Night 1. Part 2

It has long been known that children have a very well-developed imagination and can see things that an adult cannot see. Especially if it is something that children see in the dark, and Yuki is no exception.

......

- *hah* *hah* - I'm not the only one here! - I whispered.

To be honest, I was hoping that it was my wild imagination playing out, that I was just imagining things and that I didn't see anyone. It was just my dream.

But something inside me was screaming that it wasn't a dream, and that it was real, just like what I'd seen out there in that dark hallway, which was starting to scare me even more.

What if it did decide to go into my room? What should I do and where should I hide? And would it make sense if I knew I couldn't hide from someone like him.

Peering into the darkness, it seemed to me that someone was constantly looking at me, as if studying me, but I could not find the source of my anxiety. As soon as I pointed the flashlight to the place where I thought the subject was, I noticed at once that there was no one there, and the place was just empty.

But even after I made sure that no one was there, I felt that it was already watching me from another place.

- Man, I will become crazy at this rate.

Still, I couldn't resist saying it. Even though I needed to be as quiet as possible, in a situation like this it was difficult to do so, because silence only put more pressure on me than it calmed me down.

But as soon as those words left my mouth, after a couple of minutes that feeling of constant restlessness was gone, as if the creature that had been watching me had heard me and left my room.

I didn't know if that was good or bad. On the one hand I knew there was someone here, which, of course, made me nervous, but on the other hand, as soon as it disappeared from my room, my attention returned to the darkness, and it pressed on me again.

It was scary to peer through the gap between the door every time, because there was solid darkness all over the room. Only a flashlight saved me, but I couldn't use it all the time either.

So to relieve some of the stress, I decided to look around my room to see if everything was still there, or if something had changed.

I started my inspection with the bed, namely I wanted to check my stash, which for some reason with 3 batteries, I made a long time ago. I don't know why I did it, but now all my hopes were that it was still there.

The place itself with the batteries was behind the nightstand. Why there? It's easy-usually no one would go in there, but for me it was a handy hiding place. It was mostly where I hid my money, which I got pretty rarely. I don't remember what the batteries were doing there, I just decided to leave them there in case something happened and they would help me.

And I guess I listened to myself for a reason, because if they were still there, it would help me a lot, though something inside me told me that it wouldn't do much good.

Pulling the nightstand back a bit, I looked in the place and was disappointed that there was only one battery, though I remember there were three, but I was thankful that there was at least one.

I decided to check my stash a little better, but there was nothing there, and there was money, but nothing more that would help me. I don't think the creature would leave me alone for the money.

When I realized that there was nothing else for me to see, I stood up and pointed the flashlight at the bed and then I was horrified at what I saw. There was a girl sitting on my bed, looking at me.

But it wasn't that that frightened me, it was the fact that she looked like a bear. She had ears like a bear and the same color hair. Her clothes were the same color, but different shades, but they were a little torn. She looked something like a child who was the same age as me, but on the other hand, it seemed to me that she would be older than Mike.

But those were all fleeting thoughts that were quickly replaced by fear and terror, which made me unable to move, my body just refusing to move. I even stopped breathing. Fear was all I felt right now.

I was more afraid, not of what she looked like, but of what she might do. In fact, the fear was caused by myself.

The girl herself did not inspire fear, in a way she was even nice, but my intuition was screaming at me that I should not go near her under any circumstances, or better yet, if I could drive her out of my room.

And I didn't know what to do, because first I had to get over my fear, which was not easy.

She, meanwhile, smiled at me and then my flashlight went out.

And now I really felt terror, goose bumps instantly ran all over my body, and my hands and feet were shaking nonstop, waiting for further developments.

But fortunately for me, the flashlight turned on again, but the girl was no longer there. And then a very stupid idea popped into my head, but it was hard to deny it.

What if she was an animatronic? And that thought really scared me. Why? Because I'm afraid of them. I can't figure out why, but every time I see them, I tense up and try to keep my eyes on them.

So why do I have this thought? I do not know why, but she looked too good for a human, if you can call her so, for her ears, and the outfit itself was something like a bear in the form of a human.

And if that's the case, it gets a lot worse than it is now, because the darkness, my phobia of animatronics, and the night are the perfect combination for my fears.

But after a couple of minutes I tried to dismiss these thoughts, realizing that this wasn't the time or place for this.

Nervously swallowing my saliva, I decided to continue looking around the room. The next target was the dresser. It was next to the nightstand, so I didn't have to go far.

If I remember correctly, in the first drawer there are a lot of useless things, I should check it first, in case I find something useful.

After opening the dresser, I began to go through a lot of trinkets. Some of them would only turn on when they had a battery in them, so I checked them first, but unfortunately they weren't there. It felt like someone had taken them out of there on purpose.

It took about 10 minutes to look through the entire dresser and I could only find one battery, for a total of four now. Not much, but if you save them up, they'll last me a few nights, at least I hope so.

After looking through the first drawer, there's no point in checking the others, since they're mostly stuff.

After exploring one more place, I shined the light back on my bed, but to my luck, there was no one there.

Next I decided to check the closet, I don't know why, but something told me that there was something interesting inside there.

After looking around the room again, I went to the right door first to make sure no one was there.

I put my ear to the crack and listened to see if anyone was there, but all I got was silence. When I calmed down a bit, I decided to do something a little silly, but I had to check it out nonetheless

I left my room and decided to try to walk to the stairs, but as soon as I left my room, I immediately felt someone's eyes on me.

This confused me a little, but I decided that I was just imagining things and that my imagination was to blame, but I also kept my guard up in case anything happened.

The first steps were fairly easy, but as I walked more than halfway down the corridor, I began to sense danger. My gut was screaming for me to stop immediately and go back into the room, but I decided to try to take a few more steps.

But just as I was about to do so, I saw someone's eyes watching me from the stairs.

- *She's not alone?! * - I thought, realizing it was someone else.

I rubbed my eyes in panic, hoping I was imagining things. Indeed, when I opened my eyes, there was no one on the stairs.

On the one hand I would have been glad to see no one else, but on the other hand the fear seized me again, for if she was gone, why didn't I hear him or her footsteps! Could they really walk silently!

Each time I had more and more questions, but how to get answers, only God knows.

I decided not to procrastinate and quickly returned to the room to rest from my, albeit short, but no less dangerous adventure.

A little rest did help me, as I was able to calm down a little, but still I could not feel safe. They could come to me at any moment, and then it would definitely be "Game Over."

After thinking about it for a while, I went back to my original goal of checking out my closet.

It didn't look out of place, but there was something about it that bothered me.

When I came closer I noticed that the doors were slightly ajar, although I remembered that I always closed them.

Then a very unpleasant idea crept into my head.

What if while I wasn't in my room, one of them had managed to get into my room, and hid in the closet, waiting for me.

It was scary, since now the enemy was already in my room, but I didn't know how to check it.

The only thing I could think of in this situation was to put my ear to the crack to hear if anyone was in it or not.

Yes, it was an unrealistically stupid plan, but I couldn't think of anything else. I have to leave everything as it is, so I have to choose the least worst possible option.

Gathering all my childish spirit, I put my ear to the door, but there was silence in response, but after a couple of seconds I heard someone's breathing.

But what happened next struck me even more

- ...come to me... - the creature said in a pleasant, female voice.

A voice! I heard her voice!

She's definitely here, and I know it!

In a panic I tried to turn and run away quickly, but I was grabbed by someone's gentle hands.

It was her!

Before I knew it, she was quickly pulling me into the closet and closing the door behind her.

I was trapped in a closet with some creature, and from the looks of it, she was a girl, but it was all just a passing thought.

The most important thing was that I wasn't alone here, just a meter away from me was her. Someone who could do anything to me, and I wouldn't even have time to react in any way.

There was no point in mentioning that I was shaking like an aspen leaf.

But it didn't end there. As my eyes gradually got used to the darkness, I was able to see her. She was very tall, which told me that any attempt to escape was useless.

She must have realized that I could finally see a little in the darkness, so she knelt in front of me, gradually bringing her face closer.

But I abruptly remembered that I was holding a flashlight in my hands.

Yeah, that's right, I just have to turn on the flashlight. Maybe this will help me.

- ...I wouldn't advise you to do that.... if you don't want to get hurt or have me break the flashlight, you'd better not turn it on.... - she spoke to me in a whisper, but even so I was able to understand that she has a very beautiful voice, and I could see a little bit of her facial features, but I can already say with certainty that she looks very beautiful.

Stop! That's not what I need to think about right now, my life is in danger right now!

My hands were shaking and I didn't know what to do. On the one hand I need to turn on the flashlight, but on the other hand she made it clear to me that it would be worse if I turned it on.

Choosing the less worst-case scenario, I decided not to turn it on after all. My trembling hands, along with the flashlight, slid back to the floor, and I tried to crawl back a little, but I couldn't because of the wall I was against.

- ...Good boy, you made the right choice to listen to me...

After which she put her hand on my cheek.

All my senses had been screaming for me to get out of here as soon as possible, but what could I do now? She's stronger than I am, and I simply couldn't push her away.

- ...P-Plea...ease...don...don't...h...hurt...m-m-m-me..., - I said in a shaky voice.

It was all I could do in this situation, since I was at her complete disposal. I could only ask her to spare me, hoping it would work .

- ...ha ha ha, spare you? What's in it for me? Why should I spare you? What can you offer me...?

I froze in fear, not knowing what to answer.

- .....hm....thought....what about....

But no sooner had she finished talking than I heard the alarm clock ring from my room.

Oddly enough, she stopped for some reason.

- .....shit.... you got lucky, kid, but next time you won't get away from me that easily! I look forward to seeing you again! Now, I wish you a good night!

What did she mean by that? Oh, for some reason I got sleepy all of a sudden. What the hell is happening to me?

- ...Bye-bye...

That was the last thing I heard before I fell into a deep sleep.

To be continued...
