Everything was going great for White the rest of the day. She got someone who was ready to protect her, as a friend. The bully didn't mess with her when Ryan was there.

However, things didn't go as she thought. When she was walking home with Ryan, he started to ask her about her childhood

"So what was about your childhood that you were hated?" Ryan asked. White clenched her fist, tried to hold her tears.

"It's okay. You don't have to tell if you don't want to" Ryan put his hand on her shoulder, but then he felt something weird.

"Uh, White, I have to, you know, boy's thing. So stay here and wait for me" Ryan then ran to the restroom. However, little did he know, someone was hiding behind them, ready to revenge

When he walked out, he saw a scene he didn't want to see again. White was beaten up by the same bully that morning

"So, what your going to do now? Crying?!" She said while beating White

"STOP!" Ryan shouted from behind

"Oh hi Ryan. Did this girl do something to you again?" The bully asked

"First, it should be "you're" not "your". Second, she didn't do anything, YOU DID!"

"Oh, even when you try to be a hero, you still try to fix my grammar?"

"Whatever, just leave her alone!"

"Or else..."

"I'll punch you right in the jaws just like what I did!, and I guarantee this will be more painful!"

"Then why don't you do it?" The girl pointed at her jaws as a taunt

"Because the readers will think this is weird, while in the real life I'm not that strong" Ryan said, only to almost get hit by a bus from the author

"You just broke the fourth wall, Ryan" The girl said

"Whatever! Just back off from her!" Ryan said as he was approaching her. To make him angrier, the girl started to kick White in the back

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Ryan stomped her in the stomach, knocked her out. She glared at him with anger, then walked away, but looked like she wouldn't forgive him

Ryan didn't care much about the girl. He walked to White, who still covered her legs in tears

"White, I'm sorry. I shouldn't leave you like this" Ryan started checking her legs and cured it. She still able to stand up, but it was difficult for her to walk

"You can't walk?" Ryan asked softly while wiping her tears. She just nodded silently, then the next thing happened to her made her stunned. Ryan carried her bridal style. He was blushing with this, but he thought this was the right thing

"Well, let's go home, shall we?" Ryan asked and started walking. White thought he,was the right person who she could trust, who she could tell her secret

"Ryan, I think I need to tell you this" White said weakly and Ryan nodded, ready to listen. She started telling about her childhood, how her friends betrayed her, how everyone thought she was invisible. In th end of her talk, he could see she was crying. He pushed her head to his chest, let her sob in his chest

"It's alright... I understand now..." Ryan said while rubbing her back. She looked him and smiled. He felt happy about this, as this was like a smile she hadn't made for a long time, from the girl with secrets she tried to hold.

"Now come on. Let's go" Ryan walked to her home with her on his arms. For the first time in White's life, she felt safe when she was with him
