Avi's POV

''Avi?''

''Kev? Would you finally tell me what's happening?''

He sat down and grabbed his coffee.

''I don't know what to do man. I can't just leave her. Those girls almost killed her.. She's 14, and lives on the street. I don't know..should I..should I adopt her or something?''

He was nervously biting his lip.

''Hey man, calm down. I mean didn't ..didn't you want to adopt a child anyway? However you decide, we'll be there for you, okay? Always.''

I smiled at him. ''Thanks buddy. I think I'll do it. I care too much and I don't even know why. I feel...I feel like she needs me, you know?''

''She does. I'm pretty sure she needs us all.''

July's POV

In the middle of the night I woke up. I had a nightmare. And I was really thirsty.

I got up, and decided to find a kitchen or...wait..it's a perfect moment to run away, isn't it?

I grabbed my violin and the broken bow, and after a thought  I grabbed Kevin's jacket. I felt kinda bad about it, but It was cold outside..he wouldn't miss it anyway, would he?

I really was sorry, but I didn't want to freeze. I silently sneaked out and closed the door behind me. Then I ran down the stairs.

Shit.

Someone turned up the light and I heard steps

Shit shit shit.

It was Kevin.

He gave me a sleepy look and wanted to say something.

I started to run. It was probably my last chance and...

''Got ya.'' he grabbed me from the back.

''Leave. Me. Alone.'' I punched him in the stomach but he was still holding me.

''Calm down, Jul.''

He sat on the couch, still with me in his arms.

''Why did you do that?'' he asked me.

I couldn't talk. I started to cry again. Kevin hugged me.

''Hey, it's okay. Please, stay here. I promise, I won't hurt you. I won't do anything if you won't like it.. Just stay here, alright?''

For some stupid reason, I hugged him back. I didn't even know why. I felt tears in my eyes again.

Damn, I really didn't want to cry. I just wanted to be strong. I hated every single part of myself in this moment.

Kevin's hug was warm and I felt so safe. I still couldn't talk.

''Come on, let me get ya to the bed now. You really need some sleep.''

''I-I'm thirsty.' I whispered.

'''I'll bring you some water. You sure you aren't hungry?''

I shook my head in disagreement. But then my stomach had to rumble.

Damn it.

''I'm not hungry.''

He made an eye-contact.

''Really?''

I started to cry again.

''I-it doesn't matter. I don't need food. I'm fat anyway, okay?'' I covered my mouth.

You should be QUIET July. Don't you know what's gonna happen now? Don't you!?

''Just..leave me alone. Please.''

''WHAT?'' Kevin yelled. ''Girl, you know that's not okay.''

He scared me, once again.

''Shhh, let me bring you some food. You have to eat, babe. You really have to.''

He was worried.

''N-no. Just..just let me sleep.''

''Yeah. Right when you eat something. Do you like pancakes?''

''It's 2am, Kevin.''

''I don't care. I'll bring you some pancakes.'' he mumbled.

''And hot tea. You're gonna love it. Wait a moment.'''

Kevin's POV

She has an eating disorder. Now I'm really worried. She's only 14 for god's sake. I made a decision. I'm going to fix her.

''What's going on Kev?'' Somehow I woke up Avi.

I thought it was impossible...you know, to wake up the BassCannonKaplan-guy.

''Can you come to the kitchen?'' I asked him.

Avi came down.''Yeah?'' he gave me a sleepy smile.

''July wanted to run away. And I'm pretty sure she has an eating disorder. Somehow she thinks she's fat. I'm making her some food..she's starving. Do you think I should ask Mitch to talk to her? He went through it..''

''Fat? Oh c'mon! She the..tiniest little thing I've ever seen. Yeah, Mitchie will probably know what to do. Should I talk to her first?''

I nodded. ''Please.''
