one of my favorite parts ^^ lolz

Hello, it's me like a year and a half after finishing this book. I kid you not, I just basically read this whole book over again and I always forget how much I love the characters.

I admit, there are sooo many typos and there are many points where the cringe is unbearable but I laughed many many times haha.

So I thought you all deserved an Epilogue. Plus, after reading it again, I kind of want to know what happens too ;)

Read on,

-Ally

(Wow it's been a while since I've said that)

[UNEDITED because it wouldn't be a real Five Things chapter if it wasn't ;) ]

"You're sure that we have everything?" I ask Meg, my heart pounding uncontrollably feeling a case of nerves mixed with excitement.

My best friend rolls her round brown eyes, amusement sparkling in the beautiful orbs. Her short brown hair has grown in the year it's been since she began dating Darren and a happy glow seems to alight her face more and more every day she's with him. "Yes, I'm positive. Now just relax. He'll be here soon."

I nod, blowing air through my cheeks. "You're right. I need to chill out." I pause, "Wait, when is he supposed to be here?" I gulp.

Meg waves me off, shaking her head and mumbling, "Freaking crazy lady. Calm down."

I shoot her a glare with half the vigor I usually would considering the importance of this moment.

"Honey, it's fine. You look beautiful and he's going to love what you've done. Dad and I will be back around eleven, okay? You kids have fun." My moms soft hand touched my arms as she leans in to kiss my cheek.

"Thanks, mom. Have fun." I give her a soft smile, my mind racing on the inside. When her and my father walk out the door my heart sputters even faster as I become more aware of Zedd's close arrival.

I groan, tucking my curled hair behind my ear. Turning, I make a dash to the bathroom to check my appearance one last time. Sighing, I stare into the bathroom mirror as I smooth down my floral dress. Different shades of light pink, white and cream mixing together in small flowers over the short sleeved wrap around dress. Or as the french would say, robe.

I'm learning french now, no big deal. Granted, it's on an app on my phone but I still brag on it when I get the chance.

I shake my head, clearing my thoughts as I stare at my reflection. Struggling to balance in these nude strappy heels, I check my phone. My eyes stick to the text message I just received.

Zedd:

Hey babe, I'll be there in a few. Can't wait to see you.

I bite my lower lip and respond with a heart emoji. I should probably explain what's going on, shouldn't I?

Over the last year, Zedd and I have remained in a healthy and strong relationship. We finished out our last year of high school after our eventful summer and after we graduated, Zedd pulled me aside and informed me that he would be leaving for the summer to travel and clear his mind before he decides what he wants to do with the rest of his life.

I guess it was some type of teenage "I don't know what to do with my life" syndrome.

He wanted to take me with him but I had an internship that lasted throughout the summer and it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. It ended up being a good decision because it set me up for a great job opportunity to do a lot of amazing things.

I supported his decision in leaving because we both needed time to grow. The long distance relationship thing seriously sucked but now he's coming back and I've planned a surprise party with all of our friends which explains my nerves.

I haven't seen Zedd for two months, twenty one days, and fifteen hours. Yes, I've been counting. It's been absolute torture to only see him on a screen.

You also find out real quick that there are only so many ways to say I love you and I miss you over text before it gets really old and you just want to see the other person. It's been a stretch for our relationship but I think it's done us some good.

"Max! Oh my word! You're either taking the biggest crap ever or you're being a coward and locking yourself in the bathroom!" Garrett shouts from the other side of the door as he bangs away at the wood.

I close my eyes before swinging the door open with a frustrated expression aimed at my brother. "Garrett." I seethe. "Can you not be aggravating for two seconds?"

He crosses his arm before releasing a scoff. "You need to chill, baby sis. Zedd is going to be here any minute and you've been obsessing over whether the finger sandwiches should be cut in squares or triangles! And who freaking cares which pitcher you use for the lemonade!?"

I purse my lips in a pout. "Those were hard decisions to make, you jerk."

"Whatever. Oh my gosh I think I hear someone honking!" He gasps causing my eyes to widen before I make a dash for the front door, peeking out the window.

I don't see him and I turn around in confusion only to see Garrett, Meg, and Layla standing there with their arms crossed.

"What's going on?" I ask.

"Max...I think you just need to sit down and look pretty until he gets here. I've been watching you slave away and twist yourself up in nerves over his arrival. This isn't going to be any fun for you if you keep stressing." Layla says gently before Garrett nods in agreement, throwing his arm over her shoulder affectionately.

"I'm not obsessing and I'm not stressing!" I yell, panting.

"Uh..." Meg says lowly, grabbing my bare forearm and guiding me to the window. "Listen, he's here. So stay calm and remember that you're in love with this guy and he's been away for a long time. Just focus on the fact that you've missed him and you're finally seeing him. Forget the rest of the party stuff. It's all already taken care of, okay?" She says, nodding to the window. My eyes move in that direction to see Zedd pulling up in his sleek black vehicle.

A wide grin spreads over my face as my bottom lip is clenched in my teeth to contain the smile. "You're right. I just wanted everything to be perfect for him." I explain, bending down to slip off the uncomfortable heels.

"I know. But I also know all he wants right now is to just see you." She shrugs with a smile. I look over to the couch at Darren who is pretending to not be watching us by tapping on his phone.

"Your girlfriend knows her stuff." I tell him jokingly.

He smiles, giving Meg a wink. "She's a smart one."

"Don't push it." I say dryly, giving Meg a teasing look.

"See, you're already more relaxed. Go get him." She grins.

I blow nervous air through my cheeks, feeling self conscious. He's going to wonder why I'm dress up. What if I don't look like he remembers? Will he be disappointed with the party?

I open the front door and look through his windshield at him as he searches his car for something. He hasn't seen me yet.

Stepping out onto the front porch, I close the front door, the afternoon summer air clinging to my skin. My eyes squint against the sun as the humid wind blows up the bottom of my dress slightly, my hair dancing along with it.

When his head lifts up, his red hair looking lighter in the beam of sun coming through his open window, his face lights up with a smile.

He instantly pushes the door open, shoving his hand in his pocket before taking it out soon after. I pay no attention to the action, a smile spreading across my cheeks.

I don't say anything as I walk towards him, my bare feet warm against the pavement. My eyes glide over his tan khaki shorts, baby blue adidas t-shirt, and his signature pair of dirty white vans. The white material being even dirtier from accompanying him on his travels. My heart pounds faster as if my body can't contain the excitement.

"You're tan." Is the first thing I state, taking in his golden skin. His freckles being even darker and more prominent. It's crazy to think I would call those cute things stupid more than once a day.

"I hope so." He laughs, his teeth looking even whiter than before.

Zedd stops a few feet in front of me, his hazel eyes running up and down my form as he takes in my dress and hair. I'm even wearing makeup which isn't a normal thing for me.

"You look amazing, Max." He breathes, taking one steps closer.

"You don't look awful." I shrug with a smirk.

"Okay I take it back, you look decent." He rolls his eyes as he jokes.

"I jest. You look handsome." I admit with a teasing tone. This breaks any ice causing my muscles to relax before I surge forward, throwing my arms around him.

"Oof." He grunts, taking a step back as he braces himself under my weight. "It's nice to see you too, babe." Zedd laughs.

"I missed you." I mumble against his shoulder, my eyes closed as I breathe in his cologne.

His arms tighten around me as he nuzzles his head against mine. "I missed you too."

I relax under his embrace, all the weeks of misery melting away. "How was Berlin?" I ask, speaking of the last place he stopped at before coming home.

"It was nice. It was hard to ever have a great time without you but I still made the most of it." He tells me, not pulling away in the slightest as if he's afraid to let me go again. "How was your last day of that internship?" He asks.

I shrug. "It was okay. I learned a lot but, like I've told you before, the people there were boring and...adultish."

He laughs, pulling away to look at me. His large hands cup my face comfortably. "That's not a word."

"Yes it is." I say defiantly.

"No. It's not." Says firmly.

"Yes it is." I say again, louder.

"Babe, no it is no- " He's stopped abruptly when I stand on my tippy toes, planting a sweet kiss on his mouth.

He instantly melts, as he smiles against my lips before pulling away. "Okay fine. I'll even get it put in the dictionary if you want." His grin goes crooked.

I smirk, grabbing his arm and pulling to along with me to the front door. It suddenly swings open to reveal a fuming Garrett.

"I told you to never ever kiss anywhere near me!" He yells, Layla holding his hand behind him as she attempts to pull him away like a rabid dog in a leash...which sounds pretty relevant.

I look at Zedd expecting him to be embarrassed or to find his cheeks a matching shade of red to mine. What I find, though, is a cocky smirk as if he's proud of his actions.

"Garrett, shut up." He says, shaking his head.

Garrett sputters, his eyes wide. "Zedd! So help me I will - AH WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU BEAST RELEASE HER!" My brother screams when Zedd smoothly turns, grabbing the back of my neck and planting another kiss on my lips, taking his sweet time in looking away from he once he's done so, a wider smirk on his lips when my cheeks turn red.

"Now, I believe there is a party in my honor." He widens his arms as a gesture before throwing his arm over me and giving me a wink.

My eyes roll but pride swells in my chest at the fact that this is my boyfriend.

"Babe, I've told you once and I've told you twice; no need to check me out so blatantly." He mutters in my ear quietly before placing an innocent kiss on the skin behind it.

I push him away, marching into the house with a pout on my lips.

"Max, no wait! Come on!" He yells behind me before following my stride.

"Typical." Everyone in the room mumbles to each other as he grabs my arm.

I can't help but smile at the statement because they're so right.

"I love you." I say confidently.

He looks surprised by my sudden change in mood but doesn't seem to mind, another smirk playing in his lips. "I love you too, Maxine."

I frown at my name. "You're a butthole."

"Yeah yeah, I know."
