Dave's POV

Why was I nervous?

What...?!

"Dave" I turned round to find my best man "My man"

"Aaron" I hugged him the manly way

"The man of the hour" he smiled "Got whipped uh?"

I smiled

I wish.

"Let's get out of here" he said "It's about to begin"

I swallowed

I was scared.

Yea, Dave Connor was scared.

Scared that Ivy - soon to be - Connor won't show up to her wedding.

"Yea. Let's go" I said as we made our way into the church.

Aaron and I made our way down the aisle to the altar. We joined Ian who was also one of the best man. It was a small family and friends kinda wedding. The church was barely filled up. Well, it was almost filled up.

Luke walked down and stayed behind Aaron

"Luke" he shook Aaron's hand

"Aaron" Aaron said "This jerk's bestfriend"

"I'm the bride's bestfriend" Luke said

"How is she?" I asked Luke, knowing he'd know how Ivy's doing

"She's...doing okay" Luke hesitated, that wasn't good

I sighed

"I can't believe my sister's getting married to you man" Ian said

I looked at him

"But I'm happy for both of you. At least she'd be happy for once" Ian added

What?

I thought

Please Ivy.

Dont leave me hanging.

I might be doing this cause of the deal my dad and your dad had, but I secretly want this.

God, please, bring her to me.

Ivy's POV

"...in, out, in, out, again" mum said

I was trying to stay calm

"Mum...?" I began, on the verge of crying

"It's okay honey, I was like this when I married your dad, well not for the same reasons, ours was little complicated than this" she said "Just don't think, okay? Feel"

I nodded and took a deep breath

Why did Luke have to leave me here alone?

"Is she ready?" Dad came in

"Dad?" I called

"Hey munchkin, you okay?" He asked

"It doesn't feel right"

"You're gonna be fine" he said as he kissed my forehead "Your mum and my wedding was worse than this. I made her cry before the wedding"

I sighed

"Just keep this in mind munchkin, we love you and all this is for your happiness" he said

I nodded

He smiled
"Ready?"

I nodded again

"Let's go get you married sis" Iva said

I smiled at her and held my dad's hand

"See you later honey" mum kissed my forehead and left.

Iva and two of Dave's cousins - Briana and Hailey - we're on the bridal train. Iva being my maid of honour. I couldn't invite Jess cause of Luke. I knew her through Luke, so it'd be awkward if I invited her. And I didn't want to play matchmaker.

"See you at the altar" Hailey smiled at me as she made her way to the altar after Briana.

"Here" Iva handed me my red boquet of roses

Then she left me, walking down the aisle.

"Ready?" Dad asked again

I nodded.

The bridal song began as the door was opened revealing the chapel.

I held my breath and followed dad's lead looking down

"Look up munchkin" dad whispered

I looked up at everyone as we made our way down the aisle. I looked at the altar and caught sight of Dave...smiling.

I released my breath when out gaze locked.

I was lost in his eyes. I didn't know when we got to the altar.

"Take care of my daughter, young man" dad said placing my hand in Dave's

"I'll protect her with my life" he said still looking into my eyes, in the depths of my soul

He helped me up, next to him, in front of the priest.

And it all began.

"We are gathered her today to witness the holy matrimony of..." the priest began but the rest was tuned out as I stood there looking into the eyes of the man in front of me. The man whom I loved when we were teenagers whom I have feelings for, who stole my long life dream, who crushed me, who I'm getting married to for all the wrong reasons.

"I do" he said, snapping me put of my thought

"Ivy Marie Thompson, do you take Dave Richard Connor to be your lawful wedded husband, to life together in God's ordinance in holy matrimony, to love him, comfort him, honour and keep him, in sickness and in health, in richer and in poorer, for better and for worse and keep yourself only for him so long as you both shall live?"

I swallowed

This is for me Dave. I'm sorry for everything that will happen, but you brought this upon yourself.

"I do" I said

"Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife, in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit...Amen" the priest said

"You may now kiss the bride" he added

Wait...what?!

Oh shit!

I totally forgot about this part.

Dave smirked as he snaked his hand around my waist, pulling me to him. I placed my hand on his chest without thinking. I was lost in his eyes as he leaned into me.

No please.

Then I did what I thought was best. I smacked my lips to his in a nano second, slicing the missing problem.

Everyone cheered as we exited the church.

That had to be the shortest kiss in the history of kissing.

I thought as I entered the limo, Dave right behind.

"Reception" Dave said shutting the door.

I didn't want to face him

"I enjoyed your kiss" I heard him say in a mock tone "But don't think I wouldn't get my real kiss"

That got my cheeks red, I'm sure.

Whatever.

I thought.

I just can't wait to get this over with and go home for a long nap.

"Can't wait to get you out of that tightly fitted sexy as hell wedding dress off of you" I heard him groan "What you do to me, Ivy" he muttered "Only God can save me"

I almost laughed at that.

And wait...Get me out of my wedding dress?

In your dreams bud.

Let's wait and see what happens.

I scoffed inwardly and ignored him throughout the ride to the reception.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I'd explain more but I'm just gonna give you a triple update instead.

I love you guys and hopefully this book will come to an end before we step into May.

Soo... fingers crossed.

I hope we'll make it, cause I'm not sure I'll have time in May to do any writing.
