Chapter 10-Planning
I make my way back tot he stairs, and start to climb them. I don't really remember what happened when i realized some of the memories were fake. Had I tried to repress the memories? Were they that bad? Was Silver going to be alright? I had no idea, and not knowing things scares me. Maybe that's why I was the one that remembered.
I walked down the hallway, waving at anyone I passed. A couple people waved back, probably out of politeness, before they kept going. I wasn't sure what was so important, but then again, I knew what was really important. I didn't expect anyone to approach me after I waved.
"Hey, was that girl okay?" Joel asked, coming up to me. She was still holding a couple Barbies, including the newly wed couple. It still seemed a little weird to me that they were both girls, but she's right. It really doesn't matter, as long as you're both happy.
"Yeah, Silver's fine. She's just going through some things." I replied, nodding down the hallway. I wasn't sure if that implied that her room was that way, but it seemed like the right thing to do, so I did it. It'd been a while since I'd interacted with people. Silver made me feel relaxed, but Joel made me a little bit nervous. Maybe it was the Barbies?
"Oh, that's good. Are you two an item? We were just wondering, not trying to be up in your business." She quickly defended herself. I brushed off the we, she probably had some issues. This place could probably mess you up, a lot.
"No. At least, I don't think so? What's an item?" I asked. I honestly didn't know. Social things really were kinda hard for me.
"In a relationship." She replied.
"Oh. No, we're not. She is kinda cute though. But we just met, so I can't say we are." I said. She seemed a little upset, but looked like she brushed it off.
"Oh, okay. Well, thanks for telling me. What's your name, by the way?'
"Toby."
"And the girl's Silver."
"Yup."
"So, where did you tow run off to earlier?" Jeez, she's just full of questions. But maybe..........
"Oh, no where. We're just planning something" I checked the hallway for any Rulies, but no one was there. I leaned in and up whispering to her. "An escape." She froze. She looked around the hallway too, but nodded.
"Can we help? We want to get out of here too." She whispered, and I nodded.
"Can you form a distraction while we try and find more information about how to get out? Maybe.....at noon tomorrow?" I said. She nodded, before she began to slowly walk away. She didn't seem to be thinking about how suspicious it looked.
"I'll see you later Joel!" I called, exaggerating a wave. She turned around and waved back, but she didn't say anything. I began to walk back to my room.
Things are looking up.
