Ivy's POV

It's been two week since we got back from our honeymoon. I moved into Dave's apartment after countless arguments about getting a new one together.

Finally we agreed we would get a new one when we were expecting, in preparation.

Dave and I couldn't have gotten more closer than we were but surprisingly, we have.

As for my parents, I have spoken to them yet. Been avoiding them till I know I'm ready to talk with them. My grandparents are happy to see me happy. But they didn't seem surprised.

Leslie and Luke helped me move in with Dave. They're amazing together. The perfect model couple. Speaking of Leslie, we made up.

We cleared the air and thankfully, she forgave me for judging her too fast. Well technically, she said there was nothing to forgive. But still, I felt like I was the wrong one.

Anyway, Dave and I are suppose to meet up with them - Leslie and Luke - in a few minutes. Yea, Dave and Luke are besties. It was inevitable with the long hours Luke and Leslie spent in our apartment.

Shocking, but I'm happy seeing my bestfriend and my husband get along.

I smiled.

The husband word still sounds strange to me.

I was presently finishing up on a new project for a client when I heard my office door open.

"Claire, I'm almost done. Do you mind telling Dave to hold on?" I asked Claire, whom I assumed was who entered my office

"You can tell him yourself"

I smiled when I heard his voice. I looked at him and stopped typing.

He smiled at me, closing the door.

"Hey. I'm almost done" I said resuming my typing

"I know but you'll have to tell that to Leslie" he said coming behind me and placing a kiss on the top of my head "She's been very cranky lately"

"She's your cousin" I said

"And she's your bestfriend" he said back at me

I snorted
"Wuss"

"You're just saying that to trick me" he said

I smiled.

He knew me too well.

I hit the save button.
"Done" I said packing my things and grabbing my hand bag

"After you" Dave said as we exited my office

"Thanks honey" I said and walked I front of him

We walked past his office passing Claire's on our way to the elevator.

"Claire is..." Dave began

"Yes sir" she smiled at him "Phil's waiting"

"Thanks" he gave her a small smile and joined me in the waiting elevator.

We got in and rode it down to the ground floor.

Dave's hand was around my waist throughout, pulling me closer to him, keeping me safe.

We got out of the elevator heading to entrance

"Have a nice day sir, ma'am" Clarence said

"You to Clarence" I smiled

We reached the car and Phil opened the door
"Hey Phil" I said to him "How's the day been?"

"Fine, thank you ma'am" he gave me a small smile. But it was lost when Dave glared at him, getting in after me

Phil shut the door and going round

"You didn't have to be mean to him" I said to Dave

"I didn't even say anything to him" he said with a rigid face

"You didn't have to say anything. The look said it all" I said "He was just replying me nicely"

Phil got in the car and got it moving. As for our destination, Claire would have told him.

"I don't like it when another man smiles at you" he whispered into my ear

A smile formed on my lips.
"What about Luke?" I looked at me

"Luke's different" he said

My brows furrowed.

A few minutes later, still on our way to Luke and Leslie, Dave's phone started ringing.

He looked at the screen, then at me.

"Who's is it?" I asked

"It's your dad" he said

I turned away from him and looked out the window

"This is the umpteenth time he's called since we arrived" he continued

I sighed silently

"You should talk to them Ivy" he said

I snapped my head at him
"Are you for real?" I asked, mad at him for suggesting that

He nodded
"We haven't talked about them since you found out the truth, but I know you're hurting...inside" he said, brows creased

I looked away from him

"What they did to you was wrong but they had your best interest at heart. I mean look at us..." he said

I looked at him to find him smiling

"...we're happy" he finished

I smiled at him

We are happy.

"Soo...?" He asked

I studied him for a minute before I nodded gently
"I'll talk to them, but not today"

He smiled
"That's fine by me" he pulled me closer to him and placed a soft kiss on my forehead

I placed my head on his shoulder and sighed

"Everything's ginna be fine" he said almsot inaudible to me, as if he was saying it to himself.

I smiled at that.

"Sir, we've arrived" I heard Phil say

That's when I noticed that the car had stopped moving

"Find somewhere safe to park Phil, we'll be here for a while" Dave said as he opened the door.

"Yes sir" Phil said as Dave and I got out of the car and made our way inside

We went straight to our now favourite booth and found Leslie and Luke making up

"Break it up guys" Dave said as he waited for me to get in before he did. We sat opposite Leslie and Luke.

"Hey" Leslie smiled at me

"Thanks for bursting our love bubble" Luke said to Dave

Dave smiled at him
"You're welcome"

"Hey couz" Lez said to Dave

"Hey you" Dave said "How's the pms attitude?"

Lez's eyes went wide

"Oh dude" Luke said "You're toast"

"What's that suppose to mean?" Lez asked Luke

"Nothing honey" he said then turning to Dave he said "Let's get out of her before she has my head"

"Well be at the bar" Dave said before they left

"My cousin is soo whipped" Lez said

I turned to face her
"What was that?"

"Oh nothing" she said "How are thing going for you guys?"

I smiled
"Great. He's so sweet and caring. I never thought I could be this happy"

"So you love him" she said

"What?" I looked at her

"Oh don't start with me" she said "You love him"

"Is it that obvious?" I asked

"To me it is" she said "Guys are just dumb not to see it. It's like their eyes are open to everything but what's right in front of them"

"But you and Luke..."

"Luke is...Luke. He's playful when he wants to be, he's romantic when he wants to be and he's very protective of me"

"Tell me about that" I said "You guys look so in love"

She smiled
"Yea but its too early to tell"

"It's right when you know its right" I said

"I guess so" she sighed

A few minutes later

"...punched him square in the mouth. I was shocked but...pleased"

"Luke's protective like that" I said laughing at what she just told me

"Any plans tonight?" She asked out of nowhere

I shook my head

"It's a Friday, Ivy" she said

"I know. But asides you, Luke and Dave, I know no one else" I said "And I'm married"

"So what? Married women still go partying with hot guys"

I smiled at her
"I'll stick with Dave, thank you"

"We are going partying tonight" she said "Uh-huh" she shook her head when I was about saying No "We are going"

I sighed in defeat

"There's this new club that's opening tonight. Everyone important is gonna be there. We have to go, meet new hot guys"

"Don't push it Lez" I said

"Fine. But we're going" she had the last say
