Prologue Part 2

Becca's POV 1945

After my show was over, I ran back to the party room. It was empty, except for Baby herself. That's when I noticed she was covered in red, and that Carlos was nowhere in sight. I ran at Baby, I assumed the worst. I didn't want it to be true, but it was hard the think of what else that red could be. Sure enough, she tried to run, but she wasn't used to the extra weight. She left a trail of what I now knew as blood as she tried to get away. I jumped on her, using some of my skills I had learned from being Ballora, to get on top of her. I couldn't let anyone see her again, not that this wouldn't close us down for good. I had to know first. She tried to throw me off, but I grabbed ahold of a cord in the back of her head right before she bucked me. The cord went with me, and it tore right out of her. It turned out to be multiple cords wrapped up as one. I hit the backwall, and had to will myself to stay awake. Without those cords, I knew she couldn't function properly, so I let her flail around until she fell over, I wouldn't be able to get close, or else 2 people would be found dead in this restauraunt. I knew Afton's daughter had to be dead. There was no way she could have lived. I was almost sure of it. Whenit was safe to stand up, or at least try to for me, I tried to reach her. I fell over, so I gave up on the whole standing idea and crawled the rest of the way. Forcing th plates open was harder then it looked, Mr. Afton made it look easy. Eventually, I was able to pry them open, and sure enough, inside lay her body. It was so mangled, so torn up, her face coverd in scratches. She was barely recognisable, but I had spent so much time with her that I knew it could be nobody but her. There was a metal beam in her stomach. I called 911, and shut the place down for the day. I was surprised any of the employees didn't question it. I kept Fred and Carlos there. Fred was in shock while Carlos looked like he might faint or puke. Or both.

Then I had to tell Mr. Afton.

The moment he heard about it, he ran to his daughter. The paramedics came, and pronounced her dead on site. It was now we began to understand Afton's reasons for keeping her away. Was it a malfunction? Did he know there was a possibility of this happening? For now, me, Fred, and Carlos hoped he didn't put the blame on any of us. Fred had been preforming shows all evening long, Carlos had tried his best, and I was busy with my job. He couldn't blame us, but I could tell he did anyways.

Afton's POV, two days later, 1945

It was time for them to pay. My daughter was dead because of them. I told them to keep her away, and now she was dead. Taken from me. The one thing that meant the world to me. She was never coming back. I was going to surprise them with something, but now, I would have to use their surprise for what I had planned for tonight.

I kept the place closed ever since she died. I invited Carlos, Fred, and Becca to my underground 'workshop' I told them. This was where I created Baby. They were all waiting for me outside where I had asked them to meet me. They, once again, gave their condolences, but I didn't want their pity. I now wanted them to suffer like I was right now. I would soon have my wish. I led them intoan elevator, and they followed me. They would be stupid not to. I pushed the button to go down, and we began our decent. This elevator was so old and poorly made that it creaked and wobbled as it went down. I knew Becca thought something was off, she gripped the handrail of the elevator so tightly her knuckeles turned white. None of them were in their costumes. I would be providing them their costumes later. The elevator stopped, and just to be dramatic, didn't open up immedietly. When it did, everyone got a beautiful view of a wall. They all looked pretty confused, until Fred looked down and everybody followed suit. I could tell that they now noticed the vent. "Ladies first" I smiled, then motioned towards the vent. For a split second, I thought Becca was going to refuse me. She seemed very skeptical at first, but after thinking for a few seconds, she pulled off the grate and crawled through. Then Carlos, then me, then Fred.

After we made it into the main control module, I showed them the seperete vents. "Becca, you can go through there, Carlos and Fred, you get to go through this one" I said, motionig Becca to the left and the boys to the right. They obeyed without question. As soon as I knew they were through, I locked the vents. I saw Becca turn around as the lock clicked, the noise making her jump. Her face showed shock, and she ran to the viewing window, but there was no way for her to get to me. She screamed for mercy, but she was wasting her breath. It was then that Fred and Carlos got the hint. All three of them were now at the reinforced glass, pounding. Screaming. But while Fred and Carlos screamed a list of curses at me, Becca pleaded with me, apoligizing once more, saying she knew I was a good man. I felt something for her in that moment. Remorse. But should I let her live? It was too risky, she would have to share the same fate as the boys. But I would make them go first.
