Twelve.

Okay, so, I've been a bit busy and I know that's no excuse for the lack of updates. I just got a bunch of ideas and I had to make a list.
-----------------------

You felt your throat burn. You couldn't have been thirsty, could you? You grabbed the bottle of water you brought and took a sip. You googled "throat burning." It mentioned something about stomach acid and it rising up.

"Hey, (y/n)," Jean smiled, "We were thinking about going on one of the rides."

"Yeah, that sounds fun." You smiled.

"Great!" He looked toward Connie and Sasha who were in the distance. "Guys! We're going on a ride!" He yelled.

"Okay!" Connie nodded. "I'll join!" He ran toward you all. You, Connie, Jean, Eren and Marco went toward one of the rides. You felt a hand grasp your arm. You looked behind you and saw Connie.

"Hey, (y/n), I wanted to tell you something."

"Sure, what's up?" You asked, walking with Connie while the others were ahead.

"Well, you know how you all talked about Sasha and I?" He looked at you, his cheeks pink. "It turns out I like her."

"You do?!" You nearly yelled.

"Shh!"

"Sorry."

"What do I do?" Connie asked. You wanted to help him out, but, you didn't know what to do either. Your thoughts had immediately gone to Jean.

"Uh, drop a small hint? Just be yourself and try to see if she likes you. She could be afraid of telling you."

"Thank you. I'm also going to ask Jean. Not because it was bad advice, but I also want to see what he says, you know?"

"Yeah." You smiled. Connie walked over to Jean and started talking to him.

He walked back over to you. "Jean says to wait for Sasha to say something."

"What?! I mean, you could, but she's probably nervous." You sighed.

"Maybe. I'll just drop a hint. I got it!" He smiled and pulled out his phone before tapping on it. "I saw. . . This couple. . . They looked really cool together. . . Do you think you'll want to be that girl. . . One day?" He slowly said. "Sent!"

"Uh, Con--"

"She said 'only if it were a potato chip?!'" He yelled. "(y/n), she's not interested!"

"I'm sure she's just jok--"

"She said 'Just kidding.' Thank goodness! What do I put?!"

"Whatever you want."

"Whatever. . . I. . . Want--"

"Connie. Not literally. Just type whatever you want. It has to be from you." You explained.

"Okay." And then a minute later. "She sent a heart! Yes! Wait, it's blue. . . Wait, there's a laughing face--"

"(y/n)!" Jean smiled.

"Yeah?" You asked, a small smile on your face.

"Would you like to walk around and just hang out?"

"I'd love to." You grinned, linking your arm with his.

"I'm so glad to have you as my friend."

Your heart broke, hearing the word "friend." Maybe your crush was bigger than you thought.

"Right. Because, that's what we are. Friends." You let out a chuckle, trying to act normal and failing.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything is fine." You smiled, trying to not be nervous. Pink dusted your cheeks.

"You're blushing. . ." Jean noticed, staring into your (e/c) eyes.

"N-No! I'm not!" You protested, mentally facepalming.

"You are. Why? Is it Connie?"

You got lost in Jean's amber eyes and had to hold back from confessing your feelings to him. "No. . . It's not. . . Connie."

Your face was an inch away from his. "What is it?" He asked.

"Nothing." You replied, backing up. Your back touched the wall and now you were trapped. How would you be able to get out of kissing him?

"I think you're not telling me something. . ." His voice was quiet as he leaned forward.

"It's just. . ." Your eyes were half-lidded as you leaned forward, your lips centimeters away from his.

"It's just what?" He asked, pulling away. You blinked, trying to process what just happened.

"Sorry?"

"(y/n), what are you not telling me?"

You became upset and very confused. Did he really lead you on only to pull away?

"What are you not telling me?" You sighed. "Jean, what I'm not telling you is not important."

"What if it is?"

"What if it's not?" You frowned.

"(y/n)."

"Okay, fine. You want to know what it is?" You asked, realizing he wasn't going to give up.

"Yes." Jean let out a sigh.

"I'm just never able to spend any time with my dad. He's been away for so long." It wasn't really a lie. You were a bit bummed out about him being too busy with work.

Jean hugged you. "I'll always be here, no matter what. Just call or text me whenever."

You returned the hug and knew he meant what he said.

"Option A" or "Option B?"

Option A: Not update for a few weeks (close to a month) or more. But, work on writing all the chapters. Then, when I've written it all, post a chapter every day.

Option B: Stick to updating the book like I have. But, have updates still a bit slow. It would mean no break from the book. Basically, publish a chapter as soon as I write it.

PLEASE COMMENT ONE.

I love you. Stay you. Don't ever change for anyone. You're awesome.

If you want to be friends, don't be afraid to message me. If you don't, that's cool. I appreciate the support from you all!
