Chapter Five: Meeting

Mack was waving to me so fast, it was almost as if something had possessed her arm the millisecond she saw me.

She ran up to me and gave me a very tight hug, “I can't believe you're here!” she shouted, bringing Angel towards me.

Angel smiled as she extended her hand to shake mine, “Hey.” she muttered.

I probably looked a bit angry and dumbfounded at how politely she acted to a stranger.

I hesitantly shook her hand and gave her a faint smile.

“Aren't you gonna say your name?” Angel chuckled, releasing her light grip from my sweaty hand.

Oh right, my name. I wasn't exactly comfortable to tell her just yet.

“Uh, I don't have one?” I said the first thing that came to mind, sweat sliding down my face. They both looked very confused.

“That's not tr—” Mack yelled, interrupted by me covering her mouth. She bit my hand, but I didn't mind it.

“Don't tell.” I whispered to her, somewhat giggling.

“Okay?” Angel sighed, shrugging it off and walking back towards the car, “Let's go back to the hotel.”

I nodded as I took back my hand from Mack's mouth, following Angel.

“Wait, where's your luggage?” Mack asked, looking around for it. She was honestly just making things harder for me.

“Airport lost it.” I shrugged, remembering that things like that could actually happen as I saw it on television once.

“Bad luck.” Angel giggled as she unlocked the car and went in. Mack jumped right in and sat down at the front while I sat at the back.

I kept quiet most of the time they were chatting and usually gave short answers when they brought me into the conversation.

It seems that this was going to be harder than I thought it would be.
