Prologue
'I love you to Mark. I'll never leave you.'
Vincent: Man this is so cheesy.
The now older purple haired male rolled his eyes, flickering through the TV channels. So far, nothing good was on at this time of night. Currently it was 1 am, and everyone besides him was fast asleep in bed. His son and daughter were both fast asleep in their rooms.
'Vincent?'
His head turned as he looked back, hearing his name being called by a quiet voice. His eyes softened as a black haired hybrid stood there, clutching a golden plush to her chest, dressed in a long black oversized shirt with the sleeves hanging over her arms.
Vincent: Bunny, what are you doing up this late?
Bunny: I had another nightmare
Bunny wobbled over to the couch, climbing up and sitting besides the purple haired male. She had been living with both Vincent and Mike for almost 10 years now, since her home had been burned down years ago. She used to stay with her brother Wolfy, but due to him and Lucy taking care of Alpha, it didn't work out and she had moved in with him. She had changed a lot in those years, growing out her hair and her eyes changing colors. But also in personality wise, growing from bouncy and energetic, to shy and timid. He signed, bringing her into a small side hug as she curled up next to him.
Vincent: Was it the dying dream again
Bunny: No. It was of Springy b-but she was mad at me. She said she hated me and hurt me with a knife.
She snuggled even closer to him, the vision still fresh in her mind. She developed these nightmares shortly after moving in, and they had only gotten worse and time went on. She would sometimes wake up screaming, or in complete tears. Both Mike and Vincent tried ways to stop them, but they had always returned somehow.
Vincent: *sigh* I don't know what we're gonna do about this Bunny. That's the fourth time this week you've had one.
Bunny: I d-don't mean to
Vincent: It's okay
They looked up at the TV, Vin putting on her favourite anime Sailor Moon. He had no idea why she liked it, but it always helped her feel better after a bad dream.
Bunny: It's been 10 years, when are they finally gonna wake up?
Vincent: Things like this take time, and you remember that most of them still need to be fixed.
Bunny: But you said they remnant stuff would do it
Vincent: I thought it would, but I guess it's not enough
Bunny looks down at her golden bear plush, her eyes filling with tears once more. It was hard on everyone, but she had always took it the hardest. Others saw them as just animatronics, but she saw them as her family.
Vincent: We could try again in the morning if you want
She began to sob, tears falling from her eyes to the plush in her arms. She never wanted this to happen, and sometimes she wished it was all a bad dream. Vincent hugged her tightly, muffling her crying.
Vincent: It's gonna be okay Bunny
Bunny: I just want them to come back
Vincent: I know you miss them, and I'm trying my hardest for you.
She cried harder, Vin rubbing her back for comfort. Slowly he leaned over and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small syringe filled with clear fluid. He cringed mentally, hating doing this to his own daughter. Moving her hair to the side he gently pushed the needle into her now exposed neck, Bunny crying out as he did so.
Vincent: I'm sorry Bunny, but it's for your own good.
She continued to cry as he injected the clear substance into her body. Her crying died down into small sniffles as she yawned, a sudden urge to sleep filling her. Bunny closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep as Vincent continued to rub her back.
Vincent: I'm sorry Bunny, but I'll fix them at whatever it takes.
