe: ) Well, aren't you a beaut-

Dragoness: ( roars at Barnaby as her body began to heat up, making burn marks on the floor beneath her and the ceiling above her )

Barnaby ran out of the dungeons as the dragoness fired at blast of fire towards him. He quickly closed the doors to the dungeons before the blast could hit him.

Barnaby: Okay, they're a cranky one. They must be stuck, I need to get the teachers so they could get the poor thing out of there before they hurt themselves.-

Suddenly the dungeon doors ripped out of their hinges and Barnaby backed away as the dragoness began trying to squeeze through the doorframe to try to get out of the dungeons.

( Slight Time Skip, In the Great Hall in the middle of the feast )

Merula and Ismelda were still waiting at the Slytherin table for Barnaby to come back to the Great Hall

Merula: What is taking that numbskull so long with finding Burns-

Barnaby then opened the doors to the Great Hall and ran inside with a panicked look on his face as he was now covered in ash and there was a tiny flame on the tip of his hair.

Barnaby: ( Yells, to everyone: ) Dragon! In the castle! Massive, cranky dragon in the castle!

Dumbledore stood up from his seat while everyone was looking at Barnaby.

Barnaby: Thought you otta know.

Barnaby then passes out, face first, onto the floor, out of exhaustion from running all the way there. Causing almost all the students, except Merula and Ismelda, to scream and panic as they tried to run out while Merula and Ismelda just walked to the passed out Barnaby on the floor.

Merula: ( pinches the bridge of her nose ) ( quietly, to self: ) He had one job, find Malinda, not a dragon-

Dumbledore: ( Yells: ) SILENCE!!

All the students went quiet and look towards Dumbledore and the teachers.

Dumbledore: Everyone will please, not panic. Now, prefects will lead their house back to the dormitories. Teachers, will follow me and help search for the dragon and handle this situation properly.

The prefects quickly began leading the students of their house out of the Great Hall. Both Merula and Ismelda grabbed Barnaby by his legs and begin slowly dragging him out of the room. Once they got out of the Great Hall and Merula saw that she, Ismelda, and Barnaby were out of the teachers' sights, Merula had her and Ismelda drag Barnaby away from the other slytherins, as she wasn't planning on going to the safety of Slytherin's dormitory.

Ismelda: Merula, what are you-

Merula: As much as this annoys me to say this, but... Malinda is still somewhere in the castle, and there's no way a weak witch such as her can defend herself against a dragon.

Barnaby: ( slowly opens his eyes as he slowly regains consciousness. ) Big, red, cranky dragon is not a happy dragon. Pretty, but dangerous.

Merula: ( she and Ismelda lets go of Barnaby's legs ) ( to Barnaby, sternly: ) Get up, Barnaby. We got a Burns to look for.

( Meanwhile with the Dragoness )

The dragoness slowly walked into the Great Hall and saw it was now empty. She sniffed at the tables, which still had the treats and sweets of the feast on it, but she growled angrily as there was no meat for her to eat. She then slammed her tail at the end of the Slytherin table, making it flip in the air and making all of the food fall onto the floor. She then sniffed the air before turning her head to the Gryffindor table, to see Rowan, Ben, and the two Weasley brothers, Bill and Charlie Weasley hiding under the table, staring at her in fear while Charlie...

Charlie: ( is looking at the dragoness in pure awe and amazement ) ( quietly: ) Look at the size of her, she has got to be at least a foot bigger than a Horntail. And I have never even heard of a dragon having a mane and wolf-like ears. She's an entirely new species!-

Bill: ( to Charlie, quietly: ) Don't even think about going near it.

Charlie: ( quietly, to Bill: ) She.

Rowan: ( to Charlie, quietly: ) How can you tell?

Charlie: ( quietly and knowingly: ) Female dragons have more delicate scales than males.

Ben: ( is terrified ) ( quietly: ) She's looking right at us.

The dragoness slowly started approaching the Gryffindor table, where the three students were hiding, and she carefully stepped over the table beside it.

Charlie: ( noticed how carefully the dragoness stepped over the table ) ( quietly, with a smile: ) And she's aware of how big she is, she carefully stepped over that table as to not break it.

Suddenly Snape appeared at the entrance of the Great Hall, and points his wand at the dragoness, who quickly became aggressively protective as soon as she saw him, which all four students noticed.

Snape: Sectumsempra!

When Snape casted the spell at the dragoness, he was expecting the spell to work, but nothing happened. The dragoness growled angrily, as she thought Snape was trying to attack her and the four students under the table.

Snape then suddenly heard a voice of a young child in his head.

" Fool... Wingardium Leviosa! "

Snape was then levitated off the ground, and the dragoness smacked him across the room with her tail, knocking him out when he hit his head when he hit the ground.

Ben: ( is mentally screaming in fear )

Bill & Rowan: ( are in shock by what they saw )

Charlie: ( is speechless at what he saw what the dragoness did to Snape )
