Ivy's POV

My heart stopped when he spoke.

"Is what!?" Dave almost lost it

"...you're not pregnant...yet" he said, sighing "The test results came back negative. There's nothing wrong with either of you. There's nothing to worry about"

A breathed out a sigh of relief.

After soo many days of worry.

Thank you, God.

"So just keep trying and don't worry about anything. It'll happen when the time is right"

"Thank you soo much, Karl" Dave said as we got up to leave

Karl got up
"It's not a problem" he said "It's nice meeting you again, Mrs Connor"

"Please call me Ivy" I said "I'm sorry I wasn't myself earlier"

He nodded.
"It's only fair with what was going through your mind" he said "Now less worrying and more action"

I blushed.
"That'll depend on Dave"

Karl boomed with laughter
"Oh, he's not complaining"

"Lets get going, love" Dave said beside me

"Bye" Karl said as we left

I sighed when we were seated in the backseat.

"Didn't I tell you to stop worrying" Dave said pulling me to him

I nodded with my head on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry"

"It's all over now" he said "No more worrying"

"No more worrying" I said

We skipped the office and went home straight. Snuggling in our bed, together.

"It's good to see you smile after so many days" Dave said as he played with my hair

I smiled at him.
"There's nothing to worry about now" I said

Silence.
"I was scared" he admitted

I looked a him.
"Of what?"

"Your silence" he said "It was killing me. I couldn't bare to see you suffer like that. It was killing from the inside. Worst part was, you acted like nothing was wrong" he sighed

I felt guilty for making him go through that.
"I'm sorry. I'm soo sorry Dave" I said "I'm selfish."

"Hey, you're not" he said with his hand turning my face to his "You are many things Ivy Connor but selfish isn't one of them. You're kind, strong, patient, loving and many other things but selfish? Never!"

I smiled at him

"Just promise me you'll never shut me out again" he said

"I promise" I said before kissing him.

It was getting heated.
"Hey, we don't have to get right to it" he joked

"Shut up and make love to me" I said

"Gladly" he said before taking full control of everything.

Days turned to weeks. Weeks to months. Months of  working...hard, with Dave by my side.

So why would I complain?

I woke up when I felt someone running kisses all over my body. Naked, I might add.

I moaned and smiled.
"Dave!" I dragged "Stop it"

He came up from kissing my thigh, grinning at me.
"Morning birthday girl" he said placing a kiss on my lips

"What?" I was confused.

Is today...?

"Happy birthday!" He said reaching over and grabbing a tray "Breakfast in bed"

I giggled as I sat up.
"How sweet of you. Thanks Dave"

"Only the best for you, my love" he smiled at me

"Wow! This is delicious" I said as I ate the pancakes whole heartedly

"A family recipe" he said "Today seemed like the perfect day to put it to use"

I smiled at him extending the fork towards him. He ate what was on it and smiled at me.

"Okay" I said after eating "That's by far the best pancakes I've had. Beats my dad's"

"Glad to know" he said "Now where were we?"

I giggled as he went back to kissing my thigh.
"Dave, we have to go to work"

"Hmm-uhm" he said still kissing my thigh and going up to my hip bone

"We have a lot of work at the office" I said, smiling, not wanting him to stop

"Just one time" he begged

One time would turn to two and then three and then...we'd never make it to work.

"No!" I said pushing him off of me

"You're no fun" he grumbled as I made my way to the bathroom.

I smiled at him before stepping into the bathroom. Brushing my teeth and getting into the shower.

I was washing my hair and humming when I felt hands on my waist.

"You look smoking, Mrs Connor" Dave whispered into my ear kissing the spot behind my ear

"Dave" I moaned

"I love it when you call my name like that" he groaned

"Dave, we have to get to work" I forced

Oh please, I'm just human.

"We could go in late" he said still kisisng my neck

I swallowed and gathered my strength, pushing him away.
"No!" I said firmly

I quickly washed my hair and got out of the shower.

He grumbled
"This is not fair" he said

"You'll have me to yourself when we get back" I said

"Promise?" He smirked

"I promise" I said placing a quick kiss on his lips before taking my towel and going into the room.

I dried my hair and got ready, applying a little more make-up than I usually did.

I wore a white body con dress which stuck to every part of my body. I paired it with bright yellow stiletto with my cream hand bag.

"Dayum Ivy" I heard Dave say as he got out of the shower

I caught his gaze in the mirror and smiled.

He swallowed
"You are gonna be the death of me" he said making his way to the closet "I'm gonna rip that dress to shreds when we get back" he called

"I look forward to it" I said smacking my lips after applying my favourite nude lipstick

Dave was out and dressed before I knew it. He was fixing his cufflinks.

I walked towards him and began knotting his tie. I looked at him when I was done. He was smiling at me.

"What?" I asked

He pulled me to him
"You look absolutely beautiful today. More beautiful than you usually are"

I blushed looking away.
"Compliments are not gonna get you anywhere Dave"

"At least I tried" he said faking his sadness

We laughed before stepping out of the house together.

Hours later, I was going through a document which needed the CEO's signature when Claire entered my office.

"Ivy, you're needed in the conference room" she said

I frowned
"I wasn't aware we had company"

"It was impromptu" she said

I nodded.
"Okay" I marked the page with a book marker before I got up and followed her.

She stopped in front of the conference room and waited for me to go in.

I opened the door and stopped short at the sight in front of me.

"What's going on?" I asked
