Chapter 3: Night 2-The Unknown Easter Eggs

Phone Guy: "...So because of the recent power outage, your power is kinda limited at the moment, but since nothing has been reported recently, you should be fine."

*beep*

Sailor: "UGH!!! I SWEAR this guy thinks this place is literally some UNICORN PARADICE!"

Sinakumi: "Oh....tonight something bad is gonna happen..."

Sailor: "Oh, ain't THAT obvious!!!"

Sailor and Sinakumi had just arrived at the office flashlight and tablet in hand. Both thinking that this Phone Guy is seriously mental. But now they're both think about what limited power they had now...and the legit hours they had to waste. Sailor patrolled the doors while Sinakumi whipped through the cameras.

Sailor: "Anything happing?"

Sinakumi: "Nothing yet."

She first kept an eye on the stage where the nonhuman looking animatronics stared off in the distance of the dinning room. She wondered why Chica looked so elegant and model like that one time. And how did she know he was a male? Not even Sinakumi knew the answer to that.

Sailor: "Make sure you're monitoring that Pirate Cove place. Foxy's there..."

Sinakumi: "Right...uh..."

Sailor: "Sina?"

Sinakumi: "Why...why is he looking at me...?"

Sailor: "Let me see...oh gosh you're right...look you gotta keep checking on him. I don't know how Scott makes these games, since everything is so freaking random..."

Sinakumi: "No freaking duh...."

Trying to sound calm and collected like Sailor was looking like, Sinakumi tried to distracted herself with staring at Foxy's yellow glare. But she completely forgot about the stage and Chica made his move.

Sailor: "Dang...!"

*punch*

Sailor punches the right door button and the door flies shut. She switches on the flashlight and Chica's frozen, male model figure stares at the girls who were now shivering.

Sailor: "S-Sin...a....Sinakumi? Why didn't you see that duck boy dashing through the hallways?"

All Sinakumi could hear through her fears were; 'Sinakumi', 'duck boy', 'dashing' and '...ways'. The rest was completely omitted and her brain was quick to try to make sense out of Sailor's words. Which ended up in something that was completely different.

Sinakumi: "W-what...does...C-Chica's...f-freaking looks gotta do about...o-our current s-situation...?!"

Sailor: "...Right back at you..."

Sailor...seeming to still be sane, taps on the glass where Chica's face was still projected. She looked really close at his face, then she clicked the flashlight off. Clicked it back on. Chica wasn't there. Sinakumi resumed looking through the cameras and saw that Foxy wasn't there. She flipped through the cameras and stopped at the left hallway shrieking a scream of bloody murder. Chica flinched sneaking back into the dinning room.

Sailor: "Sina! Do you WANT them to know where we are!?"

Sinakumi: "Not now...!"

Sinakumi dropped the tablet like it was some white hot branding iron and slammed her hand on the left door button. Just in time to hear a crash on the other side of the door, followed by a low grumbling voice...

Foxy: "Urgh...ah...he...me..."

The two girls held their breath but couldn't make out the words right. Once they felt complete silence and safety of Foxy's retreating steps, Sailor made a grab for Sinakumi's shoulders and shook her like crazy.

Sailor: "Why. Did. You. Not. Tell. ME?!"

Sinakumi: "I-I saw...Foxy...running down the hallway...!"

Sailor: "...Sinakumi...you seriously haven't played this game for a long time..."

Sinakumi: "Sorry...lift the right door...Chica's in the dinning room...I don't wanna waste the power."

Sailor: "...Got it."

*shoom*

Sinakumi: "Hey, Sailor?"

Sailor: "Yeah?"

Sinakumi: "You're a good friend...I would be dead if you weren't here. You seem to know the game better than me..."

Sailor: "Don't make me blush. Seriously. Don't."

They began to laugh a little. Smiling while they still could. Both of them wished so much that this moment would last forever. Where they didn't have to worry about their lives. Where they were sitting in Sinakumi's living room or Sailor's bedroom, talking about the newest games and latest updates from Sailor's 'Star Crossed Myth' story, eating Pocky, complaining about how difficult homework was, only to have it done under 15 minutes. Everything was just so easy together...Sinakumi thought...back then, anyway.

Sailor: "Hey, Sina! You blew up my comment section!"

Sinakumi: "Oh, you noticed? You asked for questions, so I gave you questions!"

Sailor: "Yeah, but I didn't mean for you to destroy the section! Let other people ask!"

Sinakumi: "Haha...sorry!"

Sinakumi wondered why she was thinking about this in the middle of a life and death fight for their lives. She shook her head and returned to the cameras.

Ow...my face...gah, why did they have to shut the door right when I get there? Couldn't they have closed it before I get there?

Chica: 'Ooh, Foxy, you okay?'

Foxy: 'My face feels like someone hit me with that cupcake of yours.'

Chica: 'Don't insult my cupcake...'

Freddy: 'Chica, what are you doing back here?'

Chica: 'I got an idea...wanna scare them a bit?'

Foxy: '...Hold up...where are you?'

*****

Foxy: '...I don't think we should do this...'

Chica: 'I'm bored...I haven't done anything but stare through a window and face plant the floor.'

Foxy: 'Face plant the floor?'

Chica: 'Teal night guard's over pitched scream.'

Foxy: 'Oh, you mean Sinakumi?'

Freddy: 'A-HEM!'

Foxy: 'Oh, um...I mean, yeah I heard the night guard's scream too...'

I can hear the night guards voices as me and Chica approach the left and right doors, both wide open.

Teal Night Guard: "...Right? And I dressed up as Toy Bonnie for Halloween just to match my hair."

Black Night Guard: "Yeah, that Marionette costume was just murder..."

Murder? What are they talking about? Halloween? Oh, that? I haven't gone trick-or-treating...in so long...I can hear that Chica had also stopped to listen too.

Teal Night Guard: "Remember when I first met you? When I moved to Shippensburg?"

Black Night Guard: "Oh, right...and your sisters came with you, too...where are they now?"

Teal Night Guard: "Probably back at home...man, I can't believe were this far in the night. Where are the...? Go!"

*shoom*

Both doors fly down, scaring both me and Chica , retreating out of the way of camera range. THAT. Was ANYTHING BUT expected.

Foxy: 'C-Chica...? You live...?"

Chica: 'Surprisingly, yes...though my soul nearly left my suit, there...'

Foxy: "Wait...literally!?"

Chica: 'Dude...did you talk!?'

Foxy: 'Oh, sorry, didn't mean to...'

Chica: 'Look, Foxy, if we could actually leave by being scared, we should be animals right now...'

Foxy: 'Well...we're sort of are...'

Chica: 'That's...not what I meant...'

Freddy: '5 A.M. boys, make your night useful.'

Foxy: '....'

Chica: '....'

Foxy/Chica: '...Got it.'

*ding, dong, ding, dong...ding, dong, ding, dong*

Sinakumi/Sailor: "YAY!!!!"

Sinakumi: "Fina-freaking-ly!!!!"

Sailor: "Haha...what's that supposed to mean?"

Sinakumi: "I dunno, but it's somethin' good!"

Sinakumi/Sailor: "AH, HAHAHAH!!!"

Sailor: "Wow! Well, that night was less painful..."

Sinakumi: "And you said that it would get harder!"

Sailor: "Huh...well, I hope I can retract that..."

Sinakumi: "What...?"

Sailor: "Now that things are easy, I hope they STAY that way."

Sinakumi: "Yeah..."

They sunk down to their knees, heads resting on the desk. They had a long awaited smile on their faces. Suddenly the girls jump off the desk, caused by an abrupt ringing sound.

Sailor: "...Ah, right...Vincent."

Sinakumi: "Haha...right...ahem... Good morning, Vincent."

Vincent: "And good morning to you, Sinakumi. How are things doing at the pizzeria? Everything in order?"

Sinakumi: "Yeah, this night was WAY easier than last night's shift."

Vincent: "...Was there any difficulties you could've alerted me last night?"

Sinakumi: "Uh...oh, no, it's just...Phone Guy explained more things to us and we get the mechanics of the...job a bit better, so, yeah, things were easier."

Sailor does a facepalm.

Vincent: "Hmm...interesting...okay, please exit through the right hallway and-"

Sailor: "Yeah! Yeah! We know! Thanks! Hey, I gotta question to ask."

Vincent: "What would that be?"

Sailor: "Did you know...that these animatronics MOVE at night? And they're trying to KILL us?"

Vincent: "Oh-ho...right...they moved, huh? They did that last time. They're just trying to find where the people are, since they're not totally shut down. You might want to consider being quiet so they'll stay where they are."

Sailor: "But robots aren't baka; they know where the office is and will try to get here. Why do we have heavy drop doors and a camera system? Shouldn't you guys have that kind of stuff around the pizzeria? Or you could just shut them off."

Sinakumi: "'Baka'? Seriously?"

Sailor: "Shush, Sina. It's a free country."

Author: "Culture fact from Japan: Baka means airheaded moron, or something along those lines."

Sinakumi: "Yeah..."

Vincent: "...It's a pain to shut them off all the way. The developers of the animatronics did not install a safe way to have them properly shut down and properly turn on."

Sailor: "Who're the developers?"

Vincent: "...Ms. Pisces, you ask too many questions. Have a good day."

*beep*

Vincent's usual happy and encouraging voice subsided to an irritated and dismissing tone. It reminded Sailor of a ticked off King from Scorpio's sequel (Star Crossed Myth reference) and reminded Sinakumi of a ticked off Seven from Day 6 (Mystic Messenger reference).

Sinakumi: "Don't you wanna dig deep..."

Sailor: "Vincent was able to answer those questions...that means Scott had that programmed that into the game...!"

Sinakumi: "Sailor, you're being to paranoid...what's the big deal of Scott doing a couple missed Easter eggs?"

Sailor: "They're. Not. Easter eggs...Sinakumi. I think...that they only show up in THIS version of the game. I think that Scott KNEW and maybe WANTED this game to suck us in!"

Sinakumi: "Th-then...why would he want us to see them? Why spill the secrets to us? Or have someone risk seeing them?"

Sailor stopped for a moment. Both of them agreed to this statement...and this statement Sailor didn't take lightly. Sailor was the typically smarter one out of the two. Game logic, especially in complicated games clicked at Sailor's mind like a bomb impatiently waiting to explode. Then it hit her...she slowly turned to Sinakumi... Not realizing that they had walked, already, out of the pizzeria.

Sailor: "Not...some other people...not...even US. YOU. He wants...you to know this...probably because..."

Sinakumi: "That letter I sent him. He thought that I couldn't make a game good enough to top FNAF, so he's helping me...?"

Sailor: "I don't think that's what he's doing. Look, Sinakumi, you're a rookie game programmer, no offence..."

Sinakumi: "...none taken."

Sailor: "Okay...but he knew where you live, what your last name is, and has a guy named Vincent that even knew ME. I don't think that Scott thought that you were in need of help."

Sinakumi: "W-what are you talking about...?"

Sailor: "He knows. You...you ARE capable of topping him. Somehow you're able to top him...even if you don't know that."

Sinakumi: "But what does that have to do with FNAF...?"

Sailor grabbed Sinakumi by the shoulders and stared down at her fear, through her eyes. Sinakumi was practically shaking.

Sailor: "He's wanting you dead. He wants to take YOU down. And he wants me to go down with you."
