Ivy's POV

I walked away from the dance floor and went to the bar.

"White wine, please" I said

"Here you go Mrs Connor" the waiter said, smiling

I downed it

"Another" I said

He looked at me weirdly but gave me another.

I downed that too.

"Keep it coming" I said

"I don't think..."

"Keep. It. Coming." I said, not meaning to sound rude

"Wo wo wo! Slow down missy" Luke said pulling the flute away from my lips "What happened?"

I looked at him sadly and looked away
"I don't wanna talk about it" I said

"Okay. But you have to stop with the drinking or else the guests are gonna start talking" he said pushing the tray of filled champagne flutes away from me

I sighed
"Okay"

"You wanna go home?" He asked

I looked up at him and nodded quickly, afraid the water works would start if I uttered a word

"Okay. Wait right here." He said leaving me

Where is he going?

I thought as I watched him.

He went to my parents and spoke to them for a while. They smiled sadly before he left them heading to...Dave.

Dave?

He spoke to Dave who was with his dad and...Leslie.

Luke gestured towards my direction making Dave look around the bar area till his eyes landed on me.

Uh-oh.

He nodded to Luke before hugging his dad and Leslie, making his way towards me.

Another uh-oh.

Luke was still on a mission. He went up the stage where the MC was. He whispered something to him and left the stage.

"Hey" I snapped my eyes to his

Why do I have to drown in yours eyes?

"Ready to go?" He asked, smiling

I nodded, looking away.

"You better now?" Luke asked

"I guess" I said "What did you tell the...!"

"Ladies and gentlemen, looks like the newly weds wants to call it a night" the MC began, all eyes scanned for Dave and I "Bet they can't wait to be alone"

Everyone laughed, Luke grinned at me, Dave smirked and I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Look at how he looks at her" the MC continued

What?!

Who?

I wondered, my eyes caught Dave's. He was staring at me. Making me burn under his piercing gaze.

Luke cleared his throat making me look away

"Well, the party still goes on till midnight, which is an hour from now..."

It's that late?

"...but lets release the bride and groom" he said "Ladies and gentlemen, let's give it up for Mr and Mrs Dave Connor once again"

Everyone clapped, whistled and cheered as Dave held my hand and led me to the exit where our cars waited.

Luke followed with our parents and grandparents trailing behind.

"Honey" grams said hugging me "Be safe"

I smiled after she pulled back

"Bye sis" Ian hugged me

"I'll miss you" Iva  said

I smiled at her
"I'll miss you too"

I got to Thomas
"No hug for me?" I asked

He smiled and jumped. I carried him, twirling him
"I'll miss you bud"

"Miss you too" he said

Mum and dad hugged me after putting Thomas down

"I'm not running away you know" I said

"Yea" mum said "Call us when you land"

I pulled back
"Land?"

"Oops!" Mum said

"Your dad has a surprise for you" Gramps said

"What is it?" I asked

"Well, my wedding gift to you both is a honeymoon on the family's island"

What?!

Everyone aww-ed

"Looks like you guys are gonna be all alone for a month" Leslie said, smiling at me

Why was she happy?

I turned back and looked at Dave
"Did you know about this?" I asked him

"No" he said

I looked back at dad
"Dad, we could just go to Dave's house without a honeymoon" I suggested

"Why are you such in a hurry to move in with me?" Dave came up beside me

"I'm not..."

"You guys could use this as a way of getting to know one another and putting your differences aside. Also think of it as a vacation cause when you return, its gonna be work all through" dad said

"But I haven't packed anything" I complained

"Everything you both need is waiting in the plane" mum said

"You guys should go now" grams said, smiling

What the heck grams, you're suppose to be on my side.

"Shoo, both of you" Jack said sending Dave and I into the limo.

"Have fun" I heard Luke say "Don't think too much, Ivy and don't be too rough with her bud, she's still an innocent"

What the heck Luke?!

I turned round to glare at him but my dad's gaze was already on him.

I chuckled as I got into the limo.

Dave had a smile on his face

"What?" I asked him

"Is Luke serious?" He asked still with the smile

"About?"

"You being an innocent" he said "Cause I don't mind. I'll go easy on you babe" he looked away, smirking

Oh, how I'd love to wipe that smirk off your well sculpted face.

Babe?

I must have dosed off on the way to the airport cause I was hearing my name being called

"...wake up, we're here" I heard

I groaned as I opened my eyes. I realised my head was on his shoulder. I jerked away and looked at him.

He smiled at me
"We're here. Let's go"

I stretched and yawned as he got outmof the limo, holding his hand out for me. I took it cause I was too tired to ignore him at the moment.

"Have a safe flight ma'am" Patrick said

I smiled at him
"Thanks Patrick"

We walked to the family's private plane. I stared at the stairs.

How the heck was I suppose to climb that in this dress?

It's like Dave knew what I was thinking cause he picked me up, bridal style.

I quickly placed my hand round his neck surprised and shocked at the same time. I stared at him as he climbed up into the plane.

I would have complained but own the heck was I gonna climb the staors in my dress?

"Welcome on board Mr and Mrs Connor" the female hostess said

Dave gave her a curt nod and went to the seats before slowly placing me on the ground, reluctantly

Why do you have to be soo nice.

"Thank you" I said

"You should to to the suite and change" he said "You wouldn't want me carrying you down the stairs when we land"

Yes I would.

...oh shut it!

I walked to the back of the plane and entered what was suppose to be the suite.

I sighed.

This honeymoon wasn't gonna be in my favour.

I figured that much.

With the way Dave was being all nice and gentlemanly.

We'll have to see what happens.
