Ivy's POV

And the drama began.

"What the heck is he doing here?" Lez said pointing at Luke

Luke just sighed and looked down.

"Will someone answer me?" Lez asked after a moment

Dave and I looked at eachother.

"Whatever's going on between you two has to end...now " Dave said

"There's nothing going on!" Lez said, angry

"Seeing how mad you are right now, I doubt that's true" I said studying her "What's happening Lez?"

She just stared at me, quiet.

Then it began.

The first tear slipped and it turned into a dam. I pulled her into an embrace.

"What's wrong, Lez?" I asked her

"He thinks I cheated on him!" She pulled away, sobbing "He doesn't trust me, Ivy"

I looked at Luke
"Luke?" I called

"C'mon love, I never said that" Luke said, coming closer "I just didn't like seeing you with those guys at the club"

"Wait, this started the same night you planned getting Ivy and I to confess our feelings?" Dave asked

They didn't say anything, looking away from us.

A yes then.

"You never said it but you insinuated it" Lez said, almost inaudible to any of us

Luke shook his head pain fully
"No Lez" he said coming closer to Lez and I "I know you'd never cheat on me. I trust you"

I moved away and joined Dave who looked at me and pulled me to his side as we watched them settle their dispute. No one was gonna leave until this was over.

"Does trusting me include you yelling at me to stop dressing up like a slut?" She asked him "You said what I was wearing was my way of inviting men. So please tell me Luke, what does that sound like to you?"

"Lez, I love you" Luke was standing in front of her

I saw her eyes twinkle with happiness and I think I saw a hint of a smile.

She placed her hand on the side of his face and smiled.
"I love too, Luke" she said painfully "But I have to do what's best for my child. A relationship can't grow without trust"

"I trust you for godsakes!" Luke yelled "Even more than I..." he paused "...wait! What child?!"

Now he asks when Dave and I are staring at her like she had grown another head.

"I just found out that I'm pregnant" she said slowly "And I'm keeping the child. I'm not..."

"I'm the father" Luke said, it wasn't a question

Before we knew it, Luke had picked her up and twirled her, putting her down on her feet and kissing her. He was soo happy.

"You're not mad?" She asked him, confused

"Why would I be? You just made me the happiest man ever" Luke was grinning happily

"Second happiest" Dave whispered beside me

I smiled as I nudged him with my elbow

He smiled and kissed the top of my head.

"I-I thought you'd be mad" Lez said, surprised

"Never" Luke said "Wait! Is this why you broke things off after that night? It was never because of what I said"

Lez looked away from Luke.

Luke chuckled and kissed her forehead
"I love you, princess"

"I love you too" she hugged him tight

Dave and I smiled at this moment of affection.

"I hate to ruin your moment but, dinner's waiting" I said

"Oh I'm starving" Lez said making it to the table before any of us

"Oh sure" I said "Pregnant woman. Thanks for telling me by the way"

We all moved to the table
"I'm sorry. I didn't know how to tell you. I was still trying to process it myself"

"It's fine. I'm happy for both of you" I hugged her

"Thanks" she said "Okay let's eat"

We laughed at her.

That night after they left when Dave and I were both in bed, cuddling.

"What's wrong Ivy?" Dave asked "I can hear your thoughts"

I smiled
"Nothing"

He was silent
"I asked Lez what you guys talked about on the phone earlier"

I stiffened.

I didn't want to think about it.

Of course Dave and I haven't used protection once but I've been on the pill after we got back from our honeymoon. But during our honeymoon, nothing.

No condoms or pills.

So the question of the year.

Why wasn't I pregnant?

I hadn't thought about it until Lez said she was pregnant.

I-Is there something wrong with me? Or is the timing just wrong.

"Everything's fine Ivy" Dave said beside me "Nothing is wrong. I'm ready when you're ready"

I nodded.

That night, I decided to stop the pills and see where that leads to. If nothing happens then I'll know something's wrong with me.

And if something does happen. I'll be the happiest woman ever.

Yes.

I'm ready.

I'm ready for a child.

I'm sure Dave's as ready as I am.

I just have to be patient.

Making a child, I have to be stress free.

Let it just happen.

Not think about it.

I won't tell Dave anything yet. I don't want to get his hopes up just yet. If nothing happens, he'll be disappointed.

Like I said.

Patience.

I sighed.

"Goodnight love" Dave said kidding my forehead

"Goodnight" I said snuggling deeper into him

Dave slept off before I did.

My thoughts were all over the place before I finally decided to let go.

I finally slept off.
