"We have Dance Central, Smash Bros. . . What do you want to play?" Marco asked. You were now in his room.

"Uh. . . Up to you." You said.

"Alright." He put 'Super Smash Bros' in the Wii U.

"Okay, who do you want to be?"

"Er, I'll be Sonic, I guess. Because, well, he's Sonic and I've used him before." You shrugged.

"Good choice. I'll be Ike."

You simply nodded. The match began. You made Sonic run towards Ike and kick him. Marco made Ike swing the sword at the hedgehog. Sonic jumped up, dodging the attack. He then went into the speed ball and attacked Ike. Ike hit him with the sword.

"Crap." You muttered as Sonic fell off of the platform. You pressed some buttons and made a spring appear. Sonic jumped on it and was saved.

After three minutes, time was up. You won by one point. "Good job." You said.

"Thank you. You too." Marco smiled.

"Thanks." You gave him a small smile.

"So, we were given the assignment about 'things I like about my partner.' I was paired up with Krista." He replied. "Who were you paired up with?"

"Jean. I thought he would have told you?" You raised an eyebrow.

Marco shook his head. "Jean talking about school? Unless it's a girlfriend or something epic, he won't."

You chuckled. "I suppose you're right. He didn't seem to like it."

Marco did the same. "Yeah. But, hopefully, he gets another friend through the project."

"Maybe." You shrugged.

You played on the Wii U for two hours with Marco. You glanced at the clock. 6:00 PM. "I should be going back home. There's still school tomorrow. I'll see you then."

"Yeah, I'll escort you if you want."

"Sure, yeah. Bye." You smiled, waving. You walked downstairs.

"Oh, hello! Are you leaving?" Mrs. Bodt asked kindly.

"Yeah, there's school tomorrow and I don't want to worry my mom." You said.

"Okay. Thanks for coming over!"

"Thanks for having me." You smiled. "Bye." You opened the door and left, closing it behind you. You walked along the sidewalk, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. You opened the door and yelled, "I'm home!"

"I'm in the kitchen!" Your mom yelled back. You entered the kitchen. "How was it?" She asked.

"Good, we played video games." You gave her a small smile. "It was fun."

"Good, good. You're going to Jean's house tomorrow, right?"

"Yeah." You nodded.

"Okay, that's fine." She walked into the living room. You followed her.

"Hey, Mom," You sat down on the couch after she did. "Do you think Dad will be here in a month or will it be longer?"

"I don't know, (n/n). That's not up to us. It's not in our hands. You know that." Your mom gave you a sympathetic look.

"I know." You sighed and stared at your hands that were in your lap.

"It'll be okay. You'll make more friends and hang out with them. Then, before you know it, he'll be here."

If I get more friends, he'll be here and I won't be waiting forever?

"So, I just have to make more friends and I won't be waiting?"

"No, (y/n). . . Just enjoy yourself." She smiled. "You don't want to use friends for your needs."

"You're right. Thanks, Mom." You hugged her. She returned the hug before you went to your room. You dialed your Dad's number.

Maybe he'll want to hang out sometime.

He picked up after the third ring. "Hello--"

"Dad, hi--"

"This is (d/n)'s phone. I'll return your call whenever I can. Please leave a message."

You sighed and hung up. You sat down on your bed.

Here's the next chapter! I will give you three facts about me.

1. I'm weird when it comes to saying "Thank you." I think it's polite so I say it to people. But, I sometimes say it too much. A random person will walk by and I'll say it. Then, I'm like "Why did I say that?"

2. I'm 50% Puerto Rican (I don't know Spanish, though.) 25% Irish and 25% Polish. I'm learning about my family, so. . Yay!

3. I have a dog and a cat. My dog is a plump beagle and my cat is. . . I don't know. But, she's anti-social. She rarely cuddles with me and won't really let me pick her up. She scratched me once on accident.
