I look around to see half the woods on fire, "I think I jinxed it, Riley."

'Nikki, the Evil is close by. I can feel all the negative energy coming from it.' Snow tells me.

'Everyone is going crazy because not only has the Evil shown up, it has brought a large number of Hunters with it.They have attacked the pack house. Both packs have started attacking back. The women, elderly, and children have been taken to an underground safe room.' Silver informs.

"Guys, I'm going to ask that you stay calm. I will not be shifting to fight the Evil. I will only shift once into my lion, but only to ask my grandpa for help with the Hunters."

'We understand your decision, Nikki.' Both Snow and Silver reply.

I shift into my lion and roar the same roar as I did on my first shift.

All too soon, all the wildcats surround around me.

'It's been some time, Child. How do you need our help?' Grandpa asks.

'The Evil has not come alone. It brought Hunters with it. There are two packs fighting them off, but I have been informed that their numbers are high. Please, help them.' I beg.

'We will help them, but make sure that you come back safe after you destroy the Evil.' Grandpa orders.

'I will. I made a promise to someone I love that I would never leave him.'

I shift back to my human form.

Grandpa nods his head before growling. All the wildcats head in the direction of the pack house.

'Nikki, where are you?' Riley questions. Since we mated, we can communicate when we need to. 'Nikki, please wait for me. I just need to pass some Hunters.'

I shake my head when I realize that the Evil brought Hunters to distract everyone so that no one can help me.

'I'm sorry, Riley, but I have to finish this now. I will find you when it's over. I love you.'

'No! Nikki, please! Wait for me. I love you, too. We'll fight this together.' Riley pleads.

'I'm sorry, Riley.' I block him and everyone from my mind.
