Meanwhile somewhere that's twenty blocks away from Lorenzo Rey's mansion, Magnus is walking with Clary and Alec still trying to get over the fact that a very powerful and dangerous demon is the one causing the Demonic Ley Lines.

"Well, here's the goods news, at least we all know that Asmodeus isn't the one behind the Demonic Ley Lines." Said Alec as he looks Magnus and Clary.

"But the bad news is that a very powerful and dangerous demon is, and we do t even know who this Greater Demon is." Said Magnus as he look worried.

"But we still don't know who this Greater Demon is, all we know is that this demon is from Edom, and that this person could be anybody in the city." Said Clary as she began to worry.

That got Magnus and Alec to get really worried once Clary have said that, knowing that she is right, there is a Greater Demon loose in the city and they don't know who it is, and then Alec's phone began to ring and then Alec look at it and saw that it was a message from Izzy and got him shock.

"Guys, we need to go, something happen at the hospital." Said Alec as he look worried.

That got Magnus and Clary to get really worried once Alec have said that, then they all started to run to the hospital to see what was going on there, then a few minutes later Alec, Magnus, and Clary have all arrived at the hospital.

As they all enter the building, they all arrived at one of the rooms were all the patients are, then they all saw Izzy with Catharina, who look so worried, while Luke was talking to other men, and they all go to them.

"Catharina, Izzy is everything okay?" Asked Magnus as he look at the two girls.

"No." Said Catharina as she look worried.

"What happen?" Asked Clary as she look concerned.

"Catharina says that everything was going fine here, when all of a sudden, there was a shaking going on just like what happen at Lorenzo's mansion, and Catharina couldn't be able to control her magic while she was healing a patient." Said Izzy as she explains.

"Is everyone okay?" Asked Alec as he look at Izzy and Catharina.

"We don't know yet." Said Catharina and then Luke came back to explain.

"Turns out it was just a freak power surge." Said Luke as he look at the others." A couple tweaks to the grid, and Con Ed said it shouldn't happen again."

"Is Mr. Harris OK?" Asked Catharina as she looks at Luke.

"He'll pull through." Said Luke as he looks at Catharina.

"And everyone else?" Asked Catharina as she looks worried.

"A patient upstairs, on a ventilator." Said

"Oh god. . . It's all my fault." Said Catharina as tears came out of her eyes.

"Catarina, you had no way of knowing this would happen." Said Magnus as he lay his hand on Catharina.

"This proves Lorenzo's mansion wasn't the only place affected." Said Alec as he look serious.

"Now what do we do?" Asked Clary as she look concerned.

"We have to get back to the Institute." Said Alec as he turns and leaves.

Then Clary, Izzy, and Luke all started leave as well, then Magnus looks at Catharina one last time, and smile at her trying to say that everything will be alright, Catharina smile back at Magnus, and then Magnus started to leave the hospital.

"What are we going to now Alexander?" Asked Magnus as he look at Alec.

"Let's get back to the Institute, I think I have a plan that might stop the Ley Lines." Said Alec as he look serious.

Then Alec, Clary, Magnus, and Izzy have all started to go back to the Institute, while Luke goes back to the police station with the reports of the hospital. Then a few minutes later, when they have all arrived at the Institute, Alec gather all the shadowhunter's, and then he started to explain his plan on how to stop the Ley Lines, but there were a few shadowhunter's who didn't like the plan.

"You're gonna use the Angelic Core?" Said Raj as he was a bit angry." Are you serious?!"

"This is our only chance to stop the corruption." Said Alec as he explains everyone the plans to stop the Demonic Ley Lines." We're gonna flood the Demonic Ley Lines with angelic energy, put an end to this, once and for all."

"So your plan is basically divine Drano?" Asked Clary as he look at Alec.

Once Clary have said that, Alec have started to show the hologram of the New York Institute, and then he started to explain the rest of the plan.

"The only problem is the Institute is not built on any ley lines at least it's not yet." Said Alec as Magnus goes next to Alec." That's where Magnus comes in."

"I know a spell that'll allow me to temporarily divert the flow of magic at the core." Said Magnus as he look at the Shadowhunter's." Once the Demonic Ley Lines in place, you'll tap into the core, and we can kiss the demonic corruption goodbye."

"Right." Said Raj as he started to speak." And what happens if a demon shockwaves hits while you're using your magic?"

Once Raj have asked that question, he started o show a demonstration of what will happen to the Angelic Core if the demonic shockwaves hit it, it started to glow red, and then it started to explode.

"The core will be totally exposed." Said Raj as he look serious.

"Well, that doesn't look good." Said Jace as he look worried.

"If we're lucky, it'll only vaporize the Institute." Said Magnus as he look concerned.

"But what if we're not lucky?" Asked Izzy as she looks at Magnus.

"Better not to think about that." Said Magnus as he look worried.

"This is a risk we have to take." Said Alec as he look serious.

"The whole point of building the Institute away from the Demonic Ley Lines was to avoid something like this." Said Raj as he started to point at Magnus." Why not just quarantine the warlocks outside the city?"

"Because kicking innocent people out of their homes isn't going to solve anything." Said Alec as he glared at Raj.

"Neither will blowing up the Institute!" Shouted Raj as he glared at Alec.

"Who do you think you are?" Asked Izzy as she glared at Raj." By saying those things?!"

"You can't just go around quarantining Downworlders!" Said Clary as she glared at Raj.

"That's enough!" Said Alec as he sounded serious." This isn't just about the warlocks, you know what happened at the hospital, everyone is at risk."

When Alec have said that, it got all the Shadowhunter's to realize that he was right, that every single innocent mundane, shadowhunter, and downworlder is in danger, and then Alec continued to speak.

"We are under siege by a greater demon, it is our job to solve this problem." Said Alec as he look serious to everyone." Evacuate the Institute, essential personnel stay behind."

Then everyone have all started to evacuate the Institute, and then Alec and Magnus have started to go down to the Angelic Core to stop the Demonic Ley Lines, then as Underhill was about to evacuate the Institute, he saw Raj talking to two other Shadowhunter's and look like they were planning something, so he started to follow them.

Meanwhile down at the Institute, Alec and Magnus have both arrived at the basement where the Angelic Core is, once they step out of the elevator, they both saw a bright big glowing angelic energy at the center, and then Alec started to hack into the system.

"You sure about this?" Asked Magnus as he look at Alec.

"You got a better idea?" Asked Alec as he logs into the system.

"I could try it on my own." Said Magnus as he look at Alec." It'd be far more difficult, but at least you'll be safe."

"And let you hog all the glory?" Said Alec as he type into the system.

"Maybe." Said Magnus as he chuckle a bit." It's just that I don't want anything bad happening to you."

"As long as you're here, I'm not going anywhere." Said Alec as he smiles at Magnus." And besides baby, I don't want you to get hurt."

"Did you seriously call me baby?" Said Magnus as he look at Alec.

"Yeah, what are you going to do about it?" Asked Alec as he smirked at Magnus.

"When we get home, you are going to get a punishment for calling me that, and I think I might have to involve handcuffs." Said Magnus as he smirk at Alec.

"Well, I can't wait for that, should we at least finish this first?" Asked Alec as he smirk at Magnus.

"Well then, let's get started." Said Magnus as he takes of his coat.

Then Magnus started to use his magic, and then his magic started to go to the Angelic Core to stop the Demonic Ley Lines, while Alec was typing into the system, and then he looks at Magnus.

"A little further!" Said Alec.

Then Magnus have started to push his magic more to the angelic core, and then his magic have reach the core, and started to signal Alec to do it.

"Now!" Said Magnus.

Then Alec have started to press the button, but apparently it didn't work and it says unauthorized, Alec try to press the button again, but it didn't work, and Magnus was going a bit weak for holding the Angelic Core's energy.

"Alexander, I can't hold it much longer." Said Magnus as he groans a bit." Do it now!"

"I can't someone's locked me out!" Said Alec as he look concerned.

Meanwhile up at the main room of the New York Institute, everyone was ready to evacuate the Institute, then Underhill saw Raj and two other at the scanners, like they were doing something, and then he started to go to them.

"Raj, what are you doing?" Asked Underhill and got Raj's attention.

"I'm stopping Alec for trying to blow up the Institute." Said Raj as he look at Underhill.

"Are you insane, you can't just disobey Alec's order like that." Said Underhill as he glared at Raj.

"Come on, move it!" Said Izzy as she look at the other shadowhunter's." You don't want to be inside if this goes bad."

"We're not going anywhere." Said Raj as he look at Clary.

"Your orders were to evacuate." Said Jace as he glared at Raj and goes to him along with Izzy and Clary,

"Yeah, I know the orders." Said Raj as he frowns a bit." Look, I'm all for helping out the Downworlders, but we can't let Lightwood destroy the Institute to do it, without it, we leave New York completely defenseless."

"That is not your call to make." Said Clary as she glared at Raj.

"She's right Raj, you can't just go around and do what you think it's best." Said Underhill as he glared at

"Doesn't matter." Said Raj." I've already locked him out of the system."

"You did what?!" Said Underhill in shock.

"Then unlock it." Said Jace as he goes up to Raj.

Then Raj tried to fight Jace, but then Underhill went behind Raj and grab his arms tightly, and pushes him to the table to hold him down. Jace nodded his head at Underhill meaning that he appreciates it.

"Now!" Said Izzy as she glared at Raj.

"Not possible." Said Raj and then Underhill twisted Raj's arm a bit." Even if it was my answer would still be the same."

Then Izzy went to the computer to try to unlock the system to help Alec, but apparently it was already too late, and there was nothing she could do.

"Can you undo it?" Asked Clary as she looks concerned.

"No not anytime soon." Said Izzy as she look worried." It's too late."

That got Jace and Clary to look at each other with concern looks, while Underhill keeps on holding down Raj for what he has done. Meanwhile back at the Church of Talto, Lilith have father five more disciples for Jonathan's return, as she cuts a bit of their necks, their blood started to go down to the tomb of Jonathan's.

Meanwhile back at the basement of the New York Institute, Magnus was trying his very best to hold his magic at the Angelic Core, while Alec is trying to unlock the system of the core.

"Alec!" Shouted Magnus as he tried to hold his magic to the core.

"I need to release the energy manually!" Said Alec as he goes to the cords.

"Well whatever you do, do it quickly!" Said Magnus as he look weak holding his magic.

Then Alec have started to open the panel of the energy cords, then he tried to turn the lever, but it was rusted, and Magnus couldn't be able to hold the Angelic Core much longer with his magic.

"ALEXANDER!" Shouted Magnus.

"I'm working on it, it's rusted!" Said Alec as he took out his stele." It's rusted shut."

Then Alec have started to activate his strength rune, then with all his strength, he started to push the lever up, and then as Magnus gives his magic one final push to the angelic core, then it started to explode with some big energy, and then the Angelic Core have started to spread its energy all over the city.

Then as the blood was about to finish up at Jonathan's tomb, Lilith have started to sense something coming, then she look up to see the Angelic Core's energy coming straight towards her and her disciples. Then Lilith use her magic to stop the angelic energy, and it disappear, while her disciples look so confused.

"What happened?" Asked a man as he look confused.

"It's a minor setback but the altar is safe." Said Lilith as she look at Jonathan's altar." That's all that matters."

Then Lilith have look up at a window and started to think that someone is trying to stop her from bringing her son back, and she knew that she needed get someone to get her new disciples for her so she can get Jonathan back.

Meanwhile back at the New York Institute, Alec and Magnus have both stop the Demonic Ley Lines, and the Angelic Core is still safe, but apparently Magnus started to feel weak for using too much of his magic, that he fell to ground breathing heavily, and Alec goes to him and puts his hands to Magnus's shoulder.

"I did it." Said Alec as he smiles.

"You did it?" Said Magnus as he look at Alec with frown.

"Yeah!" Said Alec and he looks at Magnus." Well, maybe Maybe I got a little help."

"Uh-huh." Said Magnus as he started to pass out.

"Magnus!" Said Alec as he check on Magnus.

Alec have started to realize that Magnus had use too much of his magic, that he pass out with a fever, Alec touch his forehead and realize that it was really warm. Then Alec started to pick Magnus up bridal style, and started to head up to the main room.

When Alec have arrived at the main room with Magnus in his arms, he saw Clary, Izzy, and Jace with Underhill who is still holding Raj with a tight grip.

"Oh my god Magnus!" Said Clary as she goes to Alec and Magnus.

"What happen to him?" Asked Izzy as she began to grow worried.

"He got really weak after he use too much of his magic when he was reaching for the Angelic Core, and now he has a bit of a fever." Said Alec as he look at Magnus and then he started to frown." By the way, can anybody explain to me, why I couldn't be able to hack into the system?"

"Why don't you ask Raj and his goons here?" Said Jace as he glared at Raj.

"I was about to evacuate the Institute, when I saw Raj and his goons going to one of the computers, they were the one's who lock you out of the system." Said Underhill as he still Raj tightly.

"What do you expect, we couldn't let you risk blowing up the Institute, or else who will protect New York City?" Said Raj as he groan from Underhill's grip.

"Well, you're lucky that Magnus is not hurt or anything, because if your foolish act of judgement, he now has a fever for using too much of his magic." Said Alec as he glared at Raj.

"Is Magnus going to be okay?" Asked Izzy as she look worried.

"He will, he just need some rest, Clary I need you to make me a portal so I can take Magnus back home." Said Alec as he look at Clary and then looks at Underhill." But Underhill, I need you to take Raj and those other twos to the cells, I may be tired now, but tomorrow I am going there will be consequences for them."

Then Underhill nodded his head and started to take Raj down to the cells while Jace and Izzy took the other two shadowhunter's who were with Raj, then Clary started to create a portal for Alec and Magnus, and Alec have started to step through the portal with Magnus in his arms.

Then a few moments later, Alec and Magnus both arrived at the loft, then Alec started to go to the bedroom and lays Magnus on the bed, and Alec started to check Magnus's temperature. Alec notice that Magnus's forehead is still very warm, so he went to the kitchen to get a cloth and a bowl of water.

Alec started to take Magnus shirt off, he took off Magnus's jewelry, his shoes, socks and pants, except for Magnus's boxer and the star necklace that share the bond between the two, then Alec took out Magnus' favorite scented makeup wipes and he slowly started to remove the eye makeup and glitter from Magnus's face.

Alec always thought that Magnus was the most beautiful whenever he was barefaced and had no makeup at all. Then Alec pull the bed sheet covers over Magnus's body except for Magnus's bare chest.

Then Alec have started to wet the cloth and he put the cloth to Magnus's forehead. Then Alec started to take off his clothes except for his boxers, and started to go to the other side of the bed, then pulls the bed covers over his body except for his bare chest, and he pull Magnus close to him.

Alec started to hear Magnus's soft snoring and he smile at how peaceful Magnus is when he goes to sleep. Then Alec pulls Magnus closer to his chest, then as the they both went to sleep, Ale have started to realize that all the Demonic Ley Lines are now gone, but started to realize that this was only the beginning.
